I just read an interesting story in the Daily Reckoning:

 

“In a scene from Douglas Adams’ Life, the Universe and Everything, Arthur Dent and his alien friend Ford Prefect end up at a cricket match in modern-day England. A crowd of spectators is enjoying the game when a giant spaceship descends from the sky and hovers directly over the field. But only Arthur and Ford notice the ship. 

 

Ford explains that the ship is using a “Somebody Else’s Problem field generator.” Essentially, the device makes people think the spaceship isn’t their concern — effectively rendering it invisible. Ford and Arthur can see it because they know what they’re looking for… while the crowd remains completely oblivious.

 

This is a wonderful picture of where we are today whether we are looking at politics, war, economics or religion.  We just go our way thinking it is someone else’s concern.  The lumpen investor seems pretty sure that the economy will adjust and keep growing from one great level of prosperity to another.  The lumpen voter is looking forward to a regime change in Washington making things better.  And the Christian feels pretty secure that in spite of the signs of the times, God wouldn’t allow them to suffer but will “spirit” them away before the going gets tough.  There seems to be some device in the air today that convinces us all that there will never be any problems.  Human ingenuity will allow us to surmount them all.  The thing in the air is called “DECEPTION.”  The few little voices crying in the internet wilderness wonder why so few see it.”

 

Will We Fix the Economy?

 

I wanted to add an addendum to my last article.  In the past few weeks we have seen the markets hit an all-time high followed by a 10 percent fall in the major financial indices.  This was precipitated by the subprime mortgage loans and the default of major lending institutions.  We’ll look at one example to see how this works.

 

In the past huge mortgage lenders such as Countrywide would bundle loans into a security that they would sell to investors.  These “bundles” would usually include some “AAA plus” rated loans (the best), mixed up with higher risk loans (A-LTA and subprime).  By selling these “securitized” packages of loans, they would then have money to loan to more people.  Countrywide packaged and sold loans representing eleven billion dollars to the Fed.   So what did the Fed do?  Over the space of a week it bought those loans knowing they were basically junk – a clear bail out for Countrywide and other lenders.

 

The long term effect of the injection of billions of dollars into the economy will be inflation.  The more money in circulation, the less value it has.  The Fed injected $40 billion in one week and the European Central Banks injected $250 billion.  On Friday (August 17, 2007) the Fed cut the discount rate to banks by a half percent to 5.75%.  There is speculation that it will drop the Federal Funds rate by a quarter percent before their September 18th meeting and another quarter percent at that meeting.  They are desperately trying to stave off disaster – an increase in interest rates, a freeze in capital and credit by making the same mistakes again – making tons of money available by lowering the interest rate and injecting dollars into the system thereby causing even more inflation down the road. 

 

The purpose of all this money is to provide “liquidity.” It is more of the same cheap money that got markets in trouble in the first place!  By cutting rates, the Fed has given speculators and Wall Street what they want.  This will only exacerbate the monetary crisis and make the final adjustment that much more painful.  Liquidity doesn’t resolve debt and debt permeates every area of our society – from family, to corporate, to national, to international.

 

There is only one thing that causes inflation – increasing the money supply which leads to rising prices and the boom and bust cycle.  But this is not an isolated event as it was in the Great Depression (affecting just western Europe and America).  As U.S. Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson said recently in an article entitled “The Greatest Economic Boom Ever: Enjoy It While It Lasts,” we are in for a global shock:

 

“We haven’t had a global financial shock since 1998. I believe that these large and dramatic increases in private pools of capital and in the credit derivatives markets since then have helped manage and disperse risk and make the economy more efficient. When we do have one—and it’s when, not if; that’s not me being negative, it’s just that we’re not going to defy economic gravity—we’ll be seeing for the first time how some of these instruments perform under stress.”

 

A former Federal Reserve economist Former Reserve Bank economist, Adrian Blundell-Wignall, currently the deputy director of financial and enterprise affairs at the OECD, states:

 

“There is a ‘rolling bubble’ of excess money sloshing around the globe, shifting from market to market.” (Stephen Long, OECD Economist Warns of Global Financial Bubble, ABC News, July 24, 2007)

 

It is being inflated by a series of distortions in the world economy; and unless they are dealt with, he predicts the bubble will eventually burst, with serious consequences (quote from Stephen Long).

