CORPTOCRACY OR NATIONAL SOCIALISM

The Rise or Fall of American Empire?

Chapter 13

Part 2

“President Franklin Roosevelt's Alien Property Custodian, Leo T. Crowley, signed Vesting Order Number 248 seizing the property of Prescott Bush under the Trading with the Enemy Act. The order, published in obscure government record books and kept out of the news, explained nothing about the Nazis involved; only that the Union Banking Corporation was run for the ‘Thyssen family’ of ‘Germany and/or Hungary’ --  ‘nationals ... of a designated enemy country.’

“By deciding that Prescott Bush and the other directors of the Union Banking Corp. were legally front men for the Nazis, the government avoided the more important historical issue: In what way were Hitler’s Nazis themselves hired, armed and instructed by the New York and London clique of which Prescott Bush was an executive manager? Let us examine the Harriman-Bush Hitler project from the 1920s until it was partially broken up, to seek an answer for that question.

“How important was the Nazi enterprise for which President Bush's father was the New York banker?

“The 1942 U.S. government investigative report said that Bush’s Nazi-front bank was an interlocking concern with the Vereinigte Stahlwerke (United Steel Works Corporation or German Steel Trust) led by Fritz Thyssen and his two brothers. After the war, Congressional investigators probed the Thyssen interests, Union Banking Corp. and related Nazi units. The investigation showed that the Vereinigte Stahlwerke had produced the following approximate proportions of total German national output:

50.8% of Nazi Germany's pig iron
41.4% of Nazi Germany's universal plate
36.0% of Nazi Germany's heavy plate
38.5% of Nazi Germany's galvanized sheet
45.5% of Nazi Germany's pipes and tubes
22.1% of Nazi Germany's wire
35.0% of Nazi Germany's explosives.

(Ibid.)

…In spite of these nefarious financial dealings, Prescott managed to accomplish the following:

“In 1952, he was elected to the Senate (Connecticut), defeating Abraham Ribicoff for the seat vacated by the death of James O'Brien McMahon. A staunch supporter of President Dwight D. Eisenhower, Bush served until January 1963. He was reelected in 1956 with 55 percent of the vote over Democrat Thomas J. Dodd (later U.S. Senator from Connecticut and father of the current U.S. Senator from Connecticut, Christopher J. Dodd), and decided not to run for another term in 1962. He was a key ally for the passage of Eisenhower's Interstate Highway System.[3], and during his tenure supported the Polaris submarine project (ships which were built by Electric Boat Corporation in Groton, Connecticut), civil rights legislation, and the establishment of the Peace Corps.[4]  (Wikipedia)

Prescott, however, distinguished himself (negatively) by solidarity with his Nazi financiers.  Then too, like American flying hero Charles Lindbergh, Prescott spoke out in deeds like a card-carrying member of the Nazi Party.  The whole fiasco regarding the 1933 attempt to “Nazify” the American political landscape provides but a glimpse as to how close America came to embracing a National Socialist form of government—a form of government very much in keeping with the traditional form of the State and Industry merging interests and perpetuating the success of one another.

SO – WHAT IS NATIONAL SOCIALISM?

The communists – who were wholly at odds with the Nazi (National Socialist Workers Party) ideology in pre-WW II Germany put it like this:

“In 1935, as fascist political movements were making gains across Europe, they often took violent action against communist organizations; therefore, it became important for Marxists to have an exact definition of ‘fascism’ in order to determine precisely who they were fighting. Thus, the Communist Third International published the following definition:

“‘Fascism in power is the open, terrorist dictatorship of the most reactionary, the most chauvinistic, the most imperialistic elements of finance capitalism.’

“The majority of Marxists, even those who were not members of the Communist International, agreed with this definition.  Marxists argue that fascism represents the last attempt of a ruling class (specifically, the capitalist bourgeoisie) to preserve its grip on power in the face of an imminent proletarian revolution. Fascist movements are not necessarily created by the ruling class, but they can only gain political power with the help of that class and with funding from big business. And, once in power, fascists serve the interests of their benefactors (not necessarily the interests of capitalism in general, but the interests of those specific capitalists who put them in power). Leon Trotsky elaborated on this view in his collection of essays, ‘Fascism: What it is and how to fight it’:

“The historic function of fascism is to smash the working class, destroy its organizations, and stifle political liberties when the capitalists find themselves unable to govern and dominate with the help of democratic machinery.

