1Israel’s Feast Days and the False Prophet – what on earth do these two have in common?  Much in every way – for they signal the timing of Daniel’s Seventieth Week – yet future (much to the chagrin of our Seventh-Day Adventist, Mormon, Jehovah Witnesses and a truckload of Amillenarian brethren).  The idea that the Jesuits in the Counter-Reformation invented the notion that the Antichrist was a personal figure – in order to take the Amillenarian-Reformer’s heat off the Vatican and the Pontiff – and that John Nelson Darby fell for the Jesuit charade; and worse yet, that C. I. Scofield marketed these alleged fabrications and doctrinal distortions to the founder of Dallas Theological Seminary (DTS), one Louis Sperry Chafer, and thence to our beloved John Walvoord (past president of DTS) and to most Premillenarian institutions (in particular, Bible Schools and many an evangelical seminary, such as my former “Biblical Seminary” – Multnomah School of the Bible, now Multnomah University) is nothing more than historic revisionism (See here for explanation).

The futurity of Daniel’s Seventieth Week dates back to our Early Church Fathers (See my article:  Early Church Fathers – Our Prophetic Legacy, Chapter 11, the Prophetic Sequence) – and, insofar as the Antichrist being a future political leader:  To the time of the Roman Empire’s First and Second Century A.D.  Perhaps the amplification of the Feast Days in the Gospel of John are not as well known with regard to their prophetic implications, nor, for that matter, the 75 days beyond the Seventieth Week of Daniel’s prophecy committed “for your people and for your holy city” (i.e., to the Jews – See Daniel 12:11-12) – however, bless God, we “Gentiles should be fellow heirs, of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ through the gospel…according to the gift of the grace of God given to (Paul) by the effective working of His power . . . that (Paul) should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ” (Ephesians 3:6-8) – therefore, the Church is not only a witness to God’s ability to “graft them in again” but she is destined to bare mutual testimony against the machinations under the sway of the Evil One – against the “kingdoms of this world” – prior to the infamous day of Judgment, the Wrath of God and the Lamb!

One would think that our Amillenarian brethren would “cease and desist” their horrific and disquieting efforts (a rather declarative embarrassment to most thoughtful eschatologists) at mathematical gymnastics especially surrounding their tortured attempts at numerology (witness Harold Camping’s latest ill-fated mathematical gymnastics – a repeat, for certain, of his previous ill-conceived attempts to pinpoint the Rapture, Judgment and Second Coming of Christ) – most of which is not only inaccurate but devious in a vain and entrenched effort to dissuade believers into thinking that the Almighty has terminated his contract with Israel of the flesh and has accorded the Church all her favors both celestial and terrestrial.

In considering that the “footsteps of Messiah” are heard from Japan to Wall Street, from Bahrain to Morocco and from a plethora of false prophets (like Camping – notwithstanding some of the most beautiful music of the Church and radio Bible reading on earth) – many of whom assume some of the cleverest garments of pluperfect evangelicalism – one would conjecture that given the extremity of earth’s upheavals and those beating the drums of the end of the world (some claiming 2011 or 2012 for sure will end it all) that those listening would be wise to search out the truth of the matter before concluding all is lost.  “The truth is out there” – rest assured, but like the principle of the “wheat and the tares” – they grow together until the end (indistinguishable they be) – but for them who dare search “to and fro throughout the Scripture of Truth” – knowledge of the prophetic shall increase and become great (Daniel 12:4).

THE WORK OF DR. GAVIN FINLEY, M.D.

2The Almighty is altogether wise and has left us an indelible footprint to follow – His intention, I and others affirm (e.g., our dear brother, Dr. Gavin Finley of Endtime Pilgrim) – are hidden in the Feasts of Israel – either fulfilled now in Messiah Jesus or yet to be fulfilled and/or once again revisited to invigorate the prophetic implications of our destiny in these “Latter Years.”  We may have a different take on their eschatological unfolding and imperatives; however, the more one beholds their exegetical meanings, understands how our Lord Jesus in John’s Gospel and elsewhere throughout the New Testament acquainted His ministry with these very feast days to highlight His association with them prophetically and spiritually, the more the observer declares the incredible timeliness of God’s inerrant Word for our day.  To stand idly by and not exclaim:  How Great is our God! … after seeing Christ, the Messiah, in the Feasts and how they bear witness to astounding prophetic significance… ‘twould be an insult to the divine time table and the “Timekeeper” Whose amazing numerological calendar points the way to God’s righteous intentions for humankind and unending testament to His faithfulness to both Israel and the Church.

Dr. Finley has done a masterful job on the Feast Days as fulfilled in Jesus, the Christ – taking the Spring Feast Days as fulfilled in the first coming of Messiah (Passover, Unleavened Bread, Firstfruits – the crucifixion, burial and resurrection of Christ – and then the fourth major feast day, Pentecost occurring 50 days (49 + 1 = 50) thereafter) – all fulfilled.

