FULL NUCLEARIZATION

. . . Israel will disappear

Part XIII – The Prophetic Sequence

By

Doug Krieger

Oh what a difference a couple of weeks make!  The Rev. Ted Haggard falls from grace—no longer the leader of the National Association of Evangelicals; ipso facto leading to, among other Republican corruptions, overall evangelical disenchantment with the 2006 election . . . propelling Blue Dog democrats of populist bent to destroy the likes of Rep. John Murtha (a.k.a. the old Abscamer (Arab Scam) of the early ‘80s)—so much for Rep. Nancy Pelosi’s ability to count votes!

Yes indeed, there are manifold theological implications (let alone a new set of shady politicians to deal with) relative to the past several weeks.  Consider, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad way back on October 20, 2006, calling Israel’s leaders a “group of terrorists” – threatening any country that supports the Zionist State (viz. the USA) – and as if Houdini and Khomeini have any harmonic twist to their names:  “Israel will disappear!”

“‘You imposed a group of terrorists ... on the region,’ Ahmadinejad said, addressing the U.S. and its allies. ‘It is in your own interest to distance yourself from these criminals... This is an ultimatum. Don't complain tomorrow.’” (Iranian President Says Israel will Disappear, Threatens its Allies, Fox News, October 20, 2006)

Of course, all of this rhetoric is ensconced in Islamic hyperbole:

“This regime (i.e., Israeli) thanks to God, has lost the reason for its existence . . . Efforts to stabilize this fake (Israeli) regime, by the grace of God, have completely failed . . .You should believe that this regime is disappearing.” (As in “wiped off the map”?) (Ibid.)

Peppering Ahmadinejad’s speech throughout were warnings that certain nations would take “revenge” upon  . . . (first two guesses don’t count) (Ibid.)

FULL NUCLEARIZATION

That was then, this is now . . .

“President George W. Bush, responding to concerns Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert brought to the White House, called on Monday for worldwide isolation of Iran until it ‘gives up its nuclear ambitions.’” (Isolate Iran Because of Nuclear Threat:  Bush, AP, November 13, 2006)

That was then, this is now – a few hours later . . .

“Tehran - Iran has vowed it would deliver a ‘destructive’ response to any Israeli military attack on its atomic sites, and said it would continue trying to boost its capacity for sensitive nuclear work.

“Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mohammad Ali Hosseini said yesterday Iran was planning to install much more equipment at an atomic plant to enrich uranium, a process the West fears could be diverted to make nuclear weapons.

“His comments came after an Israeli official refused to rule out a strike on the Islamic republic to halt the progress of its atomic program, with the United Nations still unable to agree on sanctions against Tehran.

““Israel does not have the means and the capability to dare threaten Iran. If it commits such a stupidity, the Islamic republic and its defenders will give a destructive response within a second,’ Hosseini said.” (Atomic War of Words Growing Louder, The Star, November 13, 2006)

TEN-DAY DAWN – ISLAMIC REVOLUTION VICTORY!

The Islamic Republic of Iran claims it will reach “full nuclearization” by February, 2007.  Thence, these ominous words from Israel . . .

“Israeli Deputy Defense Minister Ephraim Sneh said in remarks published at the weekend: ‘I'm not advocating Israeli pre-emptive military action against Iran. I consider it a last resort. But even the last resort is sometimes the only resort.’” (Ibid.)

PM Olmert and Benjamin Netanyahu this week in the USA both stated that “Iran must not be allowed to pass the threshold of a nuclear weapons capability.” (Debka File, November 14, 2006)

The first days of February are known as the “Ten-Day Dawn” – the period which annually marks the Islamic Revolution victory in Iran (1979). According to Ahmadinejad, the next celebration in three months will mark “the Iranian nation’s success in mastering the fuel cycle.” (Ibid.)