 

Bill Bonner of The Daily Reckoning quips:

 

 

“Every market is a public spectacle. And every public spectacle follows a certain pattern. It begins with lies and humbug – ‘emergency’ low lending rates from the Fed…faith-based currency…stocks for the long-run. Then, it progresses into farce - hedge funds…low-doc mortgage loans…and ‘cove-lite’ LBO financing. And finally, it ends in disaster.”

 

He also repeats another dictum:

 

“The force of a correction is equal and opposite to the deception that proceeded it. Never before in the history of the world have so many people believed so many things that couldn’t be true. Now, they owe more money to more people than ever before. And it could take a long, painful correction…or worse…to straighten things out.”

 

Meanwhile, no one seems the least bit interested in the really big news: 

 

“This boom is a fraud.

 

The Theology of Capitalism is a false god.

 

And the prosperity that Americans enjoy today is a swindle….

 

Let’s see, the average guy went further into debt during the period…while his income went down. If he isn't poorer, who is?

 

And yet, the average guy thinks he is getting richer. He’s got more stuff…including a bigger house…and more cars. And practically the whole world thinks the United States has a dynamic, prosperous economy. But if the average guy gets poorer during the biggest boom in history…what kind of prosperity is that?

 

Allow us to answer our own question: It is flim-flam prosperity. It is the kind of prosperity you feel when you’ve just bought a doublewide trailer with a subprime ARM. It is the kind of prosperity you get when you take a trip to Europe on your credit cards, expecting to refinance your house when you get back in order to pay off the debt. It is the kind of prosperity that turns you into a pauper.

 

Not only is the average guy unaware that he is being swindled, so is the average investor. He sees nothing wrong. In fact, what he sees is that nothing CAN go wrong.” (Excerpts from The Daily Reckoning)

 

GLOBAL IMBALANCE – THE GOD OF MAMMON

 

There is a global imbalance of massive proportions never seen in the history of the world.  Nearly all central banks are printing paper money that will eventually be worth the paper it’s printed on.  Excessive money creation caused a run up in stock markets across the world; real estate bubbles like we have experienced.  Producer countries like Germany, China and Japan will be disappointed when they are paid back with worthless inflated dollars which may eventually lead them to stop loaning us their money so we can buy their goods.  Meanwhile, the average person is clueless and hopeful that the god of Mammon will continue to prosper.

 

When and how will it end?  It will eventually end in a global financial crisis, the complete failure of fiat (paper) currency and, in all likelihood, someone’s brilliant plan to track everything electronically.  This may have something to do with a mark and the numbers “666”!!!  Most serious economists (not the cheerleader money men on CNBC or Bloomberg) know that it will end badly, even very badly.

 

Meanwhile, the Federal Reserve and the other central banks of the world will continue to keep the game going – perhaps for years to come – postponing the inevitable crash.  The deception will grow to massive proportions and most people will think their prosperity can last forever.  The central bankers, wizards that they are, will appear to be in control of the economy.  The imbalances between nations will grow.  The amount of money in circulation will grow and prices will rise so slowly, you won’t even notice. 

 

Who would ever think that our first house that cost $18,000 in 1972 would cost 20 times that amount today?  After 35 years, is it worth more?  Are the walls newer?  Is the plumbing or electrical any better?  Is the neighborhood any better?   I doubt it.  Inflation creeps up on you slowly just like the frog in the pot of water.

 

I would refer you to various chapters in my book, “In Search of Babylon,” that deal with issues such as the economy, housing, the nature of the Federal Reserve and how our money system really works, Social Security’s future, etc.  A recession or depression is a natural reaction of the economy to bring the system back into balance – squeezing excess investment, manufacturing capacity, dollars, and adjusting balance of payments and currency inequities and so forth.  As economists point out, the longer the correction is postponed, the worse it will be.  The Fed intervened in the dot.com recession of 2000 by lowering interest rates to one percent and pumping new dollars into the economy, causing the housing bubble.  Now, in 2007, rather than allowing the economy to self correct, they are injecting more money, lowering interest rates – in essence bailing out businesses that should be allowed to fail.  This will only postpone and make the inevitable adjustment worse.