After which the Fall Feast Days of Trumpets, Atonement and 3Tabernacles are viewed as unfulfilled/prophetical – these seven feast days constitute the “seven lamps” on the Menorah with the central stem being that of Pentecost (Leviticus 23); however, Daniel’s Seventieth Week, to this author, overwhelmingly pits the Antichrist-Beast in the battle for the Temple and ipso facto the Feast of Dedication to which John’s Gospel accords major significance must be integrated into the prophetic schematic to make eschatological sense to the spiritual wrap-up of the ages.  I have most certainly included the civil calendar’s commencement of the final week of judgment but it’s actual beginning is juxtaposed to the “sacred calendar’s” final Passover (the 8th Passover of the Daniel’s Seventieth Week – since the week commences with Passover, the traditional day religious Jews affirm Messiah’s appearance) but once the countdown and the judgment of the nations ensues, the “calendar is flipped” to its “civil status” - this will place us precisely at the Day of Atonement (6 months from Passover) and 75 days from Atonement is the Feast of Dedication wherein Daniel 9:24 is fulfilled – i.e., “to anoint the Most Holy Place” (the Millennial Temple) and the commencement of the Reign of the King, the Son of David on behalf of “your people and for your holy city” (Daniel 9:24).

FEASTS OF ATONEMENT – TABERNACLES - DEDICATION

The appearance of Jesus before John the Baptist – which date fell on the last day of the Feast of Atonement (See here:  However, this site did miss one of the Passover dates in John’s Gospel, included by chronological definition (John 5:1) – it, nevertheless, clearly pinpoints the commencement of Jesus’ Ministry on the final Day of Atonement) as the “Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world.”

His appearance at the Feast of Tabernacles (John 7:2-39) asserts the divine imperative to sequester the abode of the Spirit of Promise to indwell the “spirit of man” – for, “Out of his innermost being shall flow rivers of living water…but this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified” (John 7:38-39) (viz., the “spirit of man” is the abode of the Holy Spirit – See John 3:6).  Tabernacles, therefore, as recorded in John’s Gospel, confronts the future antitype in the “middle of the week” (Daniel’s Seventieth Week) known as the Abomination of Desolation or Transgression of Desolation (Daniel 12:11; 8:13; also the credibility Jesus gives to Daniel’s prophecy in Matthew 24:15 and Mark 13:14) wherein the Son of Perdition, that Man of Sin, is revealed in “that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God” (II Thessalonians 2:3-4).  This not only is the desecration of the Rebuilt Third Temple in present Jerusalem, and the commencement of “desolations” wrought by the Desolator (Daniel 8:13; 9:27; 12:11) – it is the utter desolation of man’s human spirit as “Satan entered into Judas” (Luke 22:3), even so, will not that Wicked One enter into the “temple of his body” (cf. John 2:19-21) and commit the deed wherein Antichrist shall become the Son of Destruction/Perdition and thence be entitled “the Beast?”  Thus, “two temples” are in view here:  The desecration of a Rebuilt Third Temple which we’ve calculated to occur “in the middle of the week” at the moment of counter distinction – the Feast of Tabernacles!  Alas!  Satan has committed the most heinous act in the universe – the Transgression of Desolation in the Temple in Jerusalem and the Abomination of Desolation in the spirit of a man, making him the Beast, totally absorbed in self, whose “innermost being” has become utterly destroyed, corrupted!

4Finally, the appearance of Jesus at the Feast of Dedication (i.e., Hanukkah - John 10:22-39) wherein He proclaims His deity as the Son of God – for the Jews were correct to assert:  “You, being a Man, make Yourself God” (John 10:33).  Even so, it is this Feast of Dedication which shall reappear within Daniel’s Seventieth Week on the 250th Day of that Week (250 days separate the Feast of Passover from the Feast of Dedication on the Jewish Festival Calendar) with the Passover at the commencement of the Week.  The Third Temple in Jerusalem, and the land, following the 40-day Gog-Magog conflagration, will experience “seven months” of “cleansing” (Ezekiel 39:12) or 7 x 30 = 210 days + 40 days = 250 days toward this Feast of Dedication (the Temple’s second Feast of Dedication).  This will surely constitute an affront to the Antichrist who will later, at the Feast of Nations (Tabernacles), declare his own “godhood” in “the middle of the Week.” However, though desecrated, yet will the final and third Feast of Dedication take place at the close of the 75 days wherein “the Most Holy Place” shall at last be anointed (Daniel 9:24) when the Civil Calendar of the Jews places the Day of Atonement (the Wrath of the Lamb upon the Gentile World Powers, the Nations) at its start (for there are 75 days between the Day of Atonement and the Feast of Dedication).

Thusly, the feasts of Atonement – Dedication – Tabernacles – all play a major prophetic role surrounding Daniel’s Seventieth Week, its 75-day extension and the future Millennial Reign of the Son of David upon this earth from Jerusalem.