Now, that sounds like someone is getting prepared to wipe you off the map!  That’s how the Israelis see it—how would you see it?  The Debka articles indicate that Iran still has much “preparation” in its quest to join the nuclear club, and may only be bluffing to buy more time (i.e., Suggesting that they’ve reached “nuclear critical mass” and there’s nothing that the USA nor Israel can do to stop them now.)

OF DOLLARS AND NAVAL BUILD-UPS

As if all the above were not enough – here’s the biggie:

“Economy minister Davoud Danes Jafari announced Tuesday: ‘We will carry out our foreign currency transactions with currencies other than the dollar and our use of the dollar will reach a minimum level.’ Tehran acted in response to US curbs on Iranian banks.” (Ibid.)

As Bush puts the kibosh on Ahmadinejad, the Iranians respond in kind—next week’s UN Resolution to implement sanctions on Iran (mostly symbolic) are meant to put the Iranians on notice that the US will NOT tolerate competition in the Middle East from an upstart bunch of terrorists (which Iran calls Israel and the USA—whereas Israel and the USA call Iran terrorists).

To prove the point that things are ratcheting up—and this is on-going . . . the USA and India are on high alert after massive joint-naval exercises in the Indian Ocean:

“Hundreds of US and allied war ships foregathered in the strategic seas of the Middle East and India in the last days of October 2006 for two primary missions: To prepare for a US-led military strike against Iran which has stepped up its uranium enrichment program with a second centrifuge project - undeterred by the prospect of UN sanctions; and measures to fend off palpable al Qaeda threats to oil targets.” (Debka, October 30, 2006)

From time to time Debka’s “Files” are a bit skewed (to say the least); however, consider this not so off the wall observation, to wit:

“The Iranians suspect that at the end of the joint US-Indian exercise in the Arabian Sea, the USS Boxer will veer west and head into the Persian Gulf (Nov. 5, 2006). There would then be four US air carriers with task forces parked opposite Iranian shores, including the USS Enterprise Strike Group, the USS Iwo Jima Expeditionary Strike Group and the USS Eisenhower Carrier Strike Force.

“According to the intelligence reaching Iran, the Boxer and its escorts carry 850 Marines who have just spent months in special training for operations on offshore oil rigs and platforms.

“America, Italy, France, Britain, Australia, Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait are taking part in an exercise practicing the interception of ships carrying nuclear materials or components for use in advanced weapons.”

Once one comprehends the military magnitude of but one US Aircraft Carrier Battle Group—let alone four—it seizes upon one’s imagination just how massive this military build up really is!

Preparations for this massive build-up of “allied forces” in the Persian Gulf (now approaching sixty days in the making) has not gone unnoticed by former retired Air Force Col. Sam Gardiner who has taught military strategy at the National War College:

“‘I think the plan’s been picked: bomb the nuclear sites in Iran,’ says Gardiner. ‘It’s a terrible idea, it’s against US law and it’s against international law, but I think they’ve decided to do it.’ Gardiner says that while the United States has the capability to hit those sites with its cruise missiles, ‘the Iranians have many more options than we do: They can activate Hezbollah; they can organize riots all over the Islamic world, including Pakistan, which could bring down the Musharraf government, putting nuclear weapons into terrorist hands; they can encourage the Shia militias in Iraq to attack US troops; they can blow up oil pipelines and shut the Persian Gulf.’ Most of the major oil-producing states in the Middle East have substantial Shiite populations, which has long been a concern of their own Sunni leaders and of Washington policy-makers, given the sometimes close connection of Shiite populations to Iran's religious rulers.” (War Signals, Dave Lindorff, The Nation, September 21, 2006)

TIME IS ON OUR SIDE – Ahmadinejad

Today – November 15, 2006, Presidents Bush and Russia’s Putin met to discuss the “ways and means” to meet in the middle allegedly to halt Iran’s nuclear ambitions—but, time is running out—real fast.  Today, as well, Iran simply shrugged off the “old story” that the U.N. found “new traces of enriched uranium and plutonium” at a waste dump.  President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is wagering that the West will simply implode in the current stalemate (because China and Russia are trading in umpteen billions with the Iranians as we speak).  Ultimately, the West will have to live with an Iranian nuclear power, especially since the Democrats have taken over Congress!

