The enigmatic Pillars of Bronze are positioned at the forefront of what some believe was undoubtedly the most magnificent interior ever crafted by man, including all its elaborately designed accouterments: Solomon’s Temple in Jerusalem.  This, the “House of the LORD,” was assembled by the “man after God’s own heart” and spectacularly dedicated with the hosts of Israel present at an anointed extravaganza unsurpassed in its awesome pageantry and Divine confirmation.

As the consecrated priesthood – united for this majestic moment without the panoply of their “divisions” – took their positions within this architecturally, stunningly-designed temple complex (the Temple itself standing at the pinnacle of a score of grandiose structures) – the ecstatic throngs beholding this cast of sanctified thousands, were no doubt overwhelmed, as they viewed this vast priestly processional bearing the centerpiece of their very existence as a people:  The Ark of the Covenant.

Wondrous furnishings of gold, silver, bronze, along with elaborate curtains lavishly embroidered with angelic figures, and all housed within a masonry masterpiece of unmatched precision, along with wood panels and timbers designed by renowned woodcutters – greeted the Ark as it was ceremoniously escorted between Solomon’s Two Pillars of Bronze, through the vestibule, entering into the greatly expanded Holy Place, finally, to transverse into its ultimate resting place within the Holy of Holies.  Here, two massive cherubim with overspread wings upon its Mercy Seat succumbed to its golden brilliance of unimaginable elegance designed to distinguish the Ark’s singular content:   The Two Tablets which Moses put there at Horeb when the LORD made covenant with the children of Israel, when they had come out of Egypt:  The Ten Commandments.

On the one hand, the solemnity of the hour enshrouded all participants – on the other hand, the joyous festivities for the hundreds of thousands assembled before the Ark could not be contained!  The crowds surged to view this once in history dedication which was attended by sacrificing sheep and oxen that could not be counted or numbered for multitude – everything bespoke of a participatory embrace of the God of Israel in a fashion exceeding anything the Kings of this World had ever witnessed – for the people were as one.  One-hundred-and-twenty trumpeters, clad in white, trumpeted in sync with the mass choirs led by Asaph, Heman and Jeduthun, with all their sons and brethren, having cymbals, stringed instruments and harps – a veritable philharmonic adding flare for the dramatic build-up as the Ark passed this exceptional orchestral ensemble – for they “were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD…”and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the LORD , saying:

“For He is good…For His mercy endures forever!” … nothing could impede the response of the Almighty and His immediate acceptance of this sacrifice of praise and adoration for…

“The house, the house of the LORD, was filled with a cloud, so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud; for the glory of the LORD filled the house of God.”

To rehearse:  As King Solomon stood upon an especially-created bronze platform – designed to view, address and prayerfully dedicate this “House of the LORD” – he found himself in the court before the massive burnt offering altar.  Here he witnessed the Ark’s entry into the inner sanctuary; then the exodus of the Levitical priests out from the Temple’s Holy Place after the Ark’s placement.  Whereupon, Solomon and the multitude were greeted by a tumultuous symphony headed up by 120 trumpeters bursting forth with joint choirs and a myriad of instruments accompanying…then it happened amidst earth’s long-awaited ascending praise, that the “house” – the “house of the LORD” – was filled with a cloud so intense that the priests could no longer continue ministering because of the cloud for the glory of the LORD filled the house of God.

Forthwith, Solomon stood and turned from the beclouded temple to bless the whole assembly of Israel.  Herein did he rehearse the faithfulness of the LORD God toward Israel and with outstretched hands to the heavens, “knelt down on his knees before all the assembly of Israel,” and uttered the kingly prayer of dedication before the LORD and all the people to declare the Almighty’s beneficence toward His servant King David and to all Israel – and as spectacular and divinely accepted was this most glorious display – yet, did King Solomon demur with these prayerful profundities:

“But will God indeed dwell with men on the earth?  Behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain You.  How much less this house which I have built!”

Then during one of the most public of prayers ever rendered with passionate pleadings throughout for the people of Israel, King Solomon with prescient wisdom saw into the future and declared:  “Then hear from heaven and forgive the sin of Your people Israel, and bring them back to the land which You gave to them and their fathers”. . . thereafter, with repeated personal, yet intensely corporate, even intimate exchange with the LORD God Who had made Himself so incredibly accessible to this peculiar people, he concluded in a finale of prayer likened unto a crescendo of humanity’s greatest longing for divine intervention, whereby its ascension before the face of Him with Whom we have to do, required a divinely charged response beyond all acceptation . . . and that echo from God’s throne in heaven thundered with unmitigated approval and demonstrable acceptance upon this place on earth:

“When Solomon had finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the LORD filled the temple and the priests could not enter the house of the LORD, because the glory of the LORD had filled the LORD’s house.  When all the children of Israel saw how the fire came down, and the glory of the LORD on the temple, they bowed their faces to the ground on the pavement, and worshiped and praised the LORD, saying:  ‘For He is good, for His mercy endures forever.’” (II Chronicles 6 and 7).

The Two Pillars of Bronze by the House of the Lord and the Divine Plan

The mystique of Solomon’s Two Pillars of Bronze has baffled saint and secularist, but in particular, those of Masonic persuasion, from the time of their appearance and their prominent posture before the House of the LORD God of Israel.  A description of the pillars can be seen in 1 Kings 7:15-22; II Kings 25:16-17; II Chronicles 3:16, 17; 4:12-13; and Jeremiah 52:20-23 – but this description can sometimes bewilder the researcher as we shall see.* (*See below a summary of these various descriptions in detail.)

We affirm there is deep spiritual meaning to these otherwise free-standing objects of supreme beauty – for they were clearly “before and/or by the Temple Entrance” not supporting portico but in mute testimony to their Designer, to Whom we defer regarding their most sacred measurements wherein prophetic disclosures concerning the Purposes of God are thereby detailed.  It is to these sacred calculations we aspire – this is our primary focus.

The key to the Temple’s secrets is in the floor plan and layout of its furnishings.  The “plan” or “pattern” (Heb., tabnit) of its structure and furniture is mentioned in I Chronicles 28:11, 12, 19Tabnit connotes design, structure, figure, form, likeness and shape.  Thusly, in Deuteronomy 4:16-18 the Israelites are forbidden in making any likeness, form, or figure of a human or beast for worship.  In Ezekiel 8:10 the prophet sees repulsive forms or figures of creeping beasts, but in Ezekiel 8:3 he is lifted up by the form or figure of God’s hand or an angel’s (see also Ezk.10:8); and in Psalms 144:12 sons and daughters are compared to choice cut stones giving shape or form to a palace (see the Jewish Publication Society’s Tanakh); to wit:

“Then David gave his son Solomon the plans for the vestibule, its houses, its treasuries, its upper chambers, its inner chambers, and the place of the mercy seat; and the plans for all that he had by the Spirit, of the courts of the house of the LORD, of all the chambers all around, of the treasuries of the house of God, and of the treasuries for the dedicated things . . . ‘all this,’ said David, ‘the LORD made me understand in writing, by His hand upon me, all the details of these plans.’”  (I Chronicles 28:11-12, 19)

Furthermore, tabnit alludes to the form of an object.  Thus, King David was given a form, plan or pattern for the House of the Lord.  Even so, Moses heard from God on Sinai those instructions which would craft the Tabernacle in the Wilderness (Heb. Mishkan).  The word tabnit is connected with the Hebrew word banah, which means to build a house or other structure.  It can also mean to rear children; hence, a “house” is one’s “family.”  Rachel and Leah are mentioned in Ruth 4:11 as the two wives of Jacob, whose name was changed to Israel, as being the “builders” of the House of Israel.

And to this we add:

“Furthermore King David said to all the assembly:  ‘My son Solomon, whom alone God has chosen, is young and inexperienced; and the work is great, because the temple is not for man but for the LORD God” (I Chronicles 29:1) . . . from whence all the materials for the House of the Lord were prepared by David in abundance – thus, plans and materials were ready for their assembling by King Solomon, heir to the throne of David and the finisher of the Temple unto the Lord.

Now, skeptics delight in the apparent inconsistency of the measurements found throughout these passages – but they are woefully ignorant of the heavenly character of these divine measurements . . . both in exposing their ignorance and to their frightful peril!  For you see, these architectural plans, are as David declared:  BY THE SPIRIT.  Since they are given by the Spirit, they must be discerned, not by the carnal exploits of the natural mind, but by the Spirit of God Who alone can make sense of these calculations.

For in several places their height is 18 cubits, crowned with a 5 cubit capital, with apparent 4 cubit extensions atop the capitals consisting of lilies (I Kings 7:15-22; Jeremiah 52:17, 20-23 – Jeremiah does not mention the lilies . . . we are left to conclude if these extension of lilies make the pillars 40 cubits or that they are included within the 35 cubit measurement); but then in II Kings 25:16-17 it mentions the 18 cubit length of the pillars but states that the capital is 3 cubits; still further, in II Chronicles 3:15-17 it states that the pillars were 35 cubits in length and “the capital that was on top of each of them was five cubits.”

These apparent discrepancies are greatly touted about by ignoramuses whose folly shall someday be ‘weighed in the balance” and “found wanting” in more ways than one!

Please view the pictorial beneath the title of this article and notice the various proportions of the pillars.  They are, in point of fact, either 35 total cubits in total height with the 5 cubits of the capital assigned to their tops making them a total of 40 cubits and then we must add the 4 cubits of lilies atop the capitals, making the entire length 44 cubits.  This seems rather unlikely – i.e., the 5 cubits of the capital, along with the 4 cubits of the lilies are included within the 35 overall length of the pillar and are not added atop the 35 cubits.  Notwithstanding, the length measurements which are given, clearly detail the following:

18 Cubits – The “simple length” of the Pillar (2 ea.)

5 Cubits – The length of the Capital

4 Cubits – The length of the Lilies atop the Capital

Therefore, the total “exposure of measurements” so given total 18 + 5 + 4 = 27 cubits – these are the only measurements in “length” that are revealed; however, the circumference of the pillars are given as 12 cubits.