 

The Bible is full of prophecy regarding the end times—a tumultuous time of wars and rumors of wars, ethnic wars, famines, pestilence, earthquakes, etc. (e.g. see Matthew 24:4-8).  Catastrophe and war add to economic dislocation and imbalance.  Revelation 6:5-6  talks about a time when people work an entire day just to buy food.  The economic problems culminate in Revelation 13:16-18 where we see people having to receive the “mark of the beast” in order to be able to buy or sell. 

 

It appears that the economic system will get to a point where the old system will no longer work and a new one will be instituted where people will receive a mark – possibly some kind of electronic chip that identifies them so they’ll be able to buy and sell.  There is a lot of speculation on how this will be done; but the point is, there will be a world leader (known as the Antichrist in the Bible) who will take control of the economy, the religious system (because he will be worshipped) as well as the political system.  We see a blended religious/political system.  Let’s look at some Scriptures:

 

“The beast was given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies and to exercise his authority for forty-two months.  He opened his mouth to blaspheme God, and to slander his name and his dwelling place and those who live in heaven.  He was given power to make war against the saints and to conquer them. And he was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation.  All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast—all whose names have not been written in the book of life belonging to the Lamb that was slain from the creation of the world.

 

“He who has an ear, let him hear. If anyone is to go into captivity, into captivity he will go.

“If anyone is to be killed with the sword, with the sword he will be killed. This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of the saints.

 

“Then I saw another beast, coming out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, but he spoke like a dragon.  He exercised all the authority of the first beast on his behalf, and made the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose fatal wound had been healed.  And he performed great and miraculous signs, even causing fire to come down from heaven to earth in full view of men.  Because of the signs he was given power to do on behalf of the first beast, he deceived the inhabitants of the earth. He ordered them to set up an image in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived.  He was given power to give breath to the to worship the image to be killed.  He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name.

 

“This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man's number. His number is 666” (Revelation 15:5-18).

 

Here we see clearly that this person not only has power over the earth, but people worship him.  He makes war against Christians.  He has power to deceive and to do miraculous signs and wonders.  He also has ultimate control over commerce through the infamous “mark of the beast.”  This brings us to a related transition.

 

What Nation Represents Prophetic Babylon?

 

The Bible clearly describes a great end times nation that is the seat of the antichrist.  The nation is Christian in character (“outwardly” gilded with all manner of precious stones and gold), although “apostate” (fallen) Christian and in the business of persecuting real Christians (Ref. Matthew 24).  This apostate Church has made an unholy alliance with the state as described in Revelation 17.  It is the commercial powerhouse and consumer nation of the world as seen in Revelation 18 and the political/military power of the world as seen in Revelation 19. 

 

It is variously described in Daniel 9 as the nation which signs a defense treaty with Israel.  (Daniel 11:29-39 on the Antichrist)   There are references to his activities in Isaiah, Ezekiel, etc.  We discuss this subject extensively on our website.  I also discuss the identity of this nation in the book In Search of Babylon.  Doug Krieger has many articles on this subject if you want the details.

 

Just to summarize, there is only one nation that came out of Europe (Daniel’s “little horn” (lit. “younger”)) and ended up dominating all of the others.  America still has the largest offensive military of any nation on the earth.  It is not only “Christian” by heritage but has a sense of destiny (especially the current administration).  It is by far the largest economy of the world (in spite of the problems). 

 

Prophetic Babylon is Israel’s only friend and the only nation likely to sign a defense treaty with them.  Three chapters in Revelation (17, 18 and 19) describe her in her three aspects.  Chapter 17 describes an apostate Christian nation that works with the “State” only to have it turn on her.  Chapter 18, in particular, describes a consumer nation that all the world trades with and gets rich by her trade – all by sea.  Chapter 19 describes her military power.

 

Again, I would encourage you to look at the book In Search of Babylon and Doug’s recent articles giving the Biblical basis for America’s true identity in prophecy.  He clearly points out that the tendency of evangelicals to be “Eurocentric” is based on historic positions rather than today’s geopolitical realities.