“While the West tries to thwart the progress of our nation, time is on our side . . . they would have to take one step back with every passing day and approve the right of the Iranian people.” (Iran dismisses U.N. report on uranium, Nasser Karimi, AP, Nov. 15, 2006)

But, let’s hear from his mouth the infamous “nuclearization” remark:

“‘I hope we can have our celebration of Iran’s full nuclearization this year,’ Mr. Ahmadinejad said during a news conference in Tehran, apparently referring to a program that could do everything from extracting uranium ore from the ground to enriching it into reactor fuel. Iran’s calendar ends in March (2007).” (Iran’s Leader Cites Nuclear Progress, William J. Broad and Nazila Fathi, New York Times, November 15, 2006)

Yes, the devil is in the details . . . and those details do not include any discussions between Iran and the USA:

“‘He said Iran was willing to hold talks with the United States if it changed its attitude. ‘We want to have good relations with all countries, but they (the USA) have a certain attitude and think they own the world,’ he said. ‘Our people cannot tolerate that.’” (Ibid.)

So what does it take to make a bunch of nuclear bombs?

“So far, Iran has built two cascades of 164 centrifuges for uranium enrichment — the process of purification used to make nuclear reactor fuel and, at great purity, the core of an atom bomb. It has announced that it wants to have 3,000 centrifuges operating by March 2007.

“Nuclear experts have estimated that it could take a plant of 3,000 centrifuges as little as nine months to make 55 pounds of highly enriched uranium — enough for anywhere from one to five small nuclear weapons, depending on the skill of the bomb makers.” (Ibid.)

MUQTADA AL-SADR’s BRIGADES ARISE!

So-called “experts” (and there have been scores of them for the past 13-years—I’ve been hearing from “intelligence sources” that Iran was within six months in having a nuclear bomb since 1993).  They now claim that Iran’s within three to nine years in having an atomic bomb.  However, it is nigh impossible for the sober minded to conclude that in the modern era of technology and the rapacious nature in which the transference of high-tech knowledge occurs, that these “experts” have absolutely no clue to Iran’s capabilities—especially, since Ahmadinejad is hell-bent on bringing forth the 12th Imam as the Messiah of Islam, along with the defeat of the Jewish Antichrist, the Dajil (or ad-Dajjal).

And, just in case you’re not aware of America’s little Shiite problem in Iraq and how it’s connected to the coming of the 12th Imam, think no further:

“Hujjat al-Islam Muktada al-Sadr says that the Mahdi would soon return, in Iraq. This rumor, touching the core of Shi'i (Shiite) faith and eschatology, is being spread by Sadr’s preachers. In the Shia tradition, the Mahdi is the 12th Imam, who is in occultation. Muktada al-Sadr says the Americans were aware of the impending reappearance, and that the Americans invaded Iraq to seize and kill the Mahdi. His supporters chant Sadr's name at rallies to imply that he is the ‘son of the Mahdi.’ Sadr has stated that the army ‘belongs to the Mahdi’ as an explanation of why he cannot disband it, as has been required of other private militias.” (Al-Mahdi Army / Active Religious Seminary / Al-Sadr's Group, Military, GlobalSecurity.org, site maintained by John Pike)

Although we have covered this in the past in some of our tomes, a brief review of Islamic eschatology by another author would do us all well to understand how contemporary is this eschatology in the midst of al-Sadr’s current activities in Iraq, as well as those welcoming gestures confirmed by Iran’s leadership:

“The Mahdi prepares the way for the second coming of the Prophet Isa (Jesus) and the impending end of the world. Eventually the awaited Imam will appear, and the Divine Aim will reach its fulfillment. The Qur'an explicitly declares the return of Jesus to earth. Surah Al ‘Imran 55 is one of the verses indicating that Jesus will come back. But in many verses of the Qur'an Allah states that those having faith in the trinity certainly are disbelievers: Those who say that the Messiah, son of Maryam, is the third of three are disbelievers. There is no god but One God. (Surat al-Ma’idah: 73). (Ibid.)

