Subject: Making the World a “Better Place to Live"

My most glorious and illustrious master.  What I am about to share with you is top secret.  Our plans are working.  We have effectively neutralized the Bablyonian (American) evangelical followers of “you know who.”  Thankfully, they are clueless.  This strategy wouldn’t work with our colleague in China, but it works beautifully here in good old Babylon, Laodicea, America - it goes by many names.

 We must be very careful to never let them know our devious little plan, but history has shown that we are far more clever than those poor dumb evangelical sheep.  My scheme is simple.  Most evangelicals are convinced that America is special, chosen by G… to save the world.  They are convinced that “men of G…” founded the country and that it has a special calling.  You and I know the real truth - most of the founders gave G… lip service and followed their own selfish interests.  Isn’t historical revisionism wonderful?

 They firmly believe they can, as I said above, “make the world a better place to live.”  For one of the first times in history, they think they have a representative government that allows them to organize and affect what happens - at all levels from the local to the national level.  I have carefully conditioned them to believe that they can make a difference by all of their good activity, by their votes, by their involvement.

 Now you see.  I want them to believe this with all their heart.  I want them to work very very hard to try and “make the world a better place to live.”  If they believe this, they will spend all their precious little time and energy trying to actually do it.  They think that this makes them the “salt” and the “light”.  Great!  Let them get so busy retaking the Kingdom that the less time they will spend with “you know who” - who really transforms the little pests.

 These pitiful little creatures have forgotten the most basic fact - You, my Illustrious Master are the Lord of this world, the Prince of the Powers of the Air.  This is Your world.  So let them work their little fingers to the bone trying to “make it better.”  They are merely playing into our hands.  The more convinced they are that they can make a difference - bless the “Religious Right” - the more empty and powerless they will be.

 My most wonderful Master.  This is truly unique in all of history.  Christians down through the ages never focused on “making the world a better place to live.”  But now my precious little Babylon, is such a wonderful place.  There is nothing to compare it to - not even old Babylon with its beautiful temples and gardens.  Even the poor are rich by any standard.  They are so wealthy on a per capita basis, no one in the world or down through history compares.  Why do they want to “make it a better place?”  Frankly, they have a lot to lose.  But not to worry, they love their TVs far more than they love that Book.

 As long as they hold on to the hope that they can change the world, improve it, stop abortions, bring prayer back into schools, make their neighborhoods safe, improve their government….as long as they think they can and should make a difference and stay away from any relationship with "you know who", I have them where I want them.  Let them think they can make it better.  Let them think they can bring the kingdom of G… to the earth.  Let them invest their insignificant little lives working toward that goal ……and they are neutralized!  Worthless!  Useless!  Playing right into our hands!

 Then we can bring a good, moral solution, something that appeals to their self righteous nature.  They will welcome the antiC.… with open arms.  How foolish they are!  Playing right into our hands!  Ha!