 

Unfortunately this “Eurocentricity” is all part of the deception that has cast a pall over today’s Church.  The fact is, very few churches care about prophecy and are set up for deception.  A Christian who is expecting to rapture will hardly recognize the Treaty of Hell and Death which kicks off the final seven year period (Daniel’s Seventieth Week – see Daniel 9:26-27).

 

That treaty is between Israel and the Antichrist and the nation he represents guaranteeing Israel’s peace.  The fact that a growing number of Christians believe prophecy is irrelevant or has already happened, leaves a vast number open to “religious deception.”  That deception is amplified by another growing group of American Christians and their Western counterparts who aspire to bring the kingdom of God to the earth (called dominionists).

 

Will We Fix Our Elections as Well – THE INCIDENT WILL!

 

The religious right finally came to their own in sharing political power in 2000 when George Bush was elected President.  We have seen some of the results of that marriage the past seven years as the administration claimed to be advancing family values, education through “no child left behind,” faith-based initiatives and a “just war” to depose a horrible dictator and bring democracy in the Middle East.  Instead we have seen an administration that has progressively grabbed power, trampled on human rights, incited Muslims, created a hot bed of Islamic fundamentalism, taken advantaged of soldiers—leaving their families to fend for themselves—cut health care and education, while the rich grow fabulously richer and the middle class slips into poverty and underemployment. 

 

The general public has been cowed into accepting onerous and illogical travel restrictions, surveillance, search and seizure and restricted speech in the name of fighting terrorism.  The specter of 9/11 hangs over the country as we wait for the other terrorist shoe to drop.

 

We are probably the most media saturated people in the history of the world and the least informed.  How quickly we bought the lie that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction and that Iraq was the seat of Al-Qaeda and the major cause of 9/11 – spurious lies perpetrated by the Bush Administration.

 

We are bringing democracy to Iraq while our constitutional government is being shredded by a record number of laws and “signing statements” stripping us of our basic rights.  Over 200 signing statements have been made where, for example, Bush signs the law but says he disagrees with it and has no intention of enforcing it.  In other words, executive power trumps legislative power – a claim made by the Caesars of Rome who said that only they represented ALL the people.

A recent article asked the unthinkable question.  Will the Bush administration cancel the 2008 election?  I’m not a conspiracy nut, but there certainly are questions about how the 2000 election came down with Gore winning the popular vote and losing the election.  And again in 2004, there were many questions about voter fraud, voting machine accuracy, etc. in closely contested states such as Ohio.  Laws have been passed that give the president dictatorial powers in the case of an emergency.

 

“Most crucial now are Presidential Directive #51, Executive Orders #13303, #13315, #13350, #13364, #13422, #13438, and more, by which Bush has granted himself an immense arsenal of powers for which the term “dictatorial” is a modest understatement…

 

Today we must ask: Who would stop this administration from taking dictatorial power in the instance of a “national emergency” such as a terror attack at a nuclear power plant or something similar?

 

Nothing in the behavior of this Congress indicates that it is capable of significant resistance. Impeachment seems beyond it. Nor does it seem Congress would actually remove Bush if it did put him on trial.

Short of that, Bush clearly does not view anything Congress might do as a meaningful impediment. After all, how many divisions does the Congress command?

 

The Supreme Court, as currently constituted, would almost certainly rubber stamp a Bush coup. If not, like Jackson, he could ignore it as easily as he would ignore Congress.”  (Global Research, August 7, 2007)

 

Even more frightening is the interview with General Tommy Franks, the general who led the Iraq invasion in 2003. 

 

“Gen. Tommy Franks (Commander of Coalition Forces during the invasion of Iraq in 2003) said in an interview with the lifestyle magazine Cigar Aficionado that if another terrorist attack occurs in the United States ‘The Constitution will likely be discarded in favor of a military form of government.’ The stunning revelation is the headline story on the right-wing news site NewsMax for Friday. Franks said that another terrorism attack will result in ‘... the Western world, the free world, loses what it cherishes most, and that is freedom and liberty we’ve seen for a couple of hundred years...’ He indicated that if another terrorism attack occurs Bush will likely declare martial law and the Constitution will apparently be ‘discarded’’” (By Rob, Tommy Franks Says Bush May Discard Constitution If Another Terrorist Attack Occurs, Daily Kos, November 21, 2003).