SECOND COMING OF CHRIST – END OF THE 1290th DAY – “NO MAN KNOWS THE DAY OR HOUR”

Also – an astounding discovery (as we “search anxiously - to and fro” through the prophetic Scriptures in fulfillment of Daniel 12:4 – Amplified Version) has been uncovered; a most startling event heretofore not included in the Prophetic Feasts of Israel.  This “day” (i.e., the Second Coming of Messiah or Christ) has been hidden – indeed, “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only . . . Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour (lit. “day”) your Lord is coming . . . Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour (day) you do not expect” (Matthew 24:36, 42, 44).  Why is this “day” so singled out by our Lord?  It definitely is His Second Coming – His physical reappearance to this earth and confirmed by Acts 1:7, 10-11

“And He said to them, ‘It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority . . . And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, who also said, ‘Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven?  This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.’”

Yet, our Lord enjoined us:

“You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times . . . You can discern the face of the sky and of the earth, but how is it you do not discern this time?” (Matthew 16:3; Luke 12:56).

5We are enjoined to “discern” the “signs of the times” – yet we do not “know what day” our “Lord is coming.”  We propose to you that the very day of our Lord’s Coming to the earth has never been on the Feast Calendar of Israel because that “day” has never, before this time, taken place!   But it will take place – and take place it shall at the close of “desolations” (unto the 1290th day – Daniel 12:11) and at the commencement of the 45-days of “Blessedness” – during the “Marriage Supper of the Lamb” – for both the Church and Israel shall sit at meal with their brother Joseph (Genesis 43-45) who shall reveal Himself in all His fullness wherein “they shall look on Me, the pierced one.  Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn” (Zechariah 12:10).

These scenes are the archetype of the “Marriage Supper of the Lamb” which shall ensue during the commencement of His Coming to the earth “with all the saints” (Jude 14-15; Revelation 19:11-21) as the “Great Supper of God” culminates the final day of desolations and the Marriage Supper of the Lamb commences for “Babylon is Fallen, is Fallen” and “the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready . . . Blessed  are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!” (Ah!  There’s that precious word once again recorded in Daniel 12:12 opening up the 45-days of “Blessedness.”)” (Revelation 19:7-9).  Indeed, “Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection . . . Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years” (Revelation 20:6).

“No man knows the day or the hour” – for this great feast day has never occurred – hence, it is purposefully missing on the Jewish Civil Calendar during the 75-days following the close of Daniel’s Seventieth Week (Daniel 12:11-12).  Indeed, the Day of Atonement starts the countdown of the 30-days (for it is the “Wrath of the Lamb”), the final 30-days of desolations wherein the Seven Vials are poured out upon the earth (Revelation 16) culminating in Babylon’s final judgment (Revelation 16:19) – yet is the coming King of kings able to warn humankind (bound to the things of the earth though they be) of His immediate appearance on that “unknown day” –

6“Behold, I am coming as a thief, BLESSED is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame” (Revelation 16:15) – and now you know why these words of Jesus are positioned where they are in the Revelation just prior to His Second Coming and the forecast of Babylon’s demise!  It has everything to do with that wondrous – but yet unknown – feast day:  The Marriage Supper of the Lamb for “His wife has made herself ready” – all saints from all generations, including all those of both Testaments and, especially, those known as the “Tribulation Saints” will be at the “Marriage Ceremony” – wherein the Bride will “make herself ready.”

Yes, “two suppers” cannot be held simultaneously – no – the “Great Supper of God” or “My Sacrificial Meal” (Ezekiel 39:19) takes place during the final 30-days of desolation, and at its close, and the beginning of the “Blessed” 45-days, shall begin the “Marriage Supper of the Lamb!”  But during the 30-days of desolations and the Wrath of the Lamb, the Tribulation Saints – along with all the just from Adam forward – shall have been resurrected (i.e., at the end of Daniel’s Seventieth Week – or at the close of the 3.5 days of “persecution” of the Two Witnesses (Revelation 11:9-12; 11:2; 12:17 and Daniel 12:1-2a).  But, what takes place for “the saints” during this 30-day time frame of the Wrath of the Lamb – of His judgment meted out upon the earthlings?

It shall be a time for the Judgment Seat of Christ – the BEMA wherein “awards” shall be given to the faithful and, regretfully, shall those believers whose works were but “wood, hay and straw” be burned (I Cor. 3:12) – indeed, “each one’s work will become clear; for the DAY will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is” (I Cor. 3:13).  Thus, two judgments shall be taking place simultaneously – the BEMA for the saints and the Wrath of the Lamb for the Beast, the False Prophet and the earthlings who have embraced the Evil One’s agenda and “received his mark” and “worshiped the Image of the Beast” and have succumbed to the “number of his name.”

DOUGLAS BOOKMAN – THE JUDGMENT SEAT OF CHRIST

7Douglas Bookman’s article published in Israel My Glory for Friends of Israel (July/August 2001, pp. 11-13) determines the precise timing of what is known as the “Judgment Seat of Christ” (i.e., the BEMA):

“Christ will judge the living and dead ‘at His appearing’ (2 Tim. 4:1; cf. Mt 16:27; Luke 14:14; 1 Cor. 15:23; Rev 22:12). More specifically, Revelation 19:8 indicates that when the Lord Jesus descends in glory at the close of the Tribulation period [Note:  At the end of the 30-days of Desolations – my insertion], His Bride (the church) already will have received her reward [sorry, not during the Seventieth Week but after the Seventieth Week – my insertion]. In the phrase righteousnesses of saints, the noun righteousnesses is plural, indicating the righteous acts of the saints. The reference is not to imputed righteousness but to those elements of believers' lives and service that God has tested in the fire and found acceptable - those elements with which the Bride adorns herself in the triumphal march to the marriage banquet. Thus the Judgment Seat (i.e., the BEMA) occurs in the heavenlies during the interim between the Rapture of the saints (1 Thess. 4:13-18) and the descent of the Lord Jesus in glory (Rev. 19:11-21). [i.e., during the 30-days of the Wrath of the Lamb – my final insertion]

Now, “BLESSED are those who are called to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb!” (Revelation 19:9).

