"Letters from Babylon " follows the Screwtape Letters format popularized by C.S. Lewis. Dracma is the fictional demon Overlord of Babylon, the American empire. Dracma is sending reports to Satan, Lucifer, the angel of light, the Devil, the evil one who goes by many names. In these letters, Dracma lays out his plans for the last days deception for the American Church.
Please remember, this is just a spoof. This is not real! I am not Dracma! But it is deadly serious because Satan is out to deceive the whole world. If any of us think Satan's deception is going to be easy to detect, think again. It is going to be so good, so clever, so appealing that even the "elect" will be deceived! Hopefully, this series will help us see through Satan's designs... Now on to the Letters!

| To: Lucifer the Most High and Enlightened One You recall our first “tête-à-tête” in the Garden. You promised the “first couple” that they “would be like God, knowing good and evil.” (Genesis 3:5) What a juicy temptation! They went for it back then and they still do today! Not much has changed. While Moses was up on the mountain getting the “Ten Suggestions” the Israelites were making a beautiful golden calf. When they finally arrived in the promised land, they couldn’t resist the local ladies and their hand crafted “gods”. Oh how they loved those little idols – things made by their own hands and they worshipped them as “gods”! What a concept! Some things never change. Except that today, people worship other things without even knowing it. It could be their house, their career, their possessions or even themselves! But most people still have a need to find meaning for their sad little lives, so the paltry pieces of clay come up with their own ideas as to who the “Potter” is, what He is like and what rules He has, if any. Quite presumptuous creatures they have become, but ah, what can we say, we trained them well. So here we have man making G..d in his own image. What a concept! Today they see G..d as this warm and fuzzy entity who expects nothing of them and loves them unconditionally, whose main job is to leave them alone to live their lives and one day usher them into the “light” where they will fall into the tender embrace of their loved ones. We’ve come a long way boss! Most “post-Christians” have properly learned to worship themselves. Self-esteem, self-love, putting yourself first is the greatest love of all and everything wonderful flows from that throne. In New Age, and even many Christian circles (e.g. Mormons and even some charismatic Christians) they view man as “little gods” with creative and other “god-like” qualities that leads to their eventual deification. They still believe our first little lie – that they could be as God. As I said, not much has changed. Now the world has entered a new age of intolerant tolerance. They tolerate any behavior especially when it comes to the “sin” word, any definition when it comes to the “marriage” word and support choice above all. After all, who knows what is best for man than man himself! There is only one thing they cannot tolerate and that is the rigid, inflexible person who is so old fashioned that he believes in a God of absolutes! No, all a person has to do is put on his thinking cap and create his own little god – whether it is the person himself or whatever concepts he or she may want to use to formulate their special version of “god.” The “Book” is irrelevant mythology at best or part of a horrible conspiracy at worst. Man has graduated from the old myths and has gone beyond messaging to facebook, twittering and I-phones more powerful that the computer that filled a whole building 40 years ago. His churches have become halls of entertainment and seeker-friendly messages that make him feel good. They have embraced their interests in golf, tennis or quilting, yoga and exercise and overcome their loneliness and alienation. Believers are learning to master “contemplative prayer” and touch the god within themselves through quietness and meditation. Others are learning to create reality by calling it into existence, by visualizing it and by demanding that “G..d” obey their command. Now, even Christians are learning the ancient practices and techniques of how to touch the spirits and get them to do their bidding. Gone are the absolutes. Gone is the harsh, judgmental, intolerant G..d of days gone by. Now people can use their best imagination and training to either design their own god or do away with him completely. And the time will come when those narrow minded, potentially radical and dangerous fundamentalists will have to be dealt with once and for all – that scourge of intolerance polluting the earth! Let people decide on their own. Let them create the god that suits them best. That’s what they have done for thousands of years. The idea that G..d had a plan to save mankind to have a relationship with Him has really got to go. It is much easier to decide for yourself what life is all about. My most Illustrious Master!