4If the “full extension” of the pillars as given in II Chronicles 3:15 is 35 cubits (inclusive of both the capital of 5 cubits and the lilies of 4 cubits – with the “base length of the pillars” at 18 cubits) we must subtract the total of “revealed lengths” of 27 from 35 total length:

35 – 27 = 8 cubits.  These 8 cubits would be found beneath the pillars (i.e., their mounts) and perhaps naturally between the capital and the lilies; the capital and the base length of the pillars and between the base length and the mount itself.  Any number of combinations can thus be configured:  For example:

1.      Mount = 5 cubits

2.      Mount connector to 18 Cubit Pillar = 1.25 cubit

3.      18 Cubit Pillar

4.      Capital connector to 18 Cubit Pillar = 1.25 cubit

5.      5 Cubit Capital

6.      Lillie connector to the 5 Cubit Capital connected = .5 cubit

7.      4 Cubit Lilies

NOTE:  There are “seven” separate sections of the Pillar of Bronze – 4 major sections and 3 connectors or 4 + 3 = 7.

5 + 1.25 + 18 + 1.25 + 5 + .5 = 35 cubits (problem solved)

Again, the circumference of the 18 Cubit Pillar was 12 Cubits, leaving a diameter of approximately 3.8 cubits or precisely (3.8181818 cubits – formula:  C = π*d).  Furthermore, the thickness of the 18 Cubit Pillars was “four fingers” which is approximately 3” (the pillars were hollow and so formed in thickness according to Jeremiah 52:21).

Furthermore, there are some other interesting details, in which we find on the Capitals themselves there were “Seven wreaths of chain work” (again, please see the pictorial atop this article) – indeed, “seven chains for one capital and seven chains for the other capital.”  The Darby Version of the Scripture clarifies these ornate capitals:

“…[and] nets of checker-work, wreaths of chain-work, for the capitals which were upon the top of the pillars; seven for the one capital and seven for the other capital” (I Kings 7:17)

The length of the “wreaths of chain-work” is not given, although their total number per capital is – i.e., “seven wreaths of chain-work” per capital.

The 4-Cubit Lilies

The 4-Cubit lilies whose height replicates precisely in “number” the 18 of the New Jerusalem Standard (4 x 25.20 = 100.8” or 1 and 8 = 18), while combined total 201.6” or the 2160 (diameter of Earth’s Moon wherein the Woman throughout Sacred Scripture – both Hebrew and Christian Canon – from Eve whose “seed would crush the Serpent’s head” to “the Woman, the Lamb’s Bride” is the same Woman seen in Revelation 12 who has the Moon beneath her feet reflecting the Sun of Righteousness.

The ornate Lilies epitomize the purpose of Resurrection Life and the ultimate New Beginning (“8” as in 4 Cubits + 4 Cubits = 8 Cubits).  There are 15 references in Sacred Canon concerning lilies – 8, or over half of them, are in the Song of Songs (Canticles) and aptly so in that King Solomon placed them as the crown above the Two Pillars of Bronze Capitals.  One of the finest commentaries on the Lily is given by Benjamin Keach in his books on types.  Virtually all, however, commentators agree that the “lily of the valleys” in the Son of Songs 2:1 is a picture of Messiah, Jesus.  Keach gives five comparisons between the lily of the valley and the Lord Jesus – here is a summary of his points:

  1. A lily is a sweet and a flagrant flower with a strong scent. Jesus has a sweetness in His ministry especially when He gave "himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling savor" (Ephesians 5:2).
  2. A lily is white and very beautiful; exceeding all other flowers for whiteness. Within it are seven grains or seeds that are the color of gold. White is a picture of purity (Revelation 3:4). The bride of the Lamb will be clothed in white (Revelation 19:8). What better representation of the purity of Jesus Christ, the one "who knew no sin" (2 Corinthians 5:21), who "did no sin" (1 Peter 2:22), who was tempted "yet without sin" (Hebrews 4:15), and who "in him is no sin" (1 John 3:5), than a beautiful white lily? "For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens" (Hebrews 7:26).
  3. A lily is very fruitful. One root may put forth fifty bulbs. Through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, He brings forth much fruit (John 12:24). It is by bearing much fruit that He glorified the Father (John 15:8).
  4. A lily, according to the ancient writer Pliny, is the tallest of flowers and yet hangs its head down. This a beautiful picture of the greatness of the Son of God matched only by the greatness of His humility. "Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross" (Philippians 2:8).
  5. The lily has many medicinal qualities. According to ancient teaching, it could be used to restore a lost voice, help faintness, was good for the liver, and helped dropsy. The Lord Jesus Christ is the great physician and is fully capable of curing all diseases and maladies of the soul.

The Pomegranates – the Radius of the Earth – Earth’s Distance to the Sun – and the New Jerusalem Standard of “18”

The number of the pomegranates on each pillar/capital is most significant in that we have another math problem of divine magnitude:

17[and] nets of checker-work, wreaths of chain-work, for the capitals which were upon the top of the pillars; seven for the one capital and seven for the other capital.

 18And he made pomegranates, namely two rows round about upon the one network, to cover the capitals that were upon the top of the pillars; and so he did for the other 7capital.

 19And the capitals that were upon the top of the pillars were of lily-work [as] in the porch, four cubits.

20And the capitals upon the two pillars, above also, close to the enlargement which was behind the network, had two hundred pomegranates in rows round about, [also] on the other capital.

 (I Kings 7:18-20 – Darby Translation)

Please note the initial location of the pomegranates is stated as “round about upon the one network, to cover the capitals that were upon the top of the pillars.”  Thus, it appears that these pomegranates were located between the 18 Cubit Pillar and the capital itself which sat immediately atop the 18 Cubit Pillar – notice, no mention is made of the number of pomegranates, only that two rows are mentioned.

Then in verse 19 it speaks of the lily-work atop the actual capitals and having a completely separate measurement of 4 cubits – not the 5 cubits of the capitals themselves . . . it’s as if this is an “extension” of the capitals . . . blossoming forth from the capitals.

Then it says:  “And the capitals upon the two pillars, ABOVE ALSO, close to the enlargement which was behind the network, had two hundred pomegranates in rows round about.  What we have now is either a clarification of the initial two rows between the 18 Cubit Pillar and the commencement of the 5 Cubit Capital or we have atop the 5 Cubit Capital and, thusly, between the 5 Cubit Capital and the 4 Cubit Lily Capital a SECOND series of pomegranates (“above also”) which are given as in “rows” (but not “two” necessarily) but there precise number is given as “200.”  One would assume that both the top and the bottom of the first capital (the 5 Cubit Capital) would have equal numbers of pomegranates – i.e., 200 in each area – i.e., top and bottom of the first 5 Cubit Capital; however, we have a problem…

In Jeremiah 52:22-23 it states:

“A capital of bronze was on it; and the height of one capital was five cubits, with a network and pomegranates all around the capital, all of bronze.  The second pillar with pomegranates was the same.  There were ninety-six pomegranates on the sides; all the pomegranates all around on the network, were one hundred.”

So – do we have one set of 200 pomegranates or two sets of 200 pomegranates or do we have one set of 200 pomegranates and another set of 96 + 100 = 196 pomegranates?  Just what do we have here?  Furthermore, things get a bit complicated in that we clearly were told that there were two sets of 200 ea. per pillar; so, quite frankly, are we looking at 196 twice on each pillar?  This would mean a “deduction” of 8 pomegranates per pillar of two sets of “4” per pillar or 4 sets of “4” per two pillars and instead of a total of 400 per pillar we would have 400 minus 8 (2 x 4 = 8) = 392 and this would make our grand total of pomegranates on two pillars to 800 – 16 = 784 (Proof:  784 + 16 = 800).  Likewise, it appears these pomegranates were “spotted” “on the sides” … “all around on the network” and that the network was on the sides of the capital.  Darby’s translation just adds more fuel to the confusion of pomegranates:

 22And the capital upon it was brass, and the height of the one capital [was] five cubits; and the network and the pomegranates, upon the capital round about, all of brass; and similarly for the second pillar, and the pomegranates.

 23And there were ninety-six pomegranates on the [four] sides; all the pomegranates upon the network were a hundred round about.

What seems clear to this author is that we have “two sets” of numbers (most certainly).  In I Kings 7 (the first mentioning in I Kings 7 of the pomegranates) we have two rows of pomegranates without numbers and then 200 pomegranates in unnumbered rows, nevertheless rows.

Then in Jeremiah 52 we have on the “four sides” of the capitals (which capitals having four sides each would of necessity have to be square or rectangular, having four sides or the “view” of them would of necessity be four-sided and could still be “rounded” as in our graphics but viewed from four sides) 96 pomegranates and then it says “all the pomegranates upon the network were a hundred round about.”  Which is it?  Is it 96 or is it 100 or is it 100 and also 96?

8What we do know is this:  In I Kings 7:20 the total pomegranates is 200 and in Jeremiah 52 the total number is 196 (96 + 100 = 196) – combining the two we have 396 (200 + 196 = 396); after all, in I Kings 7:15-22 it simply mentions there are pomegranates in two rows (no number of pomegranates) and then it states there are 200 pomegranates in “rows.”  Could it be that the “rows” hold 200 pomegranates and that on the “sides” we find another 196 pomegranates and that these pomegranates extend 96 on the sides and 100 atop the capital (i.e., between the 5 Cubit Capital and the 4 Cubit Lily Capital)?  Wherever and whatever the number so calculated – what is revealed to us in I Kings 7:15-22 gives us 200 pomegranates and in Jeremiah we are given 196 pomegranates; however, from II Chronicles 4:12-13 we read:

 “The two pillars and the bowl-shaped capitals that were on top of the two pillars; the two networks covering the two bowl-shaped capitals which were on top of the pillars; four hundred pomegranates for the two networks (two rows of pomegranates for each network, to cover the two bowl-shaped capitals that were on the pillars);”

Likewise, this is again affirmed in I Kings 7:41-42 where it discloses more information on the number of pomegranates and the rows:

“The two pillars, the two bowl-shaped capitals that were on top of the two pillars, the two networks covering the two bowl-shaped capitals which were on top of the pillars, four hundred pomegranates for the two networks (two rows of pomegranates for each network, to cover the two bowl-shaped capitals that were on top of the pillars);”

Well, does this clarify or complicate the number of pomegranates?  Viewing the Two Bronze Pillars we immediately notice that there are TWO Capitals per Pillar – the first 5-Cubit high Capital and the second one, the 4-Cubit high Lilies – indeed, there are “two bowl-shaped capitals which were on top of the pillars” making a total of 4 bowl-shaped capitals (2 + 2 = 4).

