POLITICS & TRIUMPHAL CHRISTIANITY
Well, after the billions spent on this year’s American elections and the alleged charges and counter charges by the major parties (and the also-rans), and the “this is the most crucial year ever”—as the pall of Islamic terrorism saturates the rhetoric of the candidates—you, if you’re a Christian, may wonder just what on earth is going on with God’s “heavenly people” in this quadrennial quagmire?
Wait a minute: You say that we as believers have an “obligation” to vote for our representative-style government and to elect people, who at least hold to “moral scruples”— after all, didn’t Christians play a primary role in the formation of this experiment? Our first Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, John Jay, once enshrined the concept that “a Christian nation” should “select and prefer Christians for their rulers” (and that’s for starters).
Friend, let me, as they say, cut to the quick here: If you want to know what the inheritors of Jay’s “benign comments” of this “Christian State” concept are thinking today, well, let me disabuse you of the thought that somehow he and his followers have folded their tents and have stolen away into the secular night of the modern era!

Now, it’s nice of you to contemplate that this outburst is but an isolated rant by some “religious right-wing coot”—a sort of harmless crackpot who’s lucky he still has “freedom of speech” to postulates his prattling against the evil out there! But, for all their egg-head “Moral Law” utopian Kingdom Now pontifications—these people have totally “had it” with the Left in this country, and fully intend to “restructure” society as they see it● (and, that’s a huge “period” by the way).
Christian Reconstructionism, Kingdom Now, Replacement Theology, Extreme Reform and Covenantal Theology, Dominionism, and a host of other bedfellows amongst today American Christian activists—under girded by today’s “Apostles and Prophets” and traditionalists—are far more inclined to “make it happen” than you have any idea. Triumphal Christianity is not an option!
Last night my wife came home from a “Crisis Pregnancy Center” fund raiser. Among other things, the guest speaker informed the audience that one out of five Nazi Storm Troopers during Hitler’s reign of terror was an ardent and professing Christian. No surprise, I covered this in my article on Hitler’s Positive Christianity. But, what most American Christian either fail to realize, or refuse to grasp, is just how entrenched Christianity was in the building of the Nazi State—oh, well, that was then, this is now.
Listen, and some of you out there are going to get sideways because we’re “getting negative” again—the final and awful picture given in the Bible of apostasy is the “Mother of Harlots and Abominations of the Earth” riding atop the secular state in all her infamous and hideous religiosity and commercial mixture: Dripping with the BLOOD OF THE SAINTS—I hasten to add, while all the while providing MORAL COVERING for the beastly empire, who (for a time before it turns on her) SUPPORTS her fine efforts—and there’s nearly 2,000 years of history to validate this horrid relationship Revelation 17-18.
So, while you’re trying to change your school board—remember the words of our Lord, after Peter whacked off the ear of one of the religious guards who were apprehending Him: (Peter) put away your sword . . . My kingdom is NOT of this world; for if it were of this world, then would my servants fight, but My Kingdom comes not from hence! (John 18:36).
And, while you’re at it, remember, the guy who played a MAJOR role in writing some of the most intrusive elements of the Patriot Act where your local banker becomes a spy for the government (Senate § 398), John Kerry; and then check out tons of left-wing “stuff” on Bush who can’t wait to insure you of every “right” you thought you had . . . and then cast your vote for Jesus (He’s your last best hope for humanity in any event!).