“Many Marxists are strongly opposed to labeling of governments that were elected from traditional conservative parties without ‘street movements’ backing them up as fascists. The vast majority therefore reject the characterization of the US government as fascist.” (Why do they always drag out the Fascist Moniker? – Moorewatch Forums)

The fascist dictator Benito Mussolini’s definition of Fascism/National Socialism deserves careful observation:

“In an article in the 1932 Encyclopedia Italiana, written by Giovanni Gentile and attributed to Benito Mussolini, fascism is described as a system in which ‘The State not only is the authority which governs and molds individual wills with laws and values of spiritual life, but it is also (the) power which makes its will prevail abroad.... For the Fascist, everything is within the State and... neither individuals nor groups are outside the State.... For Fascism, the State is an absolute, before which individuals or groups are only relative....’

“Mussolini, in a speech delivered on October 28, 1925, stated the following maxim that encapsulates the fascist philosophy: ‘Tutto nello Stato, niente al di fuori dello Stato, nulla contro lo Stato.’ (‘Everything in the State, nothing outside the State, nothing against the State.’) Therefore, he reasoned, all individual business is the state’s business, and the state’s existence is the sole duty of the individual.

“Besides totalitarianism, a key distinguishing feature of fascism is that it uses a rightist mass movement to attack the organizations of the working class: parties of the left and trade unions. This strategy is variously called Corporatism, Corporativism, or the Corporative State [2], all terms that refer to state action to partner with key business leaders, often in ways chosen to minimize the power of labor unions. Mussolini, for example, capitalized on fear of an imminent Socialist revolution [3], finding ways to unite Labor and Capital, to Labor's ultimate detriment. In 1926 he created the National Council of Corporations, divided into guilds of employers and employees, tasked with managing 22 sectors of the economy. The guilds subsumed both labor unions and management, but were heavily weighted in favor of the corporations and their owners. The moneyed classes in return helped him change the country's laws to raise his stature from a coalition leader to a supreme commander. The movement was supported by small capitalists, low-level bureaucrats, and the middle classes, who had all felt threatened by the rise in power of the Socialists. Fascism also met with great success in rural areas, especially among farmers, peasants, and in the city, the lumpenproletariat.” (Fascism, Third World Traveler – Taken from Wikipedia)

Yes, race and struggle are embedded in Fascism, National Socialism; however, the STATE – the NATION – when once subsumed by its mixture of Corporatism wherein the engines of economic production and services are tied to the policies of the State—then, said in a most revealing manner:  BEWARE OF THE MILITARY-INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX . . . a complex which combines industry with the dictates of militarism and visa-versa, becomes the witch’s brew.  Here the general populous finds more and more of its employment predicated upon the “national policy” of the State and its military extensions.

Inadvertently, President Roosevelt commenced to fight the fire of Nazism with the fire of American National Production – which, taken in sum, was National Socialism in the guise of Americanism or, better said:  Freedom and Democracy’s War against tyrannical National Socialism.  Roosevelt’s New Deal was, in point of glaring fact, subsumed by the very thing which he was fighting!

Demobilization of this Frankenstein monster grew into Eisenhower’s warning – and it continues to grow evermore in spite of all the rhetoric to the contrary.  In our earlier articles we’ve covered this extensively.

SUE OPEC – THE CONVERGENCE OF CONSUMERS AND CORPORATIONS

The propensity for American Empire elongates – wrapping its world-wide tentacles around more and more of the world’s collective wealth and services.  If that engine of consumption is threatened in any way—America’s “collective might” will rise up to defend herself in the name of righteous freedom and liberty.  We, for example, will not allow OPEC (the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries) to dictate their price for oil to us.  Even now, the US Congress prepares to SUE OPEC:

“The House of Representatives overwhelmingly approved legislation on Tuesday allowing the Justice Department to sue OPEC members for limiting oil supplies and working together to set crude prices, but the White House threatened to veto the measure.

“The bill would subject OPEC oil producers, including Saudi Arabia, Iran and Venezuela, to the same antitrust laws that U.S. companies must follow.  The measure passed in a 324-84 vote, a big enough margin to override a presidential veto.