The 30-days of Desolation – this “Great Supper of God” – has never appeared on the Jewish Festival Calendar – nor has the commencement of the Marriage Supper of the Lamb!  Thus, during the 75-days on the Jewish Civil Calendar, the end of the 30-days of Desolations (unto the 1290th day) and the beginning of the Marriage Supper of the Lamb – the glorious Coming of the Messiah to Israel – the beginning of the 45-days unto the anointing of the Most Holy Place and the beginning of the Millenarian Reign of the Son of David, that final Dedication of the Millenarian Temple – the 75th Day (again – from Atonement to the Feast of Dedication there are precisely 75 days), there will be two judgments – two suppers (one stopping…the 30-days of the Great Supper of God…and one starting…the 45-days of the Marriage Supper of the Lamb) which now shall appear on Israel’s Feast Days’ Calendar.  Why?  Because now we know the “DAY!”

I strongly urge you to read Douglas Bookman’s brief but potent exposition of the “Judgment Seat of Christ” – its purpose is to award those servants of the Lord for their faithfulness with crowns and so much more – here, “His wife has made herself ready.”  The “Great White Throne Judgment” of Revelation 20:11-15 is the judgment of the “unjust” and the “wicked” and has nothing to do with the BEMA – it occurs at the end of the Millennium prior to the Eschaton (eternity) and the appearance of God’s Masterpiece:  THE HOLY CITY, JERUSALEM (Revelation 21; 22:1-5).

MARRIAGE OF THE LAMB & THE MARRIAGE SUPPER OF THE LAMB & THE “WOMAN, THE LAMB’S WIFE”

8Again, the announcement of this “day” – its absence on Israel’s Feast Day Calendar – commences at the start of the 45-days of “Blessedness” at the Coming of Messiah to the earth.  But a most interesting occurrence or “distinguishing” takes place during the 30-days of the two simultaneous judgments – i.e., the BEMA (the Judgment Seat of Christ for ALL believers throughout human history) and the coming “hour of His judgment . .. The great winepress of the wrath of God” (Revelation 14:7, 20).  While in heaven – when “all hell is breaking out on earth” – the saints dressed in white linen, which is the righteousnesses of the saints (i.e., their righteous acts), not only receive their rewards, their crowns and witness their losses, but they will – through this final acknowledgement of the just at His BEMA, constitute the “Marriage of the Lamb.”

The notion that this “wife” (Revelation 19:7 – “His wife has made herself ready” – is naught but the saints of the “Church age” is erroneous.  This “wife” is the same “wife” seen in Revelation 21:9 – “Come, I will show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife” or “Come, I will show you the woman, the Lamb’s bride.”  There is but one resurrection of the just prior to the pouring out of the Wrath of the Lamb.  Multiple resurrections insofar as the “wife” concerns is preposterous – i.e., the resurrection of Old Testament saints; and at least the resurrection of the so-called “Tribulation Saints” somehow constitutes a separate resurrection of the just from that of New Testament saints.  Unfortunately, Tommy Ice and our dear brother Arnold Fruchtenbaum have gone to exhaustive effort to separate out the Old Testament Saints and the Tribulation Saints of Daniel’s Seventieth Week, excluding them from “the woman, the Lamb’s bride” whom they say is exclusively the Church of the New Testament era (i.e. “the Church Age”).  Inadvertently, they have diminished the Lamb’s Wife!  However, they are correct that the “marriage of the Lamb” is distinguished from the “marriage supper of the Lamb.”

“Though the marriage of the Lamb to His bride (the church) and the marriage supper of the Lamb are closely related, they are separate events, just as the wedding ceremony and the wedding reception of our day are separate events. In fact, these two events are often held at two different locations, just as the marriage of the Lamb will be in heaven right before the second coming (Rev. 19), while the marriage supper of the Lamb will commence with the beginning of the millennium. Perhaps some are confused and fail to make these distinctions because the word marriage is used to refer to both events. By comparing Scripture with Scripture and distinguishing the things that differ, it appears clear that they are two separate events. The most important thing for anyone to consider is whether they will be invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.”