 

Friends, this was not some ideologue from the left or the right.  This comes from the four star general that led the Iraqi invasion!  So, if the only thing standing between martial law and constitutional government is such an incident, then what is the likelihood that something will happen?  I know this is an uncomfortable subject for many of you.  The idea that the government could lie to us, scheme against us or perpetrate something against its citizens is unbelievable.  We reject the thought out of hand.  Anyone who would say such a thing is a conspiracy nut, a kook. 

 

I don’t like the idea of entertaining these thoughts any more than you.  I served this country as a Captain in the Army during the Vietnam era.  I want to believe the best, just like you.  However, I would remind you that our government had knowledge of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor before it happened and did nothing to protect its citizens.  The Gulf of Tonkin crisis which got us into the Vietnam War was a trumped up lie.  There are many other examples.  Let’s just say that governments have not always been honest.

 

The end of the Cold War left America without a mission; without an enemy.  What were we going to do with our army, navy, air force, missile defense systems, etc. without an enemy?  How were we going to project American power around the earth to protect American interests (especially commercial interests)?  In 1997, the Joint Chiefs described a role for the military that would have “full spectrum dominance” in the 21st Century. But as the second Bush administration came in, they were disheartened at how long it would take to bring about the needed transformation, they wrote prior to 9/11 that “the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event—like a new Pear Harbor.”  (Emphasis mine, PNAC, Rebuilding America’s Defenses, p. 51)

 

So was there a catastrophic, catalyzing event that allowed the administration to set aside the Constitution and seize power with the assistance and blessing of Congress?  If it were a transformative moment, the American public would rally around the administration and the military.  Congressional resistance would become a race to see how much authority they could give the administration.  Measures that would have been resisted for years would be passed in weeks in the form supreme Patriot Act. 

 

The Bush Doctrine of a preemptive—preventive war was sold to the nation and all because of 9/11.

 

But wait, you may say, what about the 9/11 Commission?  Hasn’t this been studied and questioned sufficiently?  If you ask the right questions, you get the right answers.  If you ask the wrong questions, you will never get the right answers. 

 

The Commission was headed by Phillip Zelikow, an insider member of the Bush Administration.   The assumption was made that 19 Middle Eastern hijackers brought the planes down.  No other evidence or theories were examined.  I realize that there are conspiracy theorists and websites out there that make all kinds of accusations but because of the tremendous volume of information out there, especially on the internet, I am going to restrict my comments to the findings presented by David Ray Griffin in his book, Christian Faith and the Truth Behind 9/11 (2006 by Westminister John Knox Press).

 

Griffin’s initial response was to believe the official story but was later otherwise convinced by an abundance of evidence.  His book is very well footnoted and I encourage you to get a copy in order to see the tremendous amount of research that went into it.  If you are open-minded and carefully examine the evidence, I think you will see that it would be difficult to come to any other conclusion.  There are many aspects to the 9/11 situation; so, in the interest of time, I am just going to deal with one aspect – the way the towers fell. 

 

If you are interested in other aspects, I encourage you to research the situation for yourself.  If I can cast doubt over the towers collapse, that should cast doubt over the entire event.  Think outside the box.  Also, if this were a planned event, wouldn’t you expect any other view to be met with ridicule?  Wouldn’t you expect there to be a cover-up if the true facts were different than the official story?

 

Collapse of the Twin Towers

 

As we get into the detail, you need to know that the Twin Towers were designed to withstand the impact of a large jet.  There has never, in history, been a single high rise building that has collapsed from fire – even buildings where the fires have burned for many hours.  Several key questions are:  Did the fire reach temperatures where steel girders are compromised?  Was there opportunity for someone to plant explosives?  Why did the buildings (including building seven) collapse in perfect demolition fashion?  What are the chances of this happening?  What are the characteristics of a building brought down by explosives?   How do buildings usually fall?