Furthermore, on each pillar there were two sets of two-hundred each or per pillar a total of four hundred pomegranates; thus, there were two hundred pomegranates in rows between the 18-Cubit Bronze Pillar and the first capital bowl and 200 pomegranates in rows between the top of the 5-Cubit Capital and the 4-Cubit Lily Bowl atop the 5-Cubit Capital which brought the total count of pomegranates per pillar to 400 (i.e., 200 + 200 = 400).  However, we must add in the additional pomegranates on the similar pillar to give us a total of 800 pomegranates – for 400 + 400 = 800 pomegranates.

Eight (8) is the number of New Beginnings in Holy Writ and clearly connotes New Life or New Beginnings or Resurrection – for He arose on the first day of the week or the day after the Seventh Day of the Week or the Eighth Day, which is also the First Day of the Week.  What we have here, then, is the “abundance of resurrection Life” seen in the 800 pomegranates.

However, in calculating the missing “4 pomegranates” (or “8” given the fact of the two rows each for a total of 400) –i.e., 100 + 96 = 196 as recorded in Jeremiah 52 we have an amazing series of calculations to consider…let me explain.

By giving us these “two sets” of “number” we arrive at 200 + 96 + 100 = 396 (strictly from several passages found in I Kings 7:15-22 (Note:  I Kings 7:15-22 gives us only 200 pomegranates, although we expect more but this is not the immediate recordation).  In Jeremiah 52 we simply have a recording of 100 and another one of 96 for a total of 196; therefore, with only this information given, and knowing there were two row each of 200, we are are still forced to look solely at the recordation of 196 and add to it the 200 equaling 396.

When we consider 3 + 9 + 6 = 18, then we begin to comprehend this wondrous mystery of the pomegranates.  Yes, with their many seeds they connote the “abundance of life” – but they also in number, so exclusively revealed, bring us face to face that this abundance of life has but one purpose:  THE NEW JERUSALEM – for the “18” is the New Jerusalem Standard which we will now explore throughout these marvelous TWIN PILLARS OF BRONZE.  Examination of these calculations is not a random exercise in happenstance – these cubit measurements are as precise, along with their numbered items, and must be considered as part of “the Plan of God.”  This “Plan” is not simply for a physical structure on earth to house the presence of God…for the “heaven of heavens” cannot contain the Almighty, so how can this earthly abode; no matter how elegant its structure?  It is within the structure and its furnishings and their descriptions that the Plan of God is revealed…that is what rivets our attention.

A closer look at this “396” figure reveals another critical result – God’s plan is for the whole earth.  How is that?  Simply, the 396 is directly connected to the diameter of the Earth – it is its radius of the Earth wherein 3960 miles is 1/2 of 7920 miles, the diameter of the Earth.  The New Jerusalem Matrix unveils some of these calculations; however, 3960 does interact perfectly (for this is one of the “qualifications” for the 30 sets of number constituting the New Jerusalem Matrix – i.e., the primary number sets illuminating the measurements of the New Jerusalem with “33” being the number of Messiah at His death/resurrection in age) – however, 33 x 396 = 130680 = 18 New Jerusalem Standard (NJS).  Although 396 is not in the New Jerusalem Matrix, the number set of 792 is, therefore, the “396” is embedded within the 792 and, one could say, that “392” is included in the New Jerusalem Matrix by “proxy.”

Again, the NJS is calculated via Revelation 21:16-17 wherein it states that one edge of this cubed object is 12,000 furlongs with one furlong equaling 660 Linear Feet; thus, 12,000 x 660 = 7,920,000 Linear Feet / 5280 (number of feet in an Imperial Mile) = 1,500 Linear Miles x 12 Edges (12 edges is a cube) = 18,000 miles or 18 NJS.

The Earth’s diameter is critical in these configurations in that if the Earth’s Diameter constitutes one edge of a “cubed Earth” to reflect the object of the New Jerusalem, then, 7920 x 12 = 95,040 miles (12 edges of the Earth) and 95,040 is equal to 18 NJS (9 + 5 + 4 = 18); also, that 95,040 is a “fractal” (i.e., a “reduced size copy” used in geometrics) of the 95,040,000 miles at apogee (furthest distance) between the Earth and the Sun.  Thus, the Pomegranates upon the Two Bronze Pillars of Solomon’s Temple are directly connected to the measurements of the Earth, the Sun and the New Jerusalem and bear in their peculiar accounting the radius of the Earth as a “fractal” thereof and, most definitely the very 18 NJS as in 3 + 9 + 6 = 18 NJS.

Therefore, and although we know that the total pomegranates on both pillars is equal to 800 (400 + 400) we now know that the “revealed accounts” given in I Kings 7 and Jeremiah 52 focus on this total number of 396 (per pillar); whereas, the Resurrection Life and the “4 sets of 200” – wherein “4” is most definitely the number of creation/creature signifying the Resurrection Life is afford the believer and that the “396” is the ultimate intention of that Resurrection Life:  The New Jerusalem!

However, that said, if we calculate each pillar’s 200 (2 rows) to be 196, then we would have two sets of 196 or a reduction of “8” pomegranates which “8” per pillar would wholly emphasize that at the destruction of the Temple and the removal of these Two Pillars of Bronze, that the “time of new beginning” or Resurrection Life had diminished or that in judgment or in “death” the day would come that Resurrection Life would come out of this death per pillar (i.e., “8” missing from each pillar).

Therefore – if the 196 is the same for each set of two rows of 200 we arrive at 392 pomegranates per pillar with an emphasis of “8” missing from each Pillar; likewise 3 x 9 x 2 = 54 (on one pillar) and 3 x 9 x 2 = 54 on the other pillar; consequently, 54 + 54 = 108 = 18 NJS.  Even in this diminishing, this “trial” – the New Jerusalem remains prominently in view!

Even so, the “8” of Resurrection Life/New Beginning leads us to the New Jerusalem – Jeremiah’s recordation is utterly inspired.  Finally, the fact that both pillars share in this “8” (i.e., 8 to be missing from each pillar) allows us to view His Life, His Resurrection Life (i.e., “Life out of the Death of His Cross – “Messiah shall be cut off (lit. “suffer the death penalty”), but not for Himself” – Daniel 9:26), New Beginning is “shared” by both Israel and the Church – this is heightened when we must add together the “54” or the “9” from each side to equal “18” the New Jerusalem Standard – i.e., we cannot arrive at “18” unless and until we add these distinctions together to arrive at the One New Jerusalem – the Two Pillars of Bronze in Life are ultimately One Expression of the New Jerusalem, yet distinctly Two, as a Testimony and Witness to the One True God.

This greatly assists us in the meaning of the Two Bronze Pillars; however, many have written regarding their meaning…again, we present some of the more noteworthy in our estimation…

Sundry Interpretations to the Two Pillars of Solomon:

10Free Masonry has incorporated the entire motif of Solomon’s Temple into their entire schematic of occult meaning and significance – some of which is pertinent, some of which is purely pagan in its origins.  We do not have time nor interest in ascertaining their mystical aspirations and cleverly devised interpretations associated with their initiations and elaborate conspiracies – conspiracies which are stamped upon the founding of the United States of America and whose rabbit trails lead hither, thither and yon – most of which signify nothing; others which abide the dark side, preserved unto the End of Days when they shall be exposed for their whimsical, yet foolish quest for power and wealth; though many of their good works are commendable.  Even so, Solomon’s Pillars are given full disclosure within their rite and initiations – so terribly have they been corrupted; yet, their abilities for architectural accuracy I find interesting and somewhat useful for its objectivity (i.e., masons are builders and their science tends to be noble – and, as a former contractor, I do appreciate this effort to ascertain the measurements of the pillars).

Again, the spiritual meaning of the pillars is duly noted by a number of scholars and researchers – to give several for their worth is significant:

Tony Badillo’s outstanding work on Solomon’s Temple, found on his Temple Secrets web site states:

 “The secret is this: The Jachin pillar (meaning Yah establishes – south side facing) is King Solomon, and the Boaz pillar (meaning strength – north side facing) is King David. And these two were Israel’s most illustrious kings and also the ones mostly responsible for planning and/or building the Jewish Temple. Both kings are messianic figures.” (Jachin and Boaz – Tony Badillo

Tony Badillo’s commentary in the Temple Secrets reveals the “outline of a man” with the Two Bronze Pillars constituting the man’s legs.

In the main we concur with Tony Badillo’s conclusions; however, he contends that “Temple Man” juxtaposed to the “Image” created by King Nebuchadnezzar  consisted of four metals (Gold, Silver, Bronze and Iron) and that “Temple Man” was comprised of only three of these metals; however, according to I Chronicles 29:2 “iron” is included in “Temple Man” as follows:

“Now for the house of my God I have prepared with all my might:  gold for things to be made of gold, silver for things of silver, bronze for things of bronze, iron for things of iron, wood for things of wood, onyx stones, stones to be set, glistening stones of various colors, all kinds of precious stones, and marble slabs in abundance.”

Thusly, it can be said that Nebuchadnezzar’s Image is, if you would, a vain attempt to replicate the “Temple of Man” designed to reflect the Purposes of God wherein the Almighty desires such a habitation “through the Spirit” and that the Image in Nebuchadnezzar reflects Gentile World Powers in opposition to the Divine Government – it is a “counterfeit Messiah” and stands in stark contrast to “the Last Man Adam became a Life-giving Spirit.”  The “First Adam” was made a “living soul” but the Last Adam is made a Life-giving Spirit.  The one (First Adam) is unto “dust” and is “natural” and of the “earth” – whereas the “Second Man” (Messiah) is “heavenly” or “spiritual” and is the “last Adam” the “Life-giving Spirit” (Cf. I Corinthians 15:35-58).

The Christian Canon reveals that man is the “temple of the Holy Spirit” – both individually and corporately.  This metaphor in Christian Canon is all the more emphasized in that Jesus’ remarks about the physical temple in Jerusalem is contrasted with the spiritual temple of man in His discussion regarding the impressive attributes of Herod’s Second Temple expansion and the prophetic destruction thereof which was fulfilled under Titus of Rome in 70 A.D.  Jesus’ comments regarding “destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up” (John 2:19) had to do with the “temple” (naos – Strong’s 3485) of a man’s body (in this case His own) and not the physical temple (hieron – Strong’s 2411) in Jerusalem which was under “prophetic destruction.”

