The Tribulation Networkwas established to deal with issues that relate to prophecy and actual events that are taking place right now. A leader will emerge who will appear to be the “savior” of the world and all its problems. He will represent a great nation referred to prophetically as "Babylon". This will be “decision time” for everyone – whether you are a Christian or not. You will be faced with decisions that will determine your eternal fate. For
Christians, Jesus does not promise an easy escape but says that “in the
world you will have tribulation. ” (Matthew
16:33)Are we greater than our Master
that we should expect anything less? May we be counted worthy to suffer for
Him.
This website is going to deal with vital issues for every
thinking person to consider:
Are these the “end times”? Can we know?
What about the rapture? Do we escape? Do we stay?
What are the personal implications?
What should we do about the world around us? Join with those who want to transform it and even take it back for “Christ and the Church?” Or do we withdraw and hide?
If these are the “end times”, what do we do about it?
Personally in terms of our families and future plans?
In terms of fellowship? (Stay with my church or leave
it)
In terms of finances?
In terms of spiritual preparation?
What will the condition of the “Church” be in the “last
days”?
Will there be a glorious revival or a falling away?
What is happening in the church today?
Where are the leaders taking it?
The Trib Net will not “reinvent the wheel” but will feature
other ministries writings and research or refer you to them. We don’t know it
all, but have just a little piece of the puzzle. Our goal is to get you to
think, to get you to touch the Lord and see what He would have you do. We
aren’t into telling you what to do but we want you to be able to learn to sense
the Lord’s leading and follow Him, wherever He may lead. There will be a number
of major areas of the website:
“Recognizing Deception and Apostasy” The Bible tells
us there will be an incredibly clever deception. How do we recognize it and
what do we do about it?
“Issues for the End Times Christian” If
these are the “end times”, what should we do about it?
“Survival Strategies” We are here to
learn from one another and will be glad to feature your ideas in any of these
categories. I think this is an important area for the “Tribulation saints”
to consider, but I don’t have all the answers. This is something the Lord
needs to show us individually and corporately.
“Letters from Babylon” is a series I have
written over the years following the format of C.S. Lewis in his famous book,
“Screwtape Letters” in which you have demons spinning their evil
plots. It is a powerful way of communicating and exposing what should be
obvious, but isn’t.
“Prophecy and Current Economic, Political and Miltary Issues” We will discuss many current issues and events as they relate to Bible prophecy - both here in America and abroad, especially the Middle East.
I’m not going to deal with all of the arguments as to whether we are in the “last days” right now. Let’s just take a hypothetical for a moment. Let’s assume that Israel does sign a treaty in the next year or so and that treaty really is “The Treaty” referred to in the Bible that begins Daniel’s
Seventieth Week between the antichrist and Israel (Daniel 7:29), then we have
two years before the start and only nine years in all! If this timetable were
true, what would that mean for you and me? That would make us Tribulation
saints! What would that do to our plans, and schemes, our retirements and
401k’s? How would we live our lives with the time that remains?
Here is what I do believe. I believe that:
Prophecy was written for a reason. If we were 19th Century Christians, this whole discussion would be academic. But if half of the Bible deals with “last days” prophecy, and we happen to be alive at that time, doesn’t it stand to reason that it may have a special message for us?
In the last chapter of the Book of Daniel, probably one of the most prophetic
books of the Old Testament, it says, “Go your way, Daniel, for these words
are concealed and sealed up until the end time. ” (Daniel 12:9). The meaning of these great prophetic scriptures has been concealed, hidden until that last generation that has a “need to know”. If that refers to us, then we have a need to know and God will reveal to us things He has never revealed before. I believe that. There has been a lot of misinterpretation by Biblical scholars up to this time because we have never had a “need to know.” The time wasn’t right. God will reveal what these prophetic scriptures mean to you and me, the little people who read the Book – not the professionals who have been brainwashed by old teachings and interpretations. Throw away all those books and just start reading THE BIBLE with an open heart, spirit and mind.
Prophecy was written so we would do something about it.
Matthew 24:36 tells us “for the coming of the Son of Man will be just like
the days of Noah.” That wasn’t just nice information for Noah, but God
expected Noah to act. There had never been a flood before so it looked pretty
silly when he started building a boat the size of an aircraft carrier!
God may want to tell you to do something as well. I’m not going to presume to
know what that is for you or ever tell you what to do. You need to learn to
listen to His still small voice and follow Him day by day. And if you don’t
learn that lesson, there will be little hope that you will escape the strong
deception coming upon the earth.
Again, I’m not going to go into detail here, but will later. The Bible is crystal clear that in the “last days” the Church falls away from sound doctrine, from moral standards but also becomes embedded in the culture, economy and politics of a corrupt world…a wealthy church that has need of nothing (see Revelation 3:14-22). When the time comes, you had better be in the living body of Christ and connected to other Christians, not in the dead apostate institution!
At the same time the institution and so-called “born
again” Christians are being deceived and falling away, the Lord Jesus is
raising up a people, a bride, a wonderful corporate testimony of His love and
power, a suffering people “who overcome him because of the blood of the
Lamb and because of the word of their testimony and they did not live their
life even to death.” (Revelation 12:11)
Whatever we are going to go through, each individual
needs a strong relationship with the Lord and with other Christians in order
to get through it.
One final word about what we are not. We are not a discernment ministry, nor a research ministry. We are a network of watchmen. We are not here to argue and debate. We are not going to tell you who the antichrist is or when this or that is going to happen. We do not have all the answers. We are here because we are acutely aware how much we need even the least significant part of the body of Christ, not that we are anything. We want to share with you insights of other like-minded Christians. We appreciate your input. We are just “watchmen” on the wall sharing with anyone who will listen because if this happens in our lifetime, it will not
be a trivial event but “a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since
the beginning of the world until now; nor ever shall” (Matthew
24:21). We have a message to get out in the highways and byways of the
world and the Lord needs as many watchmen as will volunteer. We are here to
serve you and you should be here to serve others.
So if you think there may be a possibility that you are a
“tribulation saint”, I would encourage you to stop back regularly and see what
is happening in the “network”. Better yet, get involved. Pray for us. Pass
the word around, etc. Begin to network with other Christians. Brainstorm with
others. Share it with us and we’ll share it with the “network”. Today, we are
like Noah telling people they need to build an ark – “yeah, right!” Tomorrow we
may be a community of believers holding on to one another for dear life.
