Chapter Twenty-Two
Invitation

Dear Reader,
It is my earnest prayer that God has touched your heart as you've read my book. Maybe you have seen yourself in one of these stories. Perhaps you have reached a place where, like the doctor, or Roger, you feel there is no way out for you and suicide is the only solution.
Or could you be an "up and outer" like Lou, who had it all but still felt empty. You've been searching for a long time and wondered if there was an answer to life. Perhaps you're a "down and outer" like Gene was, and you want to do better but don't know how.
Friend, the Lord sees you right where you are, and He stands ready to forgive, restore, and save. It's so simple that a child can find the way.
Right where you are you can reach out to the Lord Jesus Christ. Follow
these simple steps:
1. Acknowledge your sinful condition to God.
"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just
to forgive us our sins, and cleanse us
from all unrighteousness."
I John 1:9
2. Believe in your heart that the Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross for
you, and that He rose from the grave on the third day.
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth
the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine
heart that God hath raised him from the
dead, thou shalt be saved."
Romans 10:9-10
3. Receive the Lord Jesus Christ into your heart as your personal Savior.
"But as many as received him, to them
gave he power to become the sons of
God, even to them that believe on his name."
John 1:12
PRAYER
Dear Lord Jesus,
I come before you
this day, acknowledging that I have sinned against you. I believe you died for
my sins, Lord. I believe you rose from the grave to show the world that the
price for sin has been paid in full. Lord, just as I am I come to you and ask
you to come into my heart to be my very own personal Savior. I receive you by
faith, Lord. Seal my decision with your precious blood. Help me to walk as a
Christian should. May your Holy Spirit fill every part of my life so others
will see the difference you have made in me.