“The legislation also creates a Justice Department task force to aggressively investigate gasoline price gouging and energy market manipulation.

“‘This bill guarantees that oil prices will reflect supply and demand economic rules, instead of wildly speculative and perhaps illegal activities,’ said Democratic Rep. Steve Kagen of Wisconsin, who sponsored the legislation.

“The lawmaker said Americans ‘are at the mercy’ of OPEC for how much they pay for gasoline, which this week hit a record average of $3.79 a gallon.

“The White House opposes the bill, saying that targeting OPEC investment in the United States as a source for damage awards ‘would likely spur retaliatory action against American interests in those countries and lead to a reduction in oil available to U.S. refiners.’

“The administration said less oil going to refineries would limit available gasoline supplies and raise fuel prices.

‘Foreign investment in U.S. oil infrastructure has declined in the last decade. But the state-owned oil companies of several OPEC nations are owners of U.S. refineries, and those investments could be affected if the legislation becomes law,’ said Arlington, Virginia-based FBR Capital Markets Corp.” (WASHINGTON (Reuters))

THE FINAL STATE OF AFFAIRS

The great expositor, Donald Grey Barnhouse, prophetically denounced the FINAL STATE OF AFFAIRS – AFFAIRS which the likes of Prescott Bush, Henry Ford, Averill Harriman and those who have made their fortunes off the bodies and souls of men (wherein the fortunes of the Bush Family are altogether highly suspect – wherefore the outrage of the Jews to Bush’s speech to the Israeli Knesset) shall culminate at the end of days:

“The fifth chapter (in the Epistle of James) begins, ‘Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you.  Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth eaten.  Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire.  Ye have heaped treasure together FOR THE LAST DAYS.  Behold, the hire of the laborers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth:  and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth.  Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; ye have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter.  Ye have condemned and killed the just; and he doth not resist you’ (James 5:1-6).” (Revelation – An Expositional Commentary, Donald Grey Barnhouse, pp. 339-40)

Now, Barnhouse uses the term “capitalism” – however, capitalism without corporatism is virtually non-existent; therefore, the force of his utterance deserves greater impact as we read on . . .

“Because of this passage and what we believe is its relationship to the destruction of commercial Babylon (found in Rev. 18:4-19), we are firmly convinced that the Bible teaches that capitalism will endure in the lands of the west, where the Roman empire is to be revived, until the very time of the end (and its revival is the greatest in the USA).  Those Christians, therefore, who spend their time hunting “reds” (Note:  This was written at the HEIGHT of the Cold War.) and looking for the rise of Communism in our lands, are merely howling into the wind.  The tendencies which they see undoubtedly exist, but we know that they will not come to fruition, for the RICH ARE TO BE RICHER (My emphasis.), and are to exploit the laborers, and are to gather their riches together for the last days.  It is then that they will be destroyed, and that most suddenly.” (Ibid. p. 340)

Barnhouse’s prophetic insights are so profound, that to dismiss them as the ranting of a “Fightin’ Fundie” only exposes one’s superficial understanding of the times past and immediate present which bear proof of their accuracy:

“We have seen how all business and commerce was destroyed in Russia in a few brief months.  The prophecy that we are considering would seem to indicate that commercialism, industrialism, capitalism (sounds like an amalgamation of the infamous Military-Industrial Complex), all that is characterized by the city, Babylon, will be destroyed in one sudden stroke.  Whether this takes place by a real earthquake, or by a shaking of the common people makes no difference.  The language covers both.  The earthquake, followed by fire, could be the destruction of a literal London or New York, or a rebuilt Babylon for that mater, or it could be the sudden rise of the masses in a great shaking that would be followed by the fires of anarchy.  At all events, the one who sits with all the glory of a queen, enthroned, shall receive her plagues ‘in one hour’ (vss. 10, 19).  In direct defiance of the Word which says she shall come to sorrow, she proclaims that she will see no sorrow.  It is the same old word that was spoken in Eden, ‘Ye shall not surely die’ (Gen. 3:4). (Ibid. 340)

And, with Babylon’s destruction – Barnhouse concludes:

“Naturally, with the destruction of commercialism will go the kings of the earth who have maintained their power by maintaining the power of the rulers of money.  They will have cause to say, ‘Alas, alas.’  And the merchants will have every cause to weep and mourn, for their days of profiting are over (so much for the Bush Financial Empire et al).  It should be understood that this picture is of the future, and we should never try to advance a radicalism that would seek to destroy commercialism before God’s time (although we in the USA as the world’s foremost debtor nation seem to be inflicting our own demise).  For liberalism’s attempt to destroy capitalism is Satan fighting against Satan.  God will use this divided power of the enemy to bring him down at last, but in the meantime, we are told, ‘Be patient, therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord’ (James 5:7).

“It is very interesting to note the UNION OF THE MERCHANTS AND THE KINGS IN THE WAILING OVER THE DESTRUCTION OF BABYLONIn ancient times, government and business were not united as they are now.  Kings ruled apart from the ‘bourgeois’ who carried on the business of the world.  Business began to move into government at the time of the French Revolution and the upheaval in industry that followed the invention of the steam engine and the growth of modern commerce, put the merchants into the government as never before, where they stand, today, alongside the politicians, and with COMMON INTERESTS.” (Ibid. pp. 340-41).

If Barnhouse could be alive today—oh, I tell you, the pig skin would peal off the ball, as the velocity of his projectile would exceed all imagination.  But Barnhouse adds one more impression which eerily bespeaks of all the aforesaid remarks of those who have grown rich off the “bodies and souls” of men:

“Most significantly this remarkable list of the wares of the great Babylon ends with the ‘bodies and souls of men.’  The word translated slaves is literally bodies.  For here is where men and women barter their bodies and souls for some trifle, something that at best can afford but a momentary satisfaction.  Here is where the multitude of the Esaues of our day exchange their birthright for a mere mess of pottage.  How pertinent and how impressive in this connection are the words of the Lord Jesus Christ, ‘For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul? . . . For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father, with his angels, and then he shall reward every man according to his works’ (Matt. 16:26-27).  Those who make the shrewdest bargains in the markets of the great city, who get the greatest return in exchange for their souls, must part forever with what they receive, and be loser for eternity, when Christ shall come.” (Ibid. 341)

The END OF THE MATTER bodes ill for the Merchants of the Earth – indeed it does.  The Scriptures are uncompromised on the final condition of things—things which perish with the earthlings who have found in them their temporal reward.

We in America have reached the perfect storm where the convergence of the State’s agenda is – through massive lobbying and the subsequent disenfranchisement of her electorate – subverted by the whim, aggrandizement and even avaricious, financial appetites of its corporate executives.  Witness, if you would, today’s oil tycoons and their taunting attitudes toward the U.S. Congress (May 21, 2008) as they blame the 400% rise in gasoline prices since the Bush-Cheney Axis of Crude took over the pump nigh eight years ago!  No wonder Dubya vetoed the Congressional attempt to sue OPEC!  The solution to the staggering prices at the American pump is to allow “supply and demand” to take its toll:  DRILL FOR MORE OIL IN THE USA (translated:  Artic National Petroleum Reserve).

The optimum environment of a “Commercial Dictatorship” where the State and Commerce are joined at the hip is naught but the euphemistic recognition that our Executive and CEO’s of America’s corporations have resolved to dictate over the heads of the masses, no matter what the price of such a dictatorship may bring.

And, bring it shall . . . for the fruition of this obscene grab for political and economic collusion has already occurred—and NOTHING will stop it until Babylon’s ultimate destruction in Revelation 18.  Don’t be so naïve to contemplate otherwise – elect whom you will; fantasize of change if you must – but in the final and inexorable conclusion “Corporations Will Rule the World!”  What’s worse, these “corporate hacks” have little or no conscience to perpetuate their financial habits upon these hapless “bodies and souls of men.”

Friend – either prepare to stand afar off and weep – yes, weep ‘til you can weep no more – or come to the One Who is, and was, and is to come!  This is our only hope – this is our only refuge as the storm descends upon us all.  Yes, “The Rise or Fall of American Empire?” – Let us ask ourselves that question – personalize it – internalize it – for if our hope is in this age, in this world – we will either rise or fall depending upon which side we stand; and I think you know what I mean.
