A quick review of Israel’s Sacred Calendar is complimented by the
seven feasts in the book of John wherein Jesus participated. Jesus
commenced His ministry during the Day of Atonement and within six
months participated in His first Passover. A year later his second
Passover and a year later His third Passover – by this time He had
completed 2.5 years of ministry. During His final year Jesus
attended the Feast of Tabernacles and then the Feast of Dedication.
His final Passover, shortly before His crucifixion was His seventh
and final feast day and, as well, His fourth Passover. These feasts
in John’s gospel are highly significant for their prophetic
importance with events during Daniel’s Seventieth Week.