Likewise, when Paul the Apostle speaks of the future Antichrist standing in the “temple” and declaring “he as God sits in the temple of God” (II Thess. 2:4) he chooses the word “naos” with the emphasis upon the “temple of a man” – giving credence that the future “Abomination of Desolation” wherein the Antichrist will be entitled the “Beast” has far more “spiritual implication” than simply (although it is that as well) Antichrist declaring himself in a rebuilt Third Temple in Jerusalem as God – which shall also be a most sacrilegious event if there ever were one…truly “The Abomination of Desolation” of man’s human spirit via the parody of the resurrection of Jesus wherein from that instance onward the Antichrist will become the Beast in that his human spirit, as Satan “entered into Judas” to commit the dastardly betrayal, shall be inhabited by Satan; indeed, enter into the “temple” (naos) of Antichrist and desecrate it.  Thenceforth, Antichrist is known as the Son of Perdition (i.e., destruction).

The Two Witnesses

A number of commentaries suggest that the pillars reaffirm Exodus 13:21-22:

Exodus 13:21-22“And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night. He took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people.”

Thus, the “Pillar of Cloud” and the “Pillar of Fire” are reflected in the Two Pillars of Bronze in front of Solomon’s Temple.

Witness Lee in his commentary on the Two Bronze Pillars of Solomon’s Temple suggests in the “Recovery Version” of his Bible in “Footnote 7:152 the following:

“Eighteen cubits (the height of each pillar) is half of three units of twelve cubits (the circumference of the pillar).  The number three signifies the Triune God, and the number twelve signifies the mingling (multiplying) of the Triune God (three) with His creature man (four).  It signifies further that this mingling is complete and perfect in God’s eternal administration.  Thus, if we would be pillars as a testimony of God’s building, we must first judge ourselves under God’s judgment (bronze) and then be filled, saturated, and permeated with the Triune God.”

Also in Lee’s “Footnote 7:161 it states:

“In spiritual significance the bowls of the capitals are a testimony (two) indicating that those who place themselves under God’s judgment (bronze), counting themselves as nothing, are able to bear responsibility (five) in full (ten) and express the riches of the divine life (pomegranates) in the midst of a complicated and inter-mixed situation (the checker work and chain work) out of the process of resurrection (the base of the capitals, three cubits in height) they do not live by themselves but by God (lilies).”

11Although Witness Lee gives us some measure of insight into the “spiritual nature” of the Two Bronze Pillars, he, nevertheless, uses their measurements to attest to his spurious doctrine of the “mingling” of God’s nature with that of the “human nature” wherein man’s “spirit” is “mingled” with the Spirit of God and they become “intrinsically one” in substance; whereas, the emphasis in Christian Canon is the rebirth of man’s spirit to be in “relationship” or “fellowship” with the Lord.  God’s ultimate intention in “leading many sons to glory” is not to be indistinguishable but to maintain an eternal relationship as Bride with Lamb, her Husband.  We are not “God-men” we are the sons and daughters of Him Who by the Life-giving Spirit has incorporated us into the “One New Man” so making peace.  Partaking of the divine nature does not make one the Divine nature.

Likewise, Lee’s math has something to be desired in that “Eighteen cubits (the height of each pillar) is half of three units of twelve cubits (the circumference of the pillar).  The number three signifies the Triune God, and the number twelve signifies the mingling (multiplying) of the Triune God (three) with His creature man (four).”

“Eighteen cubits is half of three units of twelve cubits” (18 + 18 = 36 cubits – or both pillars; therefore, 18 is 1/2 of 36 –yet within “36” Lee sees three sets of “12”) and 12 cubits is the circumference of the pillar.  Then Lee takes these “invented” three sets of “12” (actually, to our count, including the circumferences of the Two Pillars there would be a total from the “36” of 3 sets of “12” and then an additional two sets of “12” from each circumference, giving us a total of 5 sets of “12”– notwithstanding, Lee then extrapolates the newly created “3” from his three sets of 12 derived from the “36” and declares it stands for the Triune God (that we do not deny – i.e., “3” stands for the Triune God)).  Now, somehow we find the number “4” in all this in that “3 x 4 = 12” which “4” stands for the creation/creature/man (which we also do not deny).  Then in Lee’s estimation this newly-created 3 multiplied by the newly-created 4 (or 3 x 4) = 12.  He then claims that this new “3 x 4 = 12” is the Triune God “mingled” with His creation (man) 3 x 4 = 12.  Lee mixes 18 x 2 pillars = 36 and then dividing 36 / 3 = 12.  He then takes this 12 in one of the circumferences of one of the pillars to highlight that “12” is prominent and produces two factors, 3 and 4, and multiplies them together to arrive at a product of 12 or three sets of 12 derived from his “36” in order to substantiate his claim that in this “36” are three sets of “12” because he divided them by “3” and within the “12” there are two multiplicands (3 and 4) which when multiplied together give us “12” (i.e., 3 x 4 = 12).  Note:  He could just as well divided his “36” by “6” and gotten us a product of “6” and then told us that 2 x 3 = 6, etc.  Free-wheeling with divine calculations seems to be his forte.

Lee’s doctrine of the “mingling” and deriving these calculations from these pillars in this manner is suspect in that it perpetrates his “doctrine of the mingling” whereby God and man become intrinsically of one substance or essence which is wholly contradictory of true Christian doctrine.  We are the children of God – not God Himself.  My son shares my nature but Geoffrey is not Doug, as much as his personality in some respects reflects mine – his height surely doesn’t at 6’4” and I but 5’10 1/2” (although I am slightly diminished at my ripe old age).  Likewise, we are the “Image of Christ” by “beholding and reflecting as a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image, from glory to glory, by the Lord, the Spirit” (II Corinthians 3:18) – but keep in perspective:  The “Image of Christ” is the Bride of Christ – reflective of His glory – she is made to be in eternal fellowship with her husband, as the “Lamb’s Wife” – NOT as the Lamb Himself!  She gloriously “partakes of the divine nature” to be fully prepared as a Bride, adorned in all His glory for His Eternal Relationship – she is NOT Him as in “he that has seen Me (the Son) has seen the Father” – no, as you behold her she reflects the One as a mirror Whom she beholds – there is a huge difference here.  The lie in the Garden is clear:  You shall be as “gods” knowing good and evil – here, one does not need God because you can play “God” – without Messiah, without the Christ, we are only kidding ourselves – “without Him I can do nothing” – that’s Pauline wisdom:  “Christ in me the hope of glory” not me AS Christ!

Talk about free-wheeling with figures – that’s one for the books!  Getting into Witness Lee’s brain is no small fete – likewise, controversy surrounding his teachings is ubiquitous.  That said, he does bring up an outstanding point regarding the 12Two Pillars of Bronze bearing “testimony” to the Almighty’s intentions.

Without any doubt, bronze connotes “judgment” in Sacred Canon.  Furthermore, “testimony” or “witness” in the Sacred Canon – both Hebrew and Christian – validates that the number “two” is absolutely needed for testimony or “conviction” in a trial before a judge.  Thus, we find the “Two Witnesses” in Revelation 11 giving “testimony” or “prophesying” for 1,260 days.

However, in Zechariah 6:1 we read:

“Then I turned and raised my eyes and looked, and behold, four chariots were coming from between two mountains, and the mountains were mountains of bronze.”

The backdrop on the TWO BRONZE MOUNTAINS is covered in Vision #8 in our free e-book:  Unsealing the End of Days…The Visions and Prophecy of Zechariah.  Lee is right to assign this Two Bronze Pillars in Solomon’s Temple as testimony that believers have submitted themselves under the judgment of the Almighty and are, therefore, worthy to enter into the Sanctuary – that “judgment” was taken for us at the “Brazen Altar” of judgment and is typified as the Suffering Servant, Messiah, at His first coming – our “sacrifice for sin.”  He took our judgment – therefore, we enter into the sanctuary.

Even so, the “four chariots” pass through the Two Mountains of Bronze and “are four spirits of heaven, who go out from their station before the Lord of all the earth” who are “released” to bring judgment to the whole earth – for they are “strong steeds” and “went out, eager to go, that they might walk to and fro throughout the earth” (Zechariah 6:7).  Yet, their release or passage is between the “Testimony of the Two Mountains of Bronze.”  That earthly judgment is predicated on the “testimony of two” and is the final vision of eight visions in a stereoscopic presentation of eschatology of unfathomable significance.  In other words:  The Almighty’s judgment on the earth, as in the Revelation, cannot be dispensed until the Testimony of the Two Witnesses is given – it is on the basis of their testimony that judgment is meted out!

Likewise, in Zechariah we have the Two Sons of Oil/Two Olive Trees (Zerubbabel the Governor, the Kingship) and Joshua the High Priest (the Priesthood); and the “two women” with wings “like a stork” who carry the “woman in the ephah” to the plains of Shinar (Babylon), purging out from Israel all her Babylonian contamination and sending the woman in the ephah back to where she belongs!

Therefore, after the dust clears, and all evidenced is weighted – it is our conviction that the Two Bronze Pillars look inward into the Sanctuary wherein God’s judgment and His provision for our cleansing from all “filthiness of flesh and spirit” has been wrought; therefore, we enter into by the “blood of the Everlasting Covenant” and “come before His Throne” with “boldness” because, “once for all” He alone, as our “Suffering Servant” has taken our judgment.

13Likewise, we look outward with the full realization that at the End of Days and throughout history, as far as that matter concerns, God’s judgment in reference to Gentile World Powers is predicated upon the Testimony of Two – they are as Two Bronze Mountains, as Two Pillars of Bronze – they stand stolid as Mountains of Authority – as the Two Witnesses of the Revelation whom we contend have been His Two Witnesses, His, if you would, “spokespersons,” throughout the nigh four-thousand years of history from Abraham ‘til now:  Israel and the Church (Please see:  Israel and the Church as the Two Witnesses of Daniel 12 and Revelation 11).

The Calculations of the Two Pillars of Bronze

Without the measurement, clearly defined, of the Sacred Cubit, all our calculations will be skewed; however, with its discovery, thanks to Sir Isaac Newton, John Taylor and the outstanding research and persistence of the British and their enshrining of these measurements in the “Imperial Mile” (i.e., Statute Mile of 5280’) and its compliment, the Nautical Mile (6072’) and all the “Imperial” measurements derived there from – including the inch, foot, yard, furlong and many other incredibly preserved measurements – we are at a complete loss on the meaning of “God’s Plans” – not only for Solomon’s Temple but throughout Holy Writ!

