A WORD FROM THE AUTHOR

Because of the nature of some of the materials in this book, certain names have been changed to preserve the integrity of the individuals involved.

At the time of this writing, most of the individuals are still living, and the final chapters of their lives have not been written.  The writer freely admits that she is not the judge of anyone's life, and only the Lord knows the heart and motive of each individual.  All the stories are true and have been written to bless, encourage and challenge the reader.

I want to give a special thanks to the one person that is second only to the Lord Jesus Christ in my life, my precious husband, Charlie Tuck.  Without his help and encouragement this book could not have been written.  What would I ever do without this darling man in my life?  He is always there to share my victories...... and when I'm down, to lift me out of my valleys.   He is my very best friend!

My family members, as always, are a continual source of encouragement to me.  They have seen me at my worst and at my best, and they love me anyway.  I pray this book will be a reminder to them of the family ministry we enjoyed together in our old farmhouse in Georgia.  When someone comes knocking at their door for help, may they always remember that our door was open to everyone.  I hope and pray they will remember Mom and Dad and the big round dining table, where guests shared meals and we shared Christ!

To the many people who over the years who have said, "Jerri, you need to write a book!", I can only say, "Here it is.  I hope you won't be disappointed.  These are God's stories.  I just happened to be there."