We would suggest that “the most important thing” is what constitutes the Lamb’s Wife, not “who’s invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.” Likewise, the “heaven” positioned by Ice/Fruchtenbaum is during the Seventieth Week of Daniel (i.e., a pre-trib rapture is in view here).  Their “Marriage Supper of the Lamb” is pre-mature – it occurs during the 45-day time frame of Daniel 12:12 with the anointing of the “Most Holy Place” (Daniel 9:24) at the Feast of Dedication – the end of the 45-days – officially inaugurating the Millennial Reign. We would concur that the BEMA is immediately followed by the “marriage ceremony” – both within the 30-day time frame, and then the commencement of the 45-days wherein the “Marriage Supper of the Lamb” is held.  However, we do not concur with the tortured exegesis that the Tribulation Saints and the Old Testament Saints, let alone those from Adam to Abraham are somehow excluded from the “marriage of the Lamb” – as they so state:

(Tommy Ice) “It is at this point that many Christians today often confuse the marriage of the Lamb with the marriage supper of the Lamb. But they are two separate events that occur at two different times in history. Revelation 19:9 says, ‘Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.’ This passage clearly has a forward look anticipating a future time. It cannot refer to anyone in heaven since the church (the bride) is the only redeemed entity in heaven [My emphasis]. However, after the second coming when believers from other ages will be resurrected (Dan. 12:2) along with tribulation saints, both mortal and resurrected ones (Rev. 20:4), these will be the invited guest who will be guests at this celebration supper. I believe that the marriage supper will be during the first part of the millennial reign of Christ.”

I would note here that “the only redeemed entity in heaven” during the Seventieth Week of Daniel – to which, I am sure, Bro. Ice alludes – is not just the so-called “pre-tribulational raptured saints” of the Church Age – for we read in Revelation 7:1 of a great “multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands” (and these are clearly within the time frame of the final Week).  Later, we find that, “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb” – if this vast multitude is not in heaven (“before the throne and before the Lamb”), then I have no idea where heaven is!  Also, “they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple…and He who sits on the throne will dwell among them” (Revelation 7:15).   Finally, all of this is described immediately after the declaration for the “mountains and the rocks” to “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb!  For the great DAY OF HIS WRATH has come, and who is able to stand” (Revelation 6:16-17) – i.e., the commencement of the 30-days of the Wrath of the Lamb.

Alas!  This glorious and heavenly scene of the saints – especially, the Tribulation Saints – abides deficient, in Arnold Fruchtenbaum’s interpretation in that they may attend the “Marriage Supper of the Lamb” but are ingloriously excluded from the “Marriage Ceremony” – i.e., “the marriage of the Lamb has come and His wife has made herself ready” (Revelation 19:7) – and this, both Ice and Fruchtenbaum, admit takes place before the Marriage Supper of the Lamb at the commencement of the 45-days in heaven, no less – where, interestingly enough, all the Tribulation Saints have been gathered.

“Fruchtenbaum says:  Hence, the ‘many’ who are bidden to attend the marriage feast on earth are all the Old Testament saints and the Tribulation saints resurrected after the Second Coming [i.e., These will “reign with Him (Christ) a thousand years” – Revelation 20:6 – my insertion]. While the marriage ceremony will take place in Heaven just before the Second Coming, the marriage feast will take place on earth after the Second Coming. In fact, it would seem that the marriage feast is what begins the Millennium or the Messianic Kingdom; the Church’s co-reigning with the Messiah will start with a tremendous marriage feast.[2]” (Marriage Supper of the Lamb, Dr. Thomas Ice – from the Pre-Trib Research Center)

The only problem with separating out the Tribulation Saints and Old Testament Saints from the Lamb’s Wife “marriage ceremony” prior to the “Marriage Supper of the Lamb” is the blatant fact that their resurrection takes place at the FIRST RESURRECTION (as if there were two distinct resurrections of the just):

“Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded, for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast, or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands . . . and they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years . . . but the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished.”   This (the antecedent of this refers back to “the souls of those who had been beheaded” – i.e., the “Tribulation Saints”) is the first resurrection.  Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection.  Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years” (Revelation 20:4-6).

Tell me, what is more significant:  To be invited to the wedding feast or to be the bride at the feast?  Case closed.

9The multiple resurrections of the just demanded in the tortured rendition of these dear brethren is at the expense of the Lamb’s Wife, His Bride – whose ultimate description demands that both Israel and the Church are in view:

“Come, I will show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife . . . and she had a great and high wall with twelve gates, and twelve angels at the gates, and names written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel . . . the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb” (Revelation 21:9, 12, 14) – clearly, the Lamb’s Wife, the Bride, is comprised of Israel and the Church, with the “Tribulation Saints” (if you would) an integral component within the Lamb’s Wife; indeed, excluding the Old Testament Saints and the Tribulation Saints diminishes the Woman, the Lamb’s Wife!

And, how, pray tell, can “bright and fine linen” be as distinguished as to suggest as Dr. Ice does?. . .

“The result of going through the judgment seat of Christ results in the bride being given fine linen that Revelation 19:8 says, ‘is the righteous acts of the saints.’ This is how ‘His bride (Ice’s New Testament Church) has made herself ready.’” (Ibid)

Is the “linen” of the Tribulation Saints – and for that matter those of all Old Testament Saints – less “brighter” and “finer” than the linen of the saints from the Church’s New Testament inception unto this day?  Separating out “linen” can be a most precarious process.  To deny those most faithful who have “overcome by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony” and “who loved not their lives unto the death” (i.e., Tribulation Saints) (Revelation 12:11) – equal status in His One Bride is a horrendous oversight. . . “clothed in white” vs. “linen bright and clean” – how is that different?