 

To begin with, it takes extreme skill to bring a building straight down.  Only the best demolition experts in the world can make that happen and yet here we have several buildings that came down in perfect fashion.  Just think about it:  If girders supporting a building are compromised by tremendous heat, the chance that all would be equally compromised are very small.  The building would likely topple rather than collapse.   Can you imagine the devastation if two one hundred plus story towers toppled in the middle of an extremely dense area as Manhattan? 

 

Before we get into the science of building collapse, I would like to point out that there were hundreds of testimonies from workers and rescuers that were not publicly released until August 12, 2005 when they were forced to do so by court order (Griffin, pp. 21-33).

 

To speak of a planned implosion is the same as a controlled demolition, setting explosives off in the proper order.  Many workers reported hearing multiple explosions, hearing pops, shaking of the ground before collapse.

 

One officer reported, “We originally had thought there was like an internal detonation, explosives, because it went in succession, boom, boom, boom, boom and then the tower came down (Griffin quote, p. 25).  Others reported what are known as “explosion rings” – “flashes kept popping all the way around the building.  The popping sound, and with each popping sound came an initial orange and then a red flash out of the building, and then it would just go all around the building and that building started to explode.”  There were hundreds of testimonies from people on site to this effect.  I bet you never heard that before?  Demolition is timed and synchronized – exactly what people reported and what the video record shows.

 

The official story is that the jets weakened the towers by crashing into them and that the jet fuel caused a tremendously hot fire that eventually caused the building to pancake down on top of itself.  First, we repeat that there has never been a steel frame building that has ever collapsed due to fire and some burned for days rather than just an hour or less.

 

Second, steel doesn’t begin to melt until it reaches 2800 degrees Fahrenheit.  Yet fires caused by jet fuel (which is basically kerosene) reach from 1100 to a maximum of 1700 degrees (Griffin, p. 36).  Photos of the crash show that there was a huge fireball from the initial impact, much of the fuel burning outside the building.  Photographs of the twin towers show that after 15 minutes there were few flames, and lots of black smoke, showing that the flames were oxygen starved.   Of the 16 columns examined by the NIST, “only three columns had evidence that the steel reached temperatures above 150 degrees (482 F) and no evidence that any of the core columns reached even those temperatures” (Griffin, p. 37). 

 

Even though the debris was whisked away on barges and sent to China within weeks, samples were found.  Once these samples were tested by independent labs, they were found to contain cordite, an explosive that is designed to cut steel columns.  Again, there is much more evidence of the Twin Tower planned collapse on the internet.  In fact the ruins were found to be so hot that there was molten steel in the basement which is physically impossible without extremely hot burning explosives.

 

Characteristics of Controlled Demolition

 

The only way any steel structure has ever been brought down is through controlled demolition.  We will look at these characteristics and see if there is any similarity to the World Trade Center Twin Towers’ collapse.  The following material is taken from Griffin’s text, pp. 39-56, with specific page quotes interspersed:

 

“The onset of collapse is sudden.  If steel were heated to the melting point, it doesn’t suddenly break or buckle.  There would be bending, sagging and toppling over.

 

In a controlled implosion, the building comes straight down – a feat only the experts can accomplish through laying the right explosive in the right places and timing the charges exactly at the right moment.

 

We are told the building pancaked downward.  This process would have taken some time because of the resistance.  The towers came down at near free fall speeds, the south tower in 10 seconds according to the 9/11 Commission Report.  Only controlled implosion explains the collapse.

 

The 110 story buildings had 47 massive steel box columns that totally collapsed.  ‘There is no plausible explanation of why the core columns would have broken or even buckled, so as to produce global collapse at virtually free-fall speed…’ (p. 41).

 

In a controlled demolition, explosives slice columns into pieces, into manageable lengths which the Twin Towers inexplicably managed to do.

Another characteristic of controlled demolition is a lot of dust because of the powerful explosions which slice steel and pulverize concrete.

 

Another characteristic is dust clouds.  The building was pulverized into fine powder which we all saw as the clouds of dust pursued the fleeing crowd.