Again, the establishment of the Sacred Cubit’s measurement is 2.1’ (Imperial foot) or 25.20” (Imperial inches) or 2.1 x 12” = 25.20”.

Throughout our entire series we have validated these measurements – the least of which bear witness in the seven-day week of 360° daily rotation of the Earth x 7 days (to constitute a week) = 2520° or 25.20” as is the case of the Sacred Cubit or 252 or 2502 or 25.02”.

14With that as a “Divine Measurement” we now look at the Two Pillars of Bronze – again, both as an “inward” and as an “outward” testimony – having “judged” ourselves (for He is our sacrifice) and pending the judgment of this world (outward and predicated on the Testimony of Two Witnesses throughout the ages from Abraham on until the final week of Daniel’s Seventy-week prophecy):

18 Cubit Pillar(s) of Bronze:

Length:  18 Cubits Height 18 x 25.20” (One Sacred Cubit) = 453.6” / 12” (in one Imperial Foot) = 37.8’ = 18 NJS (3 + 7 + 8 = 18) or 4 + 5 + 3 + 6 = 18 NJS – thus we immediately notice that the “mark” of the New Jerusalem Standard is at the “heart” of the Two Pillars of Bronze – now let’s secure the “two each” figures:

Two Pillars of Bronze (18 cubits) in inches:  453.6” x 2 = 907.2” (NOTE:  9072’ = Great Pyramid of Giza (GPG) Cubed in feet – continuing to demonstrate that the GPG stands as both an “altar” (an expression of the Bronze of Judgment) and “pillar” to the LORD at its (Egypt’s) border (Giza) as a “testimony” given by the Two Mountains/Pillars of Bronze).  Furthermore, 9072 = 9 + 7 + 2 = 18 NJS; thus, in “inches” each of the Pillars bears the 18 NJS (453.6”) and when combined their totals (907.2”) replicate the 18 NJS.

Two Pillars of Bronze (18 cubits) in feet:  37.8’ x 2 = 75.6’ (NOTE:  756’ = Base Side of GPG) = 7 + 5 + 6 = 18 NJS and doubling this figure we arrive at:  75.6’ x 2 (2 pillars) = 151.2’ or 1512 in Greek Gematria is equal to “Apocalypsis” or “End-time Judgment”

The Circumference of the Bronze Pillars

The formula for determining the circumference of a circle is as follows:  C = π*d (i.e., Circumference = 3.14 x its Diameter).  Well, in our math problem we are given the circumference of the Bronze Pillar as 12 Cubits; therefore, we simply need to find its diameter, because we know that π is equal to 3.14+.

12 Cubits = Circumference of the Pillar

25.20” Cubit / 12” = 2.1 Feet; therefore, 12 cubits x 2.1’ = 25.2’ (Circumference of the Pillar) x 12” = 302.4” (which is the circumference of the Pillar of Solomon’s Temple) and 3024’ is the perimeter of the Great Pyramid of Giza; therefore, the circumference of the Pillar is as follows:

In feet:       25.2’ x 2 Pillars = 50.4’ = 5040 (Plato’s Optimal Number) and 5040/2 = 2520 or the measurement of the Sacred Cubit

In inches:   302.4” x 2 Pillars = 604.8 = 18 NJS (6 + 4 + 8 = 18)

Therefore in calculating the Pillars diameter we “plug” into the formula the following:

25.2’ = 3.142857 * d (Note:  Using 22/7 for π or 3.142857 or C = π * d)

25.2’ / 3.142857 = d

8.018182182644645 = d

Diameter of the One/Two Pillar(s) in Feet = 8.018182182644645 Feet x 2 (2 Pillars) = 16.03636436528929; therefore, we see that when the two diameters of the Two Bronze Pillars are added together the total is “72” (1 + 6 + 3 + 6 + 3 + 4 + 3 + 6 + 5 + 2 + 8 + 9 + 2 + 9).  As tedious as this appears, it gives us an incredible precision if, and only if, we use 3.142857 (22/7) as the standard for π.  “72” is clearly delineated in Gematria as the “Name of God” and is 1° in years of the Great Precessional (or “Mazzaroth” or Zodiac) and its multiplication is as follows:  72 x 2 = 144 or the 144 cubits of the Wall of the New Jerusalem (Revelation 21:17); whereas, 3° of the “heavens” is equal to 3 * 72 = 216 which is the fractal of our Moon’s diameter in miles (2,160 miles) or the Name of God as given in Hebrew Gematria from Exodus 14:19-21; and, its “earthly” echo in Nautical Miles would be 1° in Earth’s Nautical Miles = 60 Nautical Miles x 3° = 180 Nautical Miles or the 18 NJS – whereas, again a Nautical Mile on Earth is equal to 6072’ or, as you can readily see:  60 and 72 or the 60 Nautical Miles in 1° and the 72 Years of the Great Precessional in 1° of the 25,920-year Great Precessional.

Finally, the 8.018182182644645 if each digit/number is multiplied we arrive at this figure:

8 x 1 x 8 x 1 x 8 x 2 x 1 x 8 x 2 x 6 x 4 x 4 x 6 x 4 x 5 = “45” (for one Bronze Pillar); therefore, 4 + 5 = 9 (one pillar) and 4 + 5 = 9 (second pillar) and 9 + 9 = 18 NJS.  Clearly, the diameters in feet of the Two Bronze Pillars attest to the measurement of the New Jerusalem.

Diameter of the One Pillar in Inches =

12 Cubits x 25.20” = 302.4” (Circumference of the Pillar in inches)

Diameter formula:  C = π * d

302.4” / 3.142857 = diameter (or C/π = d)

D = 96.21818619173574”

D = or 9 + 6 + 2 + 1 + 8 + 8 + 6 + 1 + 9 + 1 + 7 + 3 + 5 + 7 + 4 = “78” …and

“78” = 7 + 8 = 15 = the Edge of the New Jerusalem’s 1,500 miles or 15 NJE…(as in 12,000 furlongs x 660’ (one furlong) = 7,920,000’ / 5280’ = 1,500 miles = 15 NJEdge) …and

D = 9 X 6 x 2 x 1 x 8 x 8 x 6 x 1 x 9 x 1 x 7 x 3 x 5 x 7 x 4 = 1097349120  = “36”…and

“36” connotes the Eternal God without Beginning or Ending as in 360° of a circle;  therefore, in “inches” we clearly see the Eternal God bearing witness to the New Jerusalem.  The diameter of this circle is wondrous!

Diameter in Two Pillars in Inches =

Taking the 96.21818619173574” diameter measurement of One Bronze Pillar and arriving at “78” or “15” (7 + 8 = 15) – we would, of necessity see two sets of “15” or 15 + 15 = “30” – thusly, “30” connotes the Number of Messiah at the commencement of His ministry.  Configured another way we see that 78 (one pillar) + 78 (second pillar) = 156 and 1 x 5 x 6 = “30”.

In Summary of the Singular Pillar of Bronze =

In inches:  96.21818619173574”

In feet:  8.018182182644645’

Radius of each Pillar of Bronze:

Since the radius is 1/2 of its diameter.  We will need this calculation for other measurements of the 18 Cubit Pillars; therefore:

In feet the Radius of One Bronze Pillar = 4.009091091322323’

In inches the Radius of One Bronze Pillar = 48.10909309586787”

Surface Area of the 18 Cubit Two Bronze Pillars:

The surface area of a cylinder of the 18-cubit Bronze Pillar as found in I Kings 7:15 – “And he cast two pillars of bronze, each one eighteen cubits high, and a line of twelve cubits measured the circumference,” is calculated as follows:

Using Feet and solving for “A” where “A” = area; and “r” = radius; and π = 3.142857 (22/7); and where “h” equals its 18 Cubit height; and where the formula for finding the surface area of a cylinder is: A = 2(πr2) + 2πr(h); therefore (Note:  “*” denotes “times” or the symbol for multiplication):

Solving for Sq. Feet Area of the 18-Cubit Bronze Pillar:

A = 2 (3.142857 * 4.009091091322323’ * 4.009091091322323’) + 2 * Pi x r (h)

A = 2 (3.142857 x 16.07281137852001) + 2 * 3.142857 * 4.009091091322323’ (18 cubits)

A = 2 (50.51454775066128) + 6.285714 * 4.009091091322323’ (18 cubits)

A = 101.0290955013226’ + 25.2’ (18 cubits)

A = 101.0290955013226’ + 25.2’ x 18 cubits (or 2.1’ x 18 = 37.8’)

A = 101.0290955013226’ + 25.2’ x 37.8’ =

A = 101.0290955013226’ + 952.56’ =

A = 1053.589095501323 sq. feet = 59 = 5 x 9 = 45

A …1 x 5 x 3 x 5 x 8 x 9 x 9 x 5 x 5 x 1 x 3 x 2 x 3 =  21870000 = 18 NJS

Solving for Sq. Inch Area of the 18-Cubit Bronze Pillar:

A = 2(πr2) + 2πr(h) or

A = 2 (3.142857 * 48.10909309586787 * 48.10909309586787) + 2 * 3.142857 * 48.10909309586787 (18 cubits)

16A = 2 (3.142857 x 2,314.484838506882) + 6.285714 * 48.10909309586787 (18 cubits)

A = 2 (7,274.094876095224) + 302.4 (453.6)

A = 14,548.18975219045 + 137,168.64 = 151,716.8297521905 sq. inches = 69 (Until Messiah the Prince or the final 69th Week of Daniel’s Prophecy as recorded in Daniel 9:25-26 “Until Messiah the Prince”)

A…1 x 5 x 1 x 7 x 1 x 6 x 8 x 2 x 9 x 7 x 5 x 2 x 1 x 9 x 5 = 27 = the Revelation of Messiah in the Christian Canon.

Therefore, the surface area of these Two Bronze Pillars in the front of Solomon’s Temple in their 18 Cubit “section” bear ample testimony and witness to the Purposes of God in feet and in inches of their AREAS of the New Jerusalem (18 NJS) and of Messiah’s First (69) and Second Advents (27 – i.e., the Full Revelation in Christian Sacred Canon of its 27 volumes).