“A great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes . . . Who are these arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from? . . . These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb” (Revelation 7:9, 14).

10Likewise, to “distinguish” among the Lord’s servants (e.g., to the exclusion of the Old Testament and Tribulation Saints apart from those brought into the One Body during the Church Age) is fraught with a discrimination which borders on “spiritual discrimination” – for are not these servants gathered from among all nations and times after Babylon’s judgment (especially, those who have suffered her greatest persecution during the Seventieth Week of Daniel’s prophecy?) – and do they not constitute the “servants” found in Revelation 19:5? – and is it not they, throughout the ages, who have the right to belt out the four ALLELUIAS of Revelation 19:1, 3, 4 and 6?  For is it not they, the Holy City (Revelation 11:2) which has been persecuted by that Great City, Babylon, throughout the generations?

“Again they said, ‘Alleluia!  Her smoke rises up forever and ever!’ . . . Then a voice came from the throne, saying, ‘Praise our God, all you His servants and those who fear Him, both small and great!’ [Note:  Emphasizing the “divine inclusiveness” attributed to “all you His servants and those who fear Him, both small and great.] And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying ‘Alleluia!  For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns!  ‘Let US [the servants] be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.’  And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints” (Revelation 19:3, 5-8).

Finally, we hear these words regarding the Tribulation Saints – who abide under the Fifth Seal:

11 “When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held.  And they cried with a loud voice, saying ‘How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?’  Then a white robe was given to each of them; and it was said to them that they should rest a little longer, until both the number of their fellow servants and their brethren, who would be killed as they were was completed” (Revelation 6:9-11).

Dear brethren, “the number of their fellow servants and their brethren” include ALL the Church, the Tribulation Saints and the saints from Adam to Pentecost until now!  They are the Lamb’s Wife – they all have made themselves ready for “the marriage of the Lamb” and they all will be there, and, as well, they all will descend to the earth as the “armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean” following Him “on white horses” (Revelation 19:14).

How indignant to exclude Adam, Noah, Moses, Joshua, Rehab, Deborah, Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Israel, Joseph – all his brothers – Jeremiah, Isaiah, Samuel, Daniel, Ruth, Esther, Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, the prophets – “for the time would fail me to tell of . . .” – these all “died in faith” and yet they should be excluded and saved for a second-rate resurrection?  PREPOSTEROUS!  This is so upsetting to me that I appear to be having a spiritual apoplectic seizure!  “Lord, let them have my place as members of your one and only Bride – let me, then, take part in this supposed second resurrection” – Alas!  May I be accursed for my brethren sake that they all be in your glorious ceremony and be accounted worthy to be among “so great a cloud of witnesses!”  Indeed:  “That they should not be made perfect apart from us” (Hebrews 11:40).

But all this to say that this glorious and upcoming FESTIVAL DAY – the Marriage Supper of the Lamb – has never been accorded a “date” on Israel’s Feast Days’ Calendar – but it will . . .

THE OUTSTANDING POST-TRIBULATIONAL WORK OF DAVID FLYNN

The work that I had done on Israel’s Feast Days was done apart from the work that Dr. Finley did – when I chanced upon Dr. Finley’s efforts I was truly amazed and rejoiced to see so many confirmations that “we were on the right path.”  Then, to my utter amazement I chanced for the first time upon the work of one, David Flynn, a close associate of Steve Quayle and Tom Horn.  I was doubly amazed that our calculations were, in the main, identical – again, his work and mine had never been compared nor contrasted.  Flynn does not, however, elaborate in detail (though some calculations are made) regarding the two simultaneous judgments taking place in the first 30 days of “Daniel’s 75 days” nor of the 45-days of the Marriage Supper of the Lamb wherein “no man knows the day nor the hour” of the coming of the Son of Man.

12We have in point of fact, inadvertently expanded Flynn’s outstanding work unbeknownst to each other – bless God!  Our conclusions are very similar; however again, we have simply expanded upon Flynn’s discoveries – both of us, I believe, have been directed by the Holy Spirit to come to these conclusions . . . indeed, if the Holy Spirit could at the same time be working in Martin Luther and Zwingli without any contact until they met at the Marburg Colloquy – then that same Spirit is at work in brethren today!

“We know the length of the abomination of desolation, 1,290 days, and that it will commence from exactly the mid-point of the 7 years. After 7 years, 30 days from the signing of the covenant the desolation ends, so that has to be the point from which 2,300 days are counted backwards. If the desolation period 1,290 days is subtracted from the combined length of the sacrifice and the desolation, 2,300 days, there are 1,010 days from start of sacrifice to its interruption. The period of temple sacrifice lasts 1,010 days until the day when the Antichrist stops the daily sacrifice and sets up the abomination, at the mid-point of the 7 year treaty, day 1,260.