Jews, Christians, and Muslims are all involved in the final fray . . .

“In anticipation of Judgment Day, it was essential that the people return to a simple and rigorous, even puritanical Islam. The Islamic belief in the second coming of Christ is the creed of Sunni and Shiite Islam in its generality. For Muslims, there is no question about the forthcoming Armageddon, following which war technology shall become unusable. The Mahdi will defeat the remaining third of the Jews (the other two thirds having already perished at Armageddon). This will be followed by a Christian vs. Muslim war, called al-Malhama al-Kubra ("Great Slaughter of the Intercessor" i.e., the Prophet) in Muslim texts.” (Ibid.)

Turns out—Jesus converts all to Islam!

“When the Mahdi's Army receives word of the Antichrist, they will go to fight the Antichrist, but he will besiege them in Jerusalem. Jesus will descend, and perform the dawn prayer behind the Mahdi, then Jesus will go out and kill the Antichrist. After that, he will take over the Caliphate. Upon the return of Jesus, he will not accept that Christians and Jews live with any other religion than Islam, and so will unite all the believers as Muslims.” (Ibid.)

OPTIONS ANYONE?

In so far as “time is on our side” – folks like John Murtha (now on the outs with Blue Dog Dems), along with scores of other intelligence experts like Richard Clarke, are going to let the Iranians do whatever, whenever, however and wherever they wish when it comes to nuclear aspirations—because we can’t do a blasted thing about it!  And, if John Murtha has anything to say about it, he can say it outside the Democratic leadership clique—wonder why?

“Murtha allies conceded that he managed to undermine his own campaign, particularly when he told a gathering of conservative Democrats on Tuesday night that Pelosi’s ethics package was ‘total crap.’” (Democrats Pick Hoyer Over Murtha House Colleagues Elect Pelosi Speaker but Reject Her Choice for Majority Leader, By Jonathan Weisman and Lois Romano, Washington Post Staff Writers, Friday, November 17, 2006; Page A01)

But first, former counterterrorist Chief Richard Clarke . . .

“We’ve thought about military options against Iran off and on for the last 20 years, and they’re just not good, because you don’t know what the end game is. You know what the first move of the game is, but you don’t know what the last move of the game is. … I don’t think there’s any doubt that the intelligence community and the defense department believe Iran would respond with terrorism. … So they would respond if we hit them militarily, if that was the first move. The second move would them striking back with terrorism, including in the United States. And then what’s the third move? What’s the end of that process?” [ABC’s Good Morning America, 4/3/06]

Next, the colorful ex-Marine, ex-No. 2, Murtha, currently dishonored by his own (and don’t think for one minute he’ll forget it):

“There’s no way [President Bush is] going to take military action in Iran. Iran is, is three times as big geographically, there’s 58 million people vs. 26 million people in, in Iraq, and, and there’s no way. A fanatical government — I mean, the, the president of the United States does not have a military option. He can say he has a military option; he does not have a military option.” [3/19/06]

And, finally, our own C.I.A. –

“‘The U.S. capability to make a mess of Iran’s nuclear infrastructure is formidable,’ says veteran Mideast analyst Geoffrey Kemp. ‘The question is, what then?’ NEWSWEEK has learned that the CIA and DIA have war-gamed the likely consequences of a U.S. pre-emptive strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities. No one liked the outcome. As an Air Force source tells it, ‘The war games were unsuccessful at preventing the conflict from escalating.‘” [9/27/04] (Note:  These three quotes taken from thinkprogress.org.)