When there is an explosion, there is a horizontal ejection of materials which we can see from the photo evidence and reports of on site witnesses.  Some material went out up to 500 feet. (p.43)

 

Another characteristic is demolition rings reported by witnesses.  Only high explosives could cause the molten steel reported by witnesses.  There are sounds caused by the explosions as reported and recorded by video evidence.

 

The probability that all eleven of these characteristics would be present is zero.  The fact that 100 tons of steel were removed before they could be properly examined suggests cover-up.  Photographic evidence shows the antenna on top of the north tower starting to topple but once the demolitions began, it followed the building straight down (p.45).

 

So how could this have happened?  It just so happens that the President’s brother, Marvin Bush, was one of the directors of Securacom, the company in charge of security; and Bushes’ cousin, Win Walker III, was the CEO from 1999 to January 2002.  A security alert at the Twin Towers, including bomb sniffing dogs, was lifted a week before 9/11.  On September 8 and 9, 2001, there was a power down condition which meant no electrical supply from floor 50 on up; therefore, no security cameras were available on 9/11.  It was also reported that in the weeks prior to 9/11, the towers were evacuated a number of times (p.47).

 

There is so much more, including the collapse of building 7.  It was reported that it began to collapse at its bottom resulting in a tiny pile of rubble.  This is one of the most difficult types of demolition to do.  We are told that this 47 story building, that wasn’t even hit by a jet and had small fires on the south side of two floors, just up and collapses!!!

 

A letter sent to the Los Angeles Times said, “The number of contradictions in the official version of …9/11 is so overwhelming that…it simply cannot be believed.  Yet…the official version cannot be abandoned because the implication of rejecting it is far more disturbing; that we are subject to a government conspiracy of ‘X-Files’ proportions and insidiousness” (as quoted on p.54) 

 

Another expert concluded that it must have been caused by some explosive devises inside the buildings because they were too methodical to have been chance results of the airplane strikes (p.55).

 

The evidence is almost insurmountable.  Again, I would encourage you to research the subject yourself—especially, if you have doubts about the dealings with the hijackers, the phone calls, the Pentagon, the President’s strange reactions in the Kindergarten class, etc.

 

If 9/11 was orchestrated by a group within the administration, what is to keep them from doing it again?  One thing we can say is that 9/11 was a watershed in shifting the balance of power to the Executive Branch to say the least.  The big question is:  Will it stop there or result in an Executive for life?

 

So What Do the Twin Towers have to Do With the 2008 Election?

 

If the current administration was so desperate that it hijacked the 2000 election, and was at least complicit in one form or another in 9/11 (probably a small part of it); and it had a not-so-hidden agenda of constructing an oil/gas pipeline through Afghanistan (and after 6 years, we seem to be losing rather than gaining ground in this War on Terror); likewise, it lied about Al-Qaeda and weapons of mass destruction to get us into a war in Iraq; it possibly stole the 2004 election – although we’ll never know – then what makes you think “something” is not planned for the 2008 election?

 

There were numerous allegations of voting irregularities, which showed contempt for the Constitution and called that document but dung, and thereby systematically dismantled the Bill of Rights and laid the groundwork for martial law; and, furthermore, this Administration has been so secretive about virtually everything and continues to stonewall in not allowing its staff to testify before Congress under the veil of “executive privilege.”

 

This blatant contempt for Congress, amplified by Bush’s signing statements,

lends further credibility to the notion that his administration was complicit (to some extent) in the 9/11 attack.

 

Yes, frankly, this is the same administration who thinks it not robbery to rob from the poor, from needy children and veterans to enrich the rich!

 

Would not that same administration, threatened with defeat, threatened with the unraveling of its policies and the loss of its position in the Middle East, not to mention the threat to its business cronies if they are denied access to tons of oil and ipso facto the loss of empire and influence, do all it could to maintain the "economic status quo?"
 

 

Would not this same administration cancel the election if another 9/11 type event were to occur?  If this man who doesn’t care what polls say, no matter how unpopular he is, no matter what people, world leaders, the UN, the Democrats or even the Republicans think—then can you really trust what he will do in the next election year of 2008?