“According to the time line of Daniel, this leaves 250 days from the start of the treaty of seven years, to the actual beginning of the daily sacrifice performed by the Levite priests.  That is to say, once the treaty which allows the sacrifice to start again in Jerusalem is signed, there will be almost a year -- 250 days -- before the public will see the sacrifice actually performed. Why would there be 250 days between the treaty allowing for the temple sacrifice, and the actual beginning of the regular sacrifice?

“There are exactly 250 days between the feast of Passover, Nisan 14th, and the feast of Dedication (Chanukah), Chisleu 25th, in a 360 day year.

Feast day typology points to Passover, Nisan 14, in the first month of the religious year, as the likely date of a treaty reestablishing temple sacrifice (My emphasis throughout).  Even though the Passover treaty allows eventually for the regular sacrifice to begin. The Levite priests cannot go up to the Temple Mount until Tishri 10, the Day of Atonement, to perform the necessary cleansing ceremonies according to Mosaic Law.  It must be remembered that this area has been defiled since the fall of Jerusalem in 70 AD. During the crusades the temple mount was actually used for a garbage dump!”

My note:  Flynn’s observation of the “necessary cleansing ceremonies” on the Day of Atonement – which would occur approximately 180 days from the Passover, the commencement of Daniel’s Seventieth Week – and approximately another 70 days until the Feast of dedication – is truly a credible observation relative to the sacred practice of the Jews for cleansing!

“Even when the area is cleansed and properly prepared by the priests, the daily sacrificing to God on the temple mount would not just begin on any day. Such a momentous event as the first temple sacrifice in nearly 2,000 years in Israel would appropriately begin at the feast of Dedication or Chanukah, just as Joseph Maccabee did on that date the last time the temple was rededicated. This feast day falls exactly 250 after Passover. One has to marvel at Daniel's faithful writing of the prophecy he received, no wonder he did not understand the time line, the feast of Chanukah did not even exist in his day! If the covenant of the Antichrist begins on Passover in the first month of the Jewish religious year, then according to Daniel, 1260 days later, 3 and 1/2 years in the "midst" of the 7 year treaty, it would be broken on the feast of Tabernacles (Tishri 15th), in the first month of the Jewish civil year.

“After the abomination of desolation is set up at the mid-point of the treaty, the prophecy of Daniel says that the vindication of the temple does not occur until 1290 days later. Then Daniel is told to wait to be blessed on a day 1335 days after the mid-point of the treaty. This adds an additional 45 days onto the end of the 7 years + 30 days.

“If the religious year and the civil year are superimposed so that Passover in April, and the Day of Atonement start together, there are 75 days counted from the actual end of the 7 year treaty. Significantly, 75 days is the same amount of time between God's feast Day of Atonement, when the high priest goes into the Holy of Holies, and the Feast of Dedication, or Chanukah.

“Seven years after the covenant of the Antichrist begins, 2520 days after the signing, it is once again Passover. Prophecy tells us Jesus will return on that day, at the end of the battle of Armageddon (Zech 14:4), at the Mount of Olives.

“If the covenant of the Antichrist begins on Passover in the first month of the Jewish religious year, then 1,260 days later in the ‘midst’ of the treaty, it would be broken on the eve of the Feast of Tabernacles (Tishri 14th), in the first month of the Jewish civil year.” (“A Study of Israel’s Feast Days in Relation to End Time Prophecy” – David Flynn, as seen on the Watcher Website)

13Ostensibly, what we have done is to take into account that the Second Coming of Messiah takes place AFTER (not before) the 30-days; therefore, NOT on Passover – to finish the 1,290-day time frame allotted to desolations in Daniel 12:11.  Yes, the Coming of Messiah is after Armageddon (Zech. 14:4) but that coming does not take place “even until the consummation which is determined, is poured out on the Desolator” (Daniel 9:27) or, viz., “from the time that the daily sacrifice is taken away, and the abomination of desolation is set up, there shall be one thousand two hundred and ninety days” (i.e., again, the final 30-days beyond the conclusion of the second half of Daniel’s Seventieth Week or the 1260th Day of that second half of the Week); therefore, these 30-days are still inclusive of desolations; however, they are specifically destined for the pouring out of the Wrath of the Lamb; after which is the Second Coming of Christ and 45-days of the Marriage Supper of the Lamb and, finally, the glorious anointing of the “Most Holy Place” in fulfillment of Ezekiel’s Millenarian Temple (Daniel 9:24).  Armageddon, therefore, extends into the final 30-days of desolations.

Messiah’s return is an unknown “day” – “for no man knows the day” – it never was on Israel’s Feast Days’ Calendar (i.e., the end of the 30-days of desolation and the beginning of the 45 days of “blessedness”).  In this very real theological and eschatological sense, Israel’s recognition of Messiah (i.e., “You shall see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD!’” – Matthew 23:39) is of such significance it must be considered a major feast day, or an EIGHTH feast day and, of course, “8” is the number for resurrection.  Most certainly, though the “day” is unknown – for it follows that “great and terrible Day of the Lord” (Joel 2:30-31) – it was, bless God, prophetically established in Holy Writ by all the aforesaid – to God be the glory!