SYRIA: CONDUIT OF ARMS TO HEZBOLLAH

Yes, options are sparse these days—but armaments from Syria into Lebanon are not!  Let’s cut to the chase here—listen to the voice of the common man in Lebanon . . .

“Fifty-three year old electrician Hassan Taha, a strident Hezbollah supporter who lives opposite one of the areas the Israeli Air Force bombed last summer - a crater marks where a school, supermarket and hotel once stood - was emphatic . . .  ‘Of course weapons are coming from the border,’ he said. ‘Everybody here knows that. They’re coming from both Iran and Syria and also China and Russia. We need the weapons. We are ready now if Israel strikes us’” (Lebanese confirm flow of arms to Hezbollah from Syria, By Jacey Herman – Jerusalem Post, Baalbeck, Northern Lebanon, Nov. 17, 2006)

And, as weapons come cascading down from Mt. Hermon—Hamas and Israel in Gaza are just about ready to break into total war!

“JERUSALEM  —  Israel promised a punishing response to a deadly Palestinian rocket attack Wednesday near the home of the country's defense minister.

“The rocket — one of at least eight that struck Israel during the day — killed a 57-year-old woman walking to the grocery store in the Israeli town of Sderot near the Gaza border and raised the specter of a large-scale offensive against militant rocket squads.

“Militants affiliated with the Palestinians' ruling Hamas group and Islamic Jihad both claimed responsibility for the fatal Sderot attack, calling it retaliation for 19 civilians killed by Israeli shelling last week in the Gaza town of Beit Hanoun.” (Israel Promises Punishing Response to Gaza Rocket Fire, Associated Press, Thursday, November 16, 2006)

THEOLOGICAL IMPLICATIONS

The Prophetic Sequence Part XIII is more of an update than anything else—but a harbinger of impending disaster, this most definitely is!

The assumption by radical Islamofascists (including the so-called “Axis of Evil” – Syria and Iran) that the USA’s going to roll over and play dead and/or have the likes of Nancy Pelosi and John Murtha alter the current Iraqi policy is utter absurdity—the first shot at the Democrats on matters of this magnitude were self-inflicted:  Pelosi’s beloved anti-war critic, John Murtha, was defeated, while the U.S. commander in the Middle East, General John Abizaid, argued before resurgent Democrats this week that pulling American troops out on a time table would cause sectarian violence on a scale heretofore unimaginable.  Within four to six months things would spiral completely out of control . . .

“‘Our troop posture needs to stay where it is,’ and the use of military adviser teams embedded with Iraqi army and police forces needs to be expanded, Abizaid told the Senate Armed Services Committee.” (U.S. general says early pullout not an option, By ROBERT BURNS, Associated Press, November 16, 2006, Washington)

The next major conflagration will be inspired by a military exchange involving Israel, the Palestinian Authority (“Gaza” (Zechariah 9:5-7) and “the stronghold of Ephraim”—Isaiah 17:3); Lebanon (Tyre and Sidon—Zechariah 9:2) and, especially Syria (Hadrach, Damascus, and Hamath—Zechariah 9:1-2a).

This, we (and, inadvertently, Israel’s Deputy Prime Minister, Shimon Peres) have entitled the SEVENTH WAR spoken of in the book of Daniel as the “end of the war” (Daniel 9:26b) or the Syrophoenicia War.  This was covered extensively in this series (Part VI, The Prophetic Sequence:  Three Wars – One Peace Treaty; also, Part I, Part II, Part III, and Part IV).

Syria’s complicity in the midst of all this is all the more intriguing given the most absurd orchestrations now under way by the likes of America’s evangelical leadership who have proposed sundry “peace solutions” which would somehow be in keeping with the “prophetic Scriptures.”  To embark upon these prophetic postulations is an exercise in eschatological effrontery—doing disservice to the infallibility of God’s Word!