Volume or Capacity of the Two Bronze Pillar – for they were “hollow” –

Discounting the 3” (4 finger thickness) of the pillars – their “general volume” or capacity in both inches and feet is determined by using this formula:

Volume of a Cylinder = πr2 (h) or V = πr- where V = Volume; and π = 3.142857 (22/7); and “r” = the radius in either feet or inches of the “cylinder pillars” and where “h” = the height of the Pillars or 18 Cubits – therefore:

Volume in Inches of the 18-Cubit Bronze Pillar(s)

V = 3.142857 * 48.10909309586787 *48.10909309586787 (h)

V = 3.142857 * 2,314.484838506882 * h

V = 7,274.094876095222” * 453.6” (height) = 3,299,529.435796793” (cubic inches) = 92 =

9 x 2 = 18 NJS (Note:  The “92” is derived by adding 3 + 2 + 9, etc. to arrive at “92”)

Each Pillar is equal to 92; therefore 9 x 2 = 18 and 9 x 2 = 18 and 18 + 18 = 36 = The Eternal God 360 degrees.  There is no conjecture that the 18 + 18 is the Divine Work (36) upon the New Jerusalem (18) as a Testimony (2 sets of “18”) of His effort to produce the New Jerusalem

Volume in Feet of the 18-Cubit Bronze Pillar(s)

V = 3.142857 * 4.009091091322323’ * 4.009091091322323’ (h)

V = 3.142857 * 16.07281137852001 (h)

V = 50.51454775066128’ * 37.8’ (height in feet of the 18-Cubit only Pillar of Bronze = 1909.449904974996’ (cubic feet) = “93” = 9 + 3 = 12 or 9 x 3 = 27; therefore 2 sets of these figures will give us either 9 + 3 and 9 + 3 or 12 + 12 = 24 or 9 x 3 = 27 and 9 x 3 = 27 or 27 + 27 = 54; consequently…

12 + 12 = 24 = the 24 Elders of the New Jerusalem or the 12 Gates bear the Names of the 12 Tribes of Israel (i.e., the Patriarchs of Israel) and the 12 Foundations bear the Names of the 12 Apostles of the Lamb (i.e., the Church).  Likewise, “27” bears significance in that the volume in feet of each pillar equates to the revelation of the Messiah in the 27 volumes of the Christian Canon, as well as their addition (i.e., 27 + 27) comes to 54 which is Plato’s Optimal Number / 2 = 2520 which is the measurement/fractal of the 25.20 of the Sacred Cubit; furthermore, 27 x 27 = 729 = 7 + 2 + 9 = 18 NJS.

Without hesitation, the Two Bronze Pillars insofar as their “general volume” concerns bear witness to the Purposes of God in both cubic inches and cubic feet volume and give abundant details in their measurements to the Two Witnesses as Israel and the Church.

Area of a Circle of the Two Williams/Cylinders – the Ends of the Pillars (interior at both ends)

Although the Two Bronze Pillars (Note:  Bronze is also “copper”) are hollow insofar as calculating their volume concerns in either feet or inches, we are also interested in finding the area of the circle “ends” themselves – for that we have another formula:

Area of a Circle = πr2 or π x r x r – where π is equal to 3.142857 (22/7) and “r” is equal the circle’s radius squared or multiplied by itself; therefore:

Area in Inches of the Circle at one End of One of the Two Pillars of Bronze x 2:

3.142857 * 48.10909309586787 (Pillars 18-Cubit radius) * 48.10909309586787

3.142857 * 2,314.484838506882 = 7,274.094876095222”

7,274.094876095222” = 74 x 2 ends = 148 x 2 (Pillars) = 296 = 2 x 9 x 6 = 108 = 18 NJS

Area in Feet of the Circle at one End of One of the Two Pillars of Bronze x 2:

3.142857 * 4.009091091322323’ * 4.009091091322323’

3.142857 * 16.07281137852001 = 50.51454775066126’

50.51454775066126’ = 65 x 2 ends (one one pillar) = 130 x 2 (Pillars) = 260 = 2 x 6 = 12…or

65 = 6 x 5 = 30 twice; therefore, the “12” is prominent having to do with either the “12” of Israel or the “12” of the Church with Messiah “30” engaged with both.

Four-fingers Thickness of the Bronze Pillars

“Now concerning the pillars:  the height of one pillar was eighteen cubits, a measuring line of twelve cubits could measure its circumference, and its thickness was four fingers; it was hollow” (Jeremiah 52:21).

Sundry metrology indicates that a thickness of “4 fingers” is somewhere between 3” to 4” (scarcely four inches thick with the Spirit-filled Bible margin indicating 3” – however, the preponderance of opinion lends far more credibility to the 3” measurement for the wall thickness; therefore…

By reducing to a 3” thickness we find that the diameter of the “capacity” is reduced 6” all around and/or from one side to the other; therefore, the diameter of the “hallow” interior is calculated by using the “exterior diameter” which we determined in inches and feet less the 6”:

In inches:  96.21818619173574” – 6” = 90.21818619173574” = “72”

In feet:  8.018182182644645’ - .5’ = 7.518182182644645’ = “72”

In both instances we have the Name of God “72” for the interior content measurement of the pillars, both in inches and in feet.  Furthermore if we calculate two pillars we arrive at the “144” of the Wall of the New Jerusalem:

72 + 72 = 144 (using the sum of its “inch figures” for two pillars)

72 + 72 = 144 (using the sum of its “feet figures” for two pillars)

144 + 144 = 288 = 2 + 8 + 8 = 18 New Jerusalem Standard

Therefore we conclude that when Jeremiah added information concerning the thickness of the wall at a minimum of 3” (4 finger thickness) the Divine Mathematician wanted us to know that in the destruction of the Temple of Solomon the Almighty (“72”) had in mind our remembrance that these Two Pillars of Bronze pre-figured the Wall of the New Jerusalem (144 Cubits).  It is fascinating to note that the Wall of the New Jerusalem is 144 Cubits (Revelation 21:17) and that this calculation gives us a most amazing figure:

144 x 25.20” = 3,628.8” or 302.4’ which are “fractals” of the perimeter of the base of the Great Pyramid of Giza (GPG).  GPG’s base perimeter is calculated as 756’ (one base edge) x 4 = 3024’ x 12” = 36,288” … furthermore, the GPG extrapolated measurements to conform to the “cube” of the New Jerusalem (a square cube itself as so described) calculate as follows:

36,288 x 3 (for it would have 12 edges) = 108,864” / 12” = 9072’ = 18 NJS (9 + 7 + 2 = 18) – also the 1 + 8 + 8 + 6 + 4 = “27” which are the number of volumes in Christian Sacred Canon revealing Jesus as Messiah in Holy Writ.

This concludes our immediate interest in the “18-Cubit Length and 12 Cubit Circumference” of each of the Two Bronze Pillars at the forefront of Solomon’s Temple.  Now let’s consider the other features and their cubits…

The Two-Tiered Capitals and the Mystery of the Pomegranates

There were two additions to the tops of these 18-Cubit Length Pillars of Bronze.  The one immediately atop the 18-Cubit Pillar was also made of bronze and it is referred to as the Capital and was accompanied with pomegranates as we have previously discussed in various rows – we concluded from the “revelation of the number of the pomegranates” from I Kings and Jeremiah that there were a total of 396 pomegranates, again attesting to both the New Jerusalem (3 + 9 + 6 = 18) and the Earth (for the 396 is a “fractal” of Earth’s Diameter or 3960 miles of its 7,920 miles diameter).  The initial “capital” is 5 Cubits and the one atop it (i.e., the Lilies) is 4 Cubits.

The initial Capital of 5 Cubits in feet and inches:

5 x 21.1’ = 105’ of 15 New Jerusalem Edge – 2 ea. Per Pillar or 15 + 15 = “30” Messiah.

5 x 25.20” = 126” which connotes the 1260 days of Daniel’s 70th Week or BOTH a time of Testimony and a time of Perseverance and Suffering as in 42 months, 1,260 days, 3.5 years, 3.5 days, time, times and half a time.  Likewise, 126 x 2 pillars = 252 which connotes the 2520 or the entire 70th Week or the number of degrees in a full week of the Earth’s 7-day rotation at 360° x 7 days = 2520° and, of course, it is the measurement of the Sacred Cubit itself of 25.20”

Adding the Capital to the Pillar = 5 Cubits (then 3 Cubits).

When we add the 5 Cubit Capital to the 18-Cubits we arrive at: 18 + 5 = 23 x 2 (Pillars) = 46 and 46 x 25.20” = 1159.2” = 1 + 1 + 5 + 9 + 2 = 18 NJS…or 4 x 6 = “24” as in the 24 Elders.

When we consider using feet in the “23” (18 Cubits + 5 Cubit Capital) we arrive at two sets of “15” as in 23 x 2.1’ = 48.3’ = 4 + 8 + 3 = 15 and these two sets of “15” attest to the Edge of the New Jerusalem and/or 15 + 15 = “30” the Messiah’s Ministry commencement at the age of 30.

The Second Tier Capital of Lilies – 4 Cubits

The “capstone” upon our 18-Cubit Pillars are the Lilies of 4 Cubits – clearly, they attests to the New Jerusalem

In Inches:

4 x 25.20” = 100.8 = 18 NJS

4 x 25.20” = 100.8 = 18 NJS

100.8 + 100.8 = 201.6 = the 2160 Diameter of the Moon (the “Moon beneath her feet” Rev. 12)

In Feet:

4 x 2.1 = 8.4’ = 12

4 x 2.1 = 8.4’ = 12

Thus, 2 sets of 12 which bear witness to the 2 sets of 12 of the New Jerusalem and 12 x 12 = 144 the Wall of the New Jerusalem

Various “Cubit Combinations” of these 7-Part Pillars

The Capitals:

When we add the Capitals together we arrive at:

5 Cubits (capital atop pillar) + 4 Cubits (Lilies) = 9 Cubits

In Inches:

9 x 25.20” = 226.8” = 18 NJS (as in 2 + 2 + 6 + 8 = 18)

4 x 25.20” = 226.8” = 18 NJS (as in 2 + 2 + 6 + 8 = 18)

226.8” + 226.8” (two pillars) = 453.6 = 18 NJS (as in 4 + 5 + 3 + 6 = 18)

In Feet:

9 x 2.1 = 18.9’ = 18 NJS (as in 1 + 8 + 9 = 18)

9 x 2.1 = 18.9’ = 18 NJS (as in 1 + 8 + 9 = 18)

18.9’ + 18.9’ (two pillars) = 37.8’ = 18 NJS (as in 3 + 7 + 8 = 18)

Therefore, the Capitals wholly amplify the New Jerusalem Standard of measurement.