 

For whatever reason, he seems hell bent on staying in Iraq, taking on Iran and anyone else he thinks is threatening America.  He seems to really believe he is called to do this and nothing will stop him.  The idea of losing all that he has so carefully crafted in nearly seven years can be his for life if there is another 9/11 type event.  One big “I told you so!”  And, why not—all the legislation is in place to declare martial law, cancel elections and thereby provide peace and safety for an anxious population.

 

The Department of Homeland Security recently carried out a full-scale  exercise to prepare for martial law defending America from terrorism.

 

“The President has the power to seize property, organize and control the means of production, seize commodities, assign military forces abroad, call reserve forces amounting to 2 1/2 million men to duty, institute martial law, seize and control all means of transportation, regulate all private enterprise, restrict travel, and in a plethora of particular ways, control the lives of all Americans...”  (Bush makes power grab, Jerome Corse, WorldNetDaily, May 23, 2007).

 

Good grief, FEMA has already contracted with Halliburton to build detention camps around the country!  (See Doug’s article:  Peace and Prosperity as Destruction and Corruption.)

 

The Pentagon is laying plans for actions within America’s borders.  The growth and consolidation of federal powers in the hands of the executive branch has grown at an exponential rate during the last few years. Recent legislation, Presidential directives, and pronouncements, directly from the Bush and Cheney gang, form a blueprint for the establishment of martial law and the suspension of the U.S. Constitution. These powers are being amassed with the justification that they are necessary preparation for a ‘national emergency’.  (Towards Dictatorship in America) – (Or see the article titled Martial Law in America – If terrorists strike U.S. Cities with nuclear weapons, our nation will never be the same.  Borders will close, detention camps will open, and America will be a thing of the past.)

 

Another 9/11 event will also cover up the miserable state of the economy, the banking system and all the bubbles percolating around the world.  It will give an excuse for the problems in the economy.  Terrorism provides an exuse and justification for just about any government action imaginable.  There is little doubt that inflation caused by the uncontrolled creation of paper currency, asset bubbles (the stock market, housing, commodities), the banking crisis caused by poor lending practices, unbridled debt and consumption – the effect of all of these things will be masked by a major attack.  People and legislators have shown that they are more than willing to give up freedom for security.  The government has shown that it is willing and able to blame the war on terror for just about anything, including their own failures in manipulating the economy.   Only a major attack on America will deflect the blame of the coming Depression

 

 

Conclusion

 

It is with some trepidation frankly that Doug and I continue to speak out on prophecy.  You don’t have to be a genius to understand what the last days are all about: Israel (Jerusalem—a cup of trembling to the nations); the nations surrounding Israel; a great military and commercial power that will sign a defense pact with Israel (probably America); and, the Antichrist (ruler of Babylon/America – it so happens to be the same person right now).  It is also no accident that a third to a half of our hits come from around the world from countries like Iran, Syria, Jordan, Egypt, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Turkey, etc.  What part of Jihad don’t we understand?

 

What happened the Sunday after 9/11?  The churches filled up with scared people.  American flags were passed out in many of them.  Unfortunately, another event will evoke the same response.  The knee jerk reaction of Christians will be to lock step behind their leader for several reasons:

 

 

·        He is viewed as one of them – an evangelical Christian

·        He supports the nation of Israel (at least in word)

·        He views radical Islam as terrorist and the avowed enemy of both Israel and America.

·        Both the President and many Christians have a sense of America’s destiny as “God’s Redeemer Nation” to the world – a beacon of light – a city set on a hill – a cup of blessing

 

What does all this amount to? . . . An unbroken and firm alliance between the apostate Church and the militant State.  I may be wrong, but I don’t see elections in 2008.  First, it would weaken the church/state alliance of Revelation 17.  Christians will assume that because the President is for Israel that he is “their man.”  Second, if the administration has been so willing to go to all the trouble to get into and stay in power thus far, I can’t imagine him relinquishing it so easily.  One more major terrorist event is all it will take to end life as we know it and propel America on a prophetic path declared thousands of years ago.  Are we about to witness THE MOTHER OF ALL DECEPTIONS?

 

Alas!  The convergence of economic, political and religious subterfuge is upon us . . .

 

“And there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation, even to that time . . . for then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be . . . These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb” (Daniel 12:1; Matthew 24:21; Revelation 7:14).