PAT ROBERTSON AND RICK WARREN’S “PEACE STRATEGIES”

Several evenings ago I chanced upon the “700 Club” and observed the Rev. Pat Robertson’s vindications that he had been correct in his earlier televised assumptions that America’s invasion of Iraq would result in a quagmire—several flashbacks were seen and oddly enough, Pat came out looking like a contemporary prophet.  So, with that background, he launched into his “Biblically-based” solution to the Middle East crisis . . . listen to his prophetic profundities:

“Now how about this as a solution?  … Why not, if George Bush wants to get clever, why not go to the Syrians and say ‘OK, Mr. Assad, we’re going to work out a merger between Syria and Iraq. The only requirement is that you make peace down here with Israel, that you get your hands off Lebanon, don’t try to interfere in the affairs of Lebanon.  And in the process, you’re going to have access to these huge oil fields in the north and in the south [of Iraq].  And to the Iraqis, you’re going to have a port on the Mediterranean that you don’t have, and you will have a big territory … This could isolate Iran…[Syria] is a more secular regime, which is what they need over here [in Iraq], they don’t need these religious strife.   Now that could be created - you go to Syria, you talk to these people and say ‘we want to see a merger here.’ It would be a win-win for all sides.  It would also be in accordance with the Bible."

Robertson postulated: “Iraq is not a prize we want to hold on to.” Brother Pat says that his plan provides a way out of the current quagmire and is as good as any other plan “out there.”  And, it’ll work as long as everyone makes peace with Israel.  Finally, Robertson concludes his televised strategic presentation by saying that if President Bush were to follow his plan, “he’d be in accordance with what the Bible says and God would bless it.”  (Ref. Pat Robertson’s Bible-Based Foreign Policy Expertise, November 15, 2006, Right Wing Watch-please view video of it at the above hyperlinked site).

Well, by this time I was somewhat flabbergasted—especially as Pat, with pointer in hand, like a military analyst, commenced to point out how Syria and Northern Iraq could be merged, along with Lebanon, into a “Greater Assyria.”  What a sight it was!

But Pat wasn’t the only evangelical leader pursuing the “Syrian Card” – mega-church mogul and purpose-driven Rick Warren sashayed into Damascus and . . . well, here’s what the right thinks of Rick’s little visit:

“Purpose-Driven Terrorism -- Mega-church Pastor Visits Syria And Promises To Repeat Its Propaganda.

“Syria's state-controlled media is lavishingly boasting that California mega-church pastor Rick Warren, during his visit in Damascus, has endorsed the Syrian perspective on the Middle East. Not only that, Warren has reportedly promised to carry that state sponsor of terrorism's propaganda message back to the U.S.

“The naive Warren has somehow overlooked the ‘800 pound gorilla in the room’ matters of SANA, about Syria’s one-party police state, its political prisoners, its chambers of torture, its support for Hezbollah terrorism in Lebanon, and its continued devotion to the destruction of Israel.” (Hyscience, November 15, 2006)

Now, if that doesn’t sway you – take a look at the graphic – undoubtedly doing the Lord’s work in Syria demands conciliation at a very high level.  Warren and the Grand Mufti of Damascus discuss matters of peace and friendship.

Syria’s government-controlled news agency, SANA, announced the “good needs” and conciliation being spread by Pastor Warren, to wit:

·        “Pastor Warren hailed the religious coexistence, tolerance and stability that the Syrian society is enjoying due to the wise leadership of President al-Assad, asserting that he will convey the true image about Syria to the American people.”

·        “Syria wants peace, and Muslims and Christians live in this country jointly and peacefully since more than a thousand years, and this is not new for Syria.”