The Two 18-Cubit Bronze Pillars United with their Capitals:

When united (5 + 4 = 9) to their 18-Cubit Pillars we find these configurations:

9 + 18 = 27 (attesting as cubits only to the Christian Canon of the Revelation of Messiah in Sacred Christian text); however, we also find this:

In Inches:

27 x 25.20” = 680.4 = 18 NJS (as in 6 + 8 + 4 = 18)

27 x 25.20” = 680.4 = 18 NJS (as in 6 + 8+ 4 = 18)

680.4 + 680.4 = 1360.8” (two pillars) = 18 NJS (as in 1 + 3 + 6 + 8 = 180

In Feet:

27 x 2.1’ = 56.7’ = 18 NJS (as in 5 + 6 + 7 = 18)

27 x 2.1’ = 56.7’ = 18 NJS (as in 5 + 6 + 7 = 18)

56.7’ + 56.7’ = 113.4’ = 1 x 1 x 3 x 4 = 12 = “12” of the New Jerusalem

(Please Note:  113.4’ * 12” = 1360.8” as “In Inches” above these calculations.)

Therefore, we can amply suggest that the combination of the 5 + 4 Cubit Measurements of its capitals + the 18-Cubit Bronze Pillars themselves bear abundant reflection on the Purposes of God as seen in the New Jerusalem.

The peculiar 18 Cubits + 3 Cubits found in II Kings 25:17:  “The height of one pillar was eighteen cubits . . . the height of the capital on it was three cubits.”

18There appears little confirmation – to this author (although I am certain others may know this “secret”) – as to why the capital measurement is given simply as “3.”  Some have conjectured that the simply measurement of “3” connotes the three sets of “72” in the Name of God equaling 216 or simply the Triune God (3).  Notwithstanding – allow us two amplifications of this peculiar measurement:

In Inches by itself as 3 Cubit Capitals:

3 x 25.20” = 75.6” = 18 NJS (as in 7 + 5 + 6 = 18)

3 x 25.20” = 75.6” = 18 NJS (as in 7 + 5 + 6 = 18)

756’ is one base edge of the Great Pyramid of Giza.

75.6” + 75.6” = 151.2 = the 1512 in Greek Gematria of Apocalypsis; therefore it is the opinion of this author that since II Kings 25 speaks of the destruction of King Solomon’s Temple by the Babylonians, it was most definitely an “apocalyptic event” for the children of Judah/Israel (as well) and foresees that final Apocalypse and promised Millenarian rule thereafter!  Keeping in view that “2” connotes judgment and “judgment must begin at the House of God first.”

In Feet by itself as 3 Cubit Capitals:

3 x 2.1’ = 6.3’ = 9 (as in 6 + 3 = 9)

3 x 2.1’ = 6.3’ = 9 (as in 6 + 3 = 9)

9 + 9 = 18 NJS…and

6.3 + 6.3 = 12.6 = 1260 or the “time, times and half a time” or the 1,260 days of the Latter Half of the Seventieth Week of Daniel – the time of great tribulation, and therefore, connotes, once again, the judgments upon the earth and the perseverance of the saints and their overcoming.

When added to the 18-Cubit Pillar these 3-Cubit Capitals equal to 21 as in 18 + 3 = 21 and…

In Inches the Combined 18-Cubit Pillar and 3-Cubit Capitals

18 + 3 = 21 x 25.20” = 529.2 = 18 NJS (as in 5 + 2 + 9 + 2 = 18) – one pillar

18 + 3 = 21 x 25.20” = 529.2 = 18 NJS (as in 5 + 2 + 9 + 2 = 18) – one pillar

529.2 + 529.2 = 1,058.4 = 18 NJS (as in 1 + 5 + 8 + 4 = 18)

In Feet the Combined 18-Cubit Pillar and 3-Cubit Capitals

18 + 3 = 21 x 2.1’ = 44.1’ = 9 (as in 4 + 4 + 1 = 9) – one pillar

18 + 3 = 21 x 2.1’ = 44.1’ = 9 (as in 4 + 4 + 1 = 9) – one pillar

44.1’ + 44.1’ = 88.2’ = 18 NJS (as in 8 + 8 + 2 = 18)

There is no doubt that Israel’s suffering the 9th of Av in the destruction of their First Temple – Solomon’s Temple is overwhelming a preparation of the Almighty for their ultimate destination:  The New Jerusalem . . . FOR HIS MERCY ENDURES FOREVER!

The 35 Cubit Measurement of the Two Pillars of Bronze given in II Chronicles 3:15-17:

 “Also he made in front of the temple two pillars thirty-five cubits high, and the capital that was on the top of each of them was five cubits.”

Two things are going on here – either the Pillars were 35 Cubits from top to bottom or they were 35 + 5 Cubits of Capital atop.  Our general conviction demands that they were 35 Cubits in all and not the 40; however, the 40 does present some amazing measurements – but, again, the 35 Cubits seem all inclusive and include the area of the mount and the connectors (3 in all) between the mount and the 18-Cubit Pillar and between the 18 Cubit Pillar and the first 5-Cubit Capital and the area between the 5-Cubit Capital and the 4-Cubit Lilies – thus, 3 “connector areas.”  There were pomegranates in rows separating the 18-Cubit Pillar and the first capital of 5 cubits and perhaps some between the 5-Cubit Capital and the 4-Cubit Lilies.

Now, I know this exercise in precision may have bored you to tears; however, it didn’t bore God (sorry to sound so condescending here – but this is VITAL information from God’s Plan).  So, having cleared the air a bit – let’s do calculations for 35 Cubit Pillars and for 40 Cubit Pillars (accounting for the possibility that a 5-Cubit Capital extension was atop the 35-Cubit Pillars as found in II Chronicles 3:15-17:

The 35-Cubit Pillars in Inches:

35 x 25.20” = 882” = 18 NJS (as in 8 + 8 + 2 = 18) – one pillar

35 x 25.20” = 882” = 18 NJS (as in 8 + 8 + 2 = 18) – one pillar

882” + 882” = 1764’ = 18 NJS (as in 1 + 7 + 6 + 4 = 18) – two pillars

The 35-Cubit Pillars in Feet:

35 x 2.1’ = 73.5 = 15 New Jerusalem Edge (as in 7 + 3 + 5 = 15) – one pillar

35 x 2.1’ = 73.5 = 15 New Jerusalem Edge (as in 7 + 3 + 5 = 15) – one pillar

73.5’ + 73.5’ = 147 = 1 + 4 + 7 = 12 (“12” is dominant in the New Jerusalem 12 Edges)

7 x 3 x 5 x 7 x 3 x 5 x 1 x 4 x 7 = 308700 = 18 NJS (as in 3 + 8 + 7 = 18)

The 40-Cubit Pillar possibility in Inches:

40 x 25.20” = 1008 = 18 NJS = 1 pillar

40 x 25.20” = 1008 = 18 NJS = 1 pillar

1008 + 1008 = 2016” = 2160 = The Diameter of the Earth’s Moon (The “Moon beneath her feet” – for she is the Reflection of the “Sun of Righteousness” in the midst of the darkness!)

The 40-Cubit Pillar possibility in Feet:

40 x 2.1’ = 84’ = 12 = 12 Patriarchs of Israel = 12 Gates of the New Jerusalem – one pillar

40 x 2.1’ = 84’ = 12 = 12 Apostles of the Lamb = 12 Foundations of the New Jerusalem- 1 pillar

12 x 12 = 144 = the 144 Cubit Wall of the New Jerusalem

84’ + 84’ = 168’ = 15 (as in 1 + 6 + 8 = 15) = 15 New Jerusalem Edge

20In summary it can readily be established the Divine Architect of the Universe fully intended that the measurements of these Two Pillar of Bronze reveal His full intention and ultimate purpose in the Temple, made without hands, eternal in the heavens, and constituting the “redeemed of the Lord” as the full reflection of His ultimate glory between the Creator and His masterpiece in creation:  Humankind.

A Concluding Word in Reference to Copper and King Solomon’s Bronze Platform

The Pillars of Bronze were one of a number of mineral bearing various atomic weights – in consideration of bronze or copper we find the following:

Copper as an element =

Name: Copper
Symbol: Cu
Atomic Number: 29
Atomic Mass: 63.546 amu
Melting Point: 1083.0 °C (1356.15 K, 1981.4 °F)
Boiling Point: 2567.0 °C (2840.15 K, 4652.6 °F)
Number of Protons/Electrons: 29
Number of Neutrons: 35
Transition Metal
Crystal Structure: Cubic
Density @ 293 K: 8.96 g/cm3
Color: red/orange

(From: Chemical Elements / Periodic Table:  Cooper)

Surely, if Copper (i.e., Bronze) has been revealed to reflect the New Jerusalem’s measurements and the Divine Intent of judgment (inward and outward), then we can expect that the element copper will likewise attest to the New Jerusalem – and it most certainly does in that:

29 = Number of Protons/Electrons in a copper atom

35 = Number of Neutrons in a copper atom

29 + 35 = 64 (approximating its atomic mass of 63.546 amu)

2 x 9 x 3 x 5 x 6 x 4 = 6480 = 18 NJS (6 + 4 + 8 = 18)

Better yet, taking copper’s atomic mass of 63.546 amu we find this:

6 x 3 x 5 x 4 x 6 = 2,160 which is equal to the diameter of Earth’s Moon as a Reflection of the Woman of Revelation – for she is the reflection of the Sun of Righteousness = thus, she bears the impress of the “Moon beneath her feet!” – Ultimately, she is the “Woman, the Lamb’s Bride – the New Jerusalem.”

Solomon’s Bronze Platform

To utter perhaps one of the most anointed prayers in recorded history – and rarely has prayer of this magnitude or profound insight been uttered to incite Divine validation in such spectacular display of Smoke and Fire wherein the House of the LORD was filled with His glory and the sacrifice upon the massive Burnt Offering Altar (the Bronze Altar) was consumed in its entirety; thus, was the Almighty wholly satisfied – but so little is known of this special “Bronze Platform” from whence Solomon viewed these proceedings, addressed the people of Israel and prayed such a prayer of dedication to Him before all the people.

Thus, we read:

“Then Solomon stood before the altar of the LORD in the presence of all the assembly of Israel, and spread out his hands (for Solomon had made a bronze platform five cubits long, five cubits wide, and three cubits high, and had set it in the midst of the court; and he stood on it, knelt down on his knees before all the assembly of Israel, and spread out his hands toward heaven)” (II Chronicles 6:12-13).