His return will be at the end of desolations and the commencement of the 45-days of Blessedness or the “Marriage Supper of the Lamb” – a completely new Feast Day inaugurated – FEAST OF THE MARRIAGE SUPPER OF THE LAMB – not on Passover (for indeed, if the 75-days, as Flynn rightly conjectures begins on the Day of Atonement (having “superimposed” the “sacred” calendar of Israel’s Feast Days for the “civil” calendar of Israel’s Feast Days) and concludes, again rightly so, at/on the Feast of Dedication…a 75-day interval between these two feast days of Atonement and Dedication)…then Passover cannot be interjected into his new sequence of Feast Days in that Passover – though it comes on the final day of the sacred calendar of Israel at the conclusion of the 1,260-day second half of Daniel’s Seventieth Week –  it does not reappear within the 75 days.  He has rightly superimposed the “civil calendar” as the start of God’s dealing with the nations in judgment; consequently, Passover is six months from the civil calendar date of the Day of Atonement and Atonement is 75 days from the Feast of Dedication BUT we still have those pesky 30-days of desolations with which to contend – perhaps I’m not understanding Flynn, but it appears that a “flip-flop” may have occurred here!

14Passover marks the commencement of Daniel’s Seventieth Week – for Antichrist’s involvement is a counterfeit of Messiah’s true effort – but though Passover concludes the Seventieth Week as well – we now must make an adjustment for the 30-day extension of desolations and the pouring out of the Wrath of the Lamb and the BEMA or Judgment Seat of Christ (a simultaneous set of “judgments” – one in the heavens for all believers of all ages wrought by the First and ONLY Resurrection (Revelation 20:4-6) and Rapture on the eighth Passover, the conclusion of the entire Seventieth Week of Daniel – and the other judgment upon the unrighteous, the unjust, known as the Wrath of the Lamb).

Simply put:  Passover cannot reappear between Atonement and Dedication (and I know that’s not what Flynn is saying but in fact Flynn is left with these 30-days of desolations and would have to conclude that our Lord’s return is at the conclusion of these 30 days, not at the conclusion of the 8th Passover or the final 1,260-days of Daniel’s latter half of the Week).  The 30 additional days of desolations ruins Flynn’s calculations, unless 30-days are needed to destroy the wicked, the Beast, the False Prophet – which the Prince of Peace, King of kings and Lord of lords will, when “the lawless one will be revealed” He, the “Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming” (II Thess. 2:8) – that doesn’t sound like it will take an additional 30 days!  In other words, when Messiah comes – the end of desolations is immediate.

The ambiguity surrounding Flynn’s recognition of the 75-days from Atonement to Hanukkah is understandable (i.e., he is relatively obscure as to what takes place during these two time frames); however, overall, his work is superlative and brings honor to the Lord’s intervention into the affairs of humankind at the close of the age and is a monumental post-tribulational endeavor that deserves our admiration; while it concurrently prepares God’s people for their ultimate witness and testimony in the “Latter Years!”

THE VIDEO – AND HAROLD CAMPING’S ABSURDITIES

This tome will be announced through a video-style presentation with slides attending.  This video is part of the article – our first!  However, the video with “voice over” is, I’m afraid, not for the faint of heart; therefore, we will put them in as a series on U-Tube-style format—you may pick and choose which you would like to view/listen to.

Again, the thought is laid bare to expose the falsehoods of them whose proclamations both past and present have wrought horrific confusion in the Body of Christ and have led multitudes into deception, while demeaning the person and work of Jesus Christ – to the extent that many of the aforesaid have become ensnared in the preaching of “another gospel” aside from the Grace found alone in Christ Jesus.  Yes, we will, prior to his abortive effort to be raptured – more like “ruptured” – expose the inane, deceptive and nutzoid attempts by the skewed Amillenarian himself, Harold Camping, to jettison some 200,000,000 souls, who haven’t a clue of their own assurance of His mercy and salvific blessing in Christ, from this planet in Family Radio’s May 21, 2011 Perusia or Rapture, after which five months of utter hell envelop the earth (ending sometime in October, 2011)  and finally and mercifully most of the planet’s leftovers are annihilated and, once again, haven’t a clue since hell to Camping is a final state of annihilation (no human or self-consciousness) in any event!

15

Church, listen up, we’ve got a much greater compass than the likes of Camping or the 2012 crowd – we have the Feasts of Israel to point the way – and, praise God, much greater light shall dawn upon these days as THE DAY approaches.  Camping’s calculations, if they were not so debilitating to those affected thereby, are altogether laughable – but, bless God, we have a “more sure word of prophecy.”

May God’s blessing be upon us all as we diligently search the Scriptures to see if these things be so – and, if so, stand fast in the grace given to us all who believe – knowing this, “that since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be, in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat?  Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells” (II Peter 3:11-13).

And finally…

“Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless; and consider that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation—as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you, as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures (Note:  This has been going on a long time!).  You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked; but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  To Him be the glory both now and forever.  Amen” (II Peter 3:14-18)