·        Warren told Syria's Islamic grand mufti there could be no peace in the region without Syria and 80 percent of Americans reject the U.S. administration's policies and actions in Iraq. (TESTING THE FAITH
Mega pastor Rick Warren blasts Iraq war, praises Syria Official state news report quotes 'Purpose-Driven' author criticizing U.S.
, November 15, 2006, WorldNetDaily.com)

It’s just about all we can handle for now—Syria must be ecstatic over the Robertson-Warren Axis of Evangelicals who’ve come to their aid “at such a time as this!”

Warren’s turning into a Jesse Jackson-style Ambassador of Goodwill to the Axis of Evil cabal (Note:  Warren’s trip to North Korea was post-phoned; nevertheless, “please keep talking” to your foes is his plea!)—to be sure, Neville Chamberlain thought the same about Herr Hitler.  “Peace in our time” is nothing new . . . but, please take note—it is the religious leadership of these United States of America that are in the forefront of such activities!

Apostasy and Deception are not something that are overt in their guise—their bewitching powers overwhelm the simple of heart and propel the seeker-friendly aspirant to heights of fancy in the befriending of all things ecumenical.

Is there any wonder to it all—this past week I visited with a dear pastor friend of mine who despaired that within the environs of Sacramento, a metropolitan area nigh 1.5 million souls, that hardly one evangelical congregation places any merit upon the prophetic Scriptures (aside from an estranged Pentecostal sect in one of the less desirable areas of the city).  To the contrary—a beloved pastor friend of his—and a graduate from Dallas Theological Seminary, affirms that the coming of the Lord could be some 400-years into the future and that to ascribe credibility to the prophetic Word is but fanciful absurdity, having little impact upon the real world in which the average American lives . . . it doesn’t pay the bills nor give empowerment to the believer, so who needs it and who cares!  Squabbling over inane eschatologies is nonsense—it doesn’t change your life and never has!  Furthermore, as David Hocking once said in Sacramento prior to his own “fall from grace” – “I’m a ‘pantribulationist’ – it’ll all pan out in the end!”

No wonder then, with such a carefree attitude amongst believers—there abides little if any urgency to “redeem the time, for the days are evil” or, for that matter, who cares if a thief is about to come into your home . . . no need to prepare, it’ll happen in any event!

Thus, the folly of Brother Warren is encouraged—another “man of peace” reaches out to the Moslem World . . . and, oddly enough, a man who claims prophetic relevance, Pat Robertson, concocts one of the most bizarre notions of including Northern Iraq into modern-day Syria so that “Assyria” can have a highway through Israel into Egypt and fulfill Isaiah’s forecast.

Mind you—Robertson disclaims any involvement of Egypt in the Gog-Magog War “because it’s not mentioned in Ezekiel 38-39.”  One might suggest that Brother Pat consider reading Daniel 11 to find that Egypt is intimately involved in Gog-Magog!  (Daniel 11:42-43).

CONCLUSIONS

Iran’s determination to “wipe Israel off the map” and Israel’s remembrance of Haman, the Persian of yesteryear, who sought to “annihilate the Jews”—and Haman’s reflections in both Hitler and Ahmadinejad, are so stark that to contemplate Israel’s justified concerns as over reactive is nonsensical to the extreme.  Who needs parallels when those calling for your disappearance suggest the Jewish Holocaust is a Zionist contrivance!

The sad commentary to all this is the usurpation of the Man of Sin behind it all—playing the hand of the deliverer and the Man of Peace to a nation who so longs for that peace:  Israel.

As promised—in our next tome—we will surpass the Covenant with Death and Hell and enter into the empowering realm of the Two Witnesses of Revelation 11, and I hasten to add, Daniel 12.

“Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.  And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold” (Matthew 24:11-12).

“But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them (BY THE BLOODLY CROSS OF OUR LORD JESUS—my emphasis), and bring on themselves swift destruction.  And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed.  By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long tie their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber” (II Peter 2:1-3).

And to this we admonish and examine ourselves as well:

“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because MANY FALSE PROPHETS have gone out into the world” (I John 4:1).