This apparently insignificant inclusion into the Sacred Text is fraught with profound meaning concerning prayer and its purpose before Almighty God.

22Firstly, of course, King Solomon could easily view all the proceedings – prayer is very practical!  His vision was perfect – but on what basis was this prayer and Temple dedication so offered?  On this basis:

Copper!  The bronze was everywhere – he prayer before the Brazen Altar – the massive altar of burnt offering from whence the Almighty rained fire down from heaven and consumed the entire offering in acceptance of these proceedings and, in particular, the prayer of Solomon.

Ours is not to focus on but the “Bronze Platform” for in it is disclosed profound mysteries.  Its measurements must be observed:

5 Cubits Long (length); 5 cubits wide (width) – therefore 5 x 5 and its height was three cubits.  In essence, we are viewing a cube which is 5 x 5 x 3 equal to a volume of 75 cubic cubits.

His prayer was offered on the basis of God’s Judgment – He had adjudged this platform of prayer in perfect harmony of His intentions – which are seen in these measurements.

Firstly – 5 x 5 cubits = 25 sq. cubits (top) and 25 sq. cubits bottom for a total of 50 cubits and then each of its four sides were as follows:  5 x 3 = 15 x 4 = 60 sq. cubits and in total:  50 + 60 = 110 sq. cubits . . . now let’s break this math problem down again using the 25.20” Sacred Cubit of measurement or its foot equivalent of 2.1’:

In Inches:

5 cubits x 25.20” = 126 Linear Inches  (Note:  126 is a fractal of the 1260 days or 1/2 of a week or 1/2 of Daniel’s 70th Week and is equal to 360° in one Earth rotation day x 3.5 days  = 1260° or 3.5 years in accordance with Daniel’s 70th Week.)

There are 8 “sets” of these 5 cubit lengths on the entire platform – as in 4 on the top or 4 x 5 cubits = 20 cubits x 25.20” = 504 (5040 is Plato’s Optimal Number and 1/2 of 5040 = 2520 or the measurement of the Sacred Cubit itself or 25.20”)

Now we add the bottom 20 cubits of 5 each and arrive at 504” + 504” = 1008 Linear Inches = 18 New Jerusalem Standard; therefore, from “top to bottom” what the Almighty had in view in this prayer of dedication is the New Jerusalem – it is inescapable in reference to these measurements.

Now let’s consider these 5 cubit measurements in feet:

20 x 2.1’ = 42’ (Linear – Top of Platform) + 20 x 2.1’ (Linear – Bottom of Platform) = 42’

Total top and bottom = 42’ + 42’ = 84 Linear Feet or 8 + 4 = 12 or 42 (6) + 42 (6) = 12 or two sets, if you would, of “12” = 12 + 12 = 24 = the 24 of the New Jerusalem.

But we have not forgotten the 3 cubit height measurements – first in inches:

3 cubit height x 25.20” = 75.6 = 18 NJS (as in 7 + 5 + 6 = 18) – likewise, as a reflection of the Great Pyramid of Giza, this is the base measurement of one side of the GPG on one side, which, total pyramid is in and of itself a reflection of the New Jerusalem’s measurements as seen elsewhere in this series.

23That said, however, we have 4 such height measurements in inches; therefore:

75.6 x 4 = 302.4’ (which, of course, is a fractal of the 3024’ of the perimeter base of the Great Pyramid of Giza).

Now, in feet, the 3 cubit heights:

3 x 2.1’ = 6.3 = 6 + 3 = 9; therefore 2 sets on one side of the platform are equal to 9 + 9 = 18 and two sets of 9 on the other side of the platform are equal to 9 + 9 = 18; therefore, we are, in point of fact viewing 18 NJS twice or 18 + 18 = 36 which connotes the number of the Eternal God without Beginning or Ending as in 360° in a circle, or 6.3 x 4 = 25.2 which is equal to the measurement of the Sacred Cubit itself – thus prayer should be measured by God’s standard of measurement and not our own.  His “standard” upholds the “18” which is the Standard of the New Jerusalem.  All prayer must “build” upon His ultimate intention and purpose in the universe.

Now – let’s combine these linear measurements into one:

5 + 5 + 5 + 5 + 5 + 5 + 5 + 5 + 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 = 52 Cubits; thus, our inch and foot breakdowns are as follows (Note:  52 happens to be the number of weeks in a Solar Year – thus is prayer of this nature “always” the case – for a full year connotes a full 52 week period):

52 x 25.20” = 1362.4” but we simply get “16” – what shall we do…for there is a profound meaning here regarding the total linear cubit measurement of this most remarkable platform:

1 x 3 x 6 x 2 x 4 = 144…and the 144 Cubit Wall of the New Jerusalem is the goal, for this is precisely what we see when we see the New Jerusalem:  Its WALL!  And, that wall is comprised of 12 x 12 = 144 of Israel and the Church built together as the Bride of Messiah, the New Jerusalem.

Amplifying the “foot” measurement of these linear calculations we arrive at:

52 x 2.1’ = 109.2 = 1 x 9 x 2 = 18 NJS…therefore, the Linear Measurements of King Solomon’s Bronze Platform, whether in inches or feet, amplifies the measurements of the New Jerusalem and attests to His ultimate Plan and Purpose for the Ages.

How about the surface area or the volume/capacity of Solomon’s Bronze Platform?

We will only attempt this in Inches wherein the “surface area has 6 sides to it:

5x5 = 25 Sq. Cubits (top)

5x5 = 25 Sq. Cubits (bottom)

3x5 = 15 Sq. Cubits (one of four sides) or 15 x 4 = 60 sq. cubits

Therefore, taken separately we discover:

But we must calculate using the 25.20” Linear Cubit x 5 = 126 on one edge x 126 on its other 5 cubit edge or:

126” x 126” = 15,876” (top) + 15,876” (bottom) = 31,752 = 18 NJS (3 + 1 + 7 + 5 + 2 = 18)

And for its sides in surface area:

5 Cubits = 126” and 3 Cubits = 75.6” – therefore, we find that one of these four sides…

126” x 75.6” = 9525.6 x 4 sides = 38,102.4 = 18 NJS (3 + 8 + 1 + 2 + 4 = 18)

Thus, the surface area of the top and bottom of Solomon’s Bronze Platform fully reflects the New Jerusalem Standard of “18” and all the height of the four sides tallies to the “18” of the New Jerusalem.  Now, if we add the top, bottom and side surface areas together we arrive at a most unusual configuration:

Top and Bottom = 31,752

All 4 Sides = 38,102.4

Combined:  31,752 + 38,102.4 = 69,854.4 sq. inches

Now – taking the 69,854.4 sq. inches and dividing by 144 (for there are 144 sq. inches in each square foot – i.e., 12” x 12” = 144 sq. inches in one Imperial Foot) – therefore:

69,854.4 sq. inches / 144” = 485.1 sq. feet or 18 NJS (4 + 8 + 5 + 1 = 18) – that will suffice for the “foot” calculations.

Therefore, the “surface area” measurements of Solomon’s Bronze Platform fully disclose the ultimate intention of the God of the Universe:  The New Jerusalem!

Insofar as the volume in inches concern of Solomon’s Bronze Platform – we must “cube” the platform:

5 cubits x 5 cubits x 3 cubits = 75 sq. cubits – or in inches:

126” (length) x 126” (width) x 75.6” (height) = 1,200,225.6 cubic inches = 18 NJS (1 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 5 + 6 = 18).

And, if converted to feet we find:

10.5’ (for 126” = 10.5’) x 10.5’ x 6.3’ (or 75.6” = 6.3’) = 694.575 = “36” (6 + 9 + 4 + 5 + 7 + 5 = 36).  “36” is the Number of the Eternal God without Beginning or Ending as a circle has 360°.

Therefore, the New Jerusalem (18) is precisely what the Eternal God (36) desires!   If we pray on this basis – if our “consecration” or “dedication” is upon this basis – then God shall hear from heaven and consume the sacrifice in its entirety!

Everything about this obscure “Dedication Platform” made of Bronze (Copper) is wholly designed with God’s Eternal Plan and Purpose in view:  The New Jerusalem.  The “glorious redundancy” of these calculations is unmistakable.  These figures, as they say, “don’t lie” – they are immutable, unshakable, irrevocable proof that the absolute God deals in absolutes and has every intention of conveying these realities to us in these Last Days so that we might understand His intentions and that we might direct all our prayerful efforts in this manner.

May the Lord bless us all as we study His Word to see if these things be so – for nothing is wasted in His calculations – they are all “profitable” for eternity and for eternity’s prize:  The New Jerusalem.  May our reward be on that day, before the Mighty Angel with “feet like pillars of fire” who stood upon the “sea and on the land” with raised hand to heaven declaring “that there should be delay no longer” for “in the days of the sounding of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, the mystery of God would be finished, as He declared to His servants the prophets” – yes, and for those who have an ear to hear what the Spirit is saying unto the churches – those who aspire to be His Church in Philadelphia:

“He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more.  I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God.  And I will write on him My new name” (Revelation 10:1, 5-6; 3:12

25*The Descriptions of the Solomonic Pillars is found in five segments of the Hebrew Canon:

I Kings 7:15-22 and I Kings 7:42-42

            18 Cubits in Length (2 ea) = 36 Cubits

            12 Cubits in Circumference (2 ea) = 24 Cubits

            5 Cubit Height Bronze Capitals (2 ea) = 10 Cubits

            7 Chains for 1 Capital (2 ea) = 14 Chains

            2 Rows of Pomegranates above the Network all around to cover the capitals

            200 Pomegranates in rows on each of the capitals all around (2 ea) = 400 Pomegranates

4 Cubits in the shape of lilies Capitals were in the shape of lilies (Unknown) – could be 4 cubits (2 ea) = 8 cubits (Note:  These 4 cubits could “occupy” 4 cubits of the 5 cubit height of the capitals or extend beyond the 5 Cubits making the pillar 18 + 5 + 4 or 18 + 9 = 27 and therefore could be 27 + 27 + 54); however:  Each pillar in King Solomon’s temple was surmounted by a double capital, which had a combined height of 5 cubits and probably was cast in two parts. The lower section of each capital, called the chapiter, was embellished with lotus work comprising four open and everted petals, each petal being 4 cubits wide. The upper sections of the capitals were not spheres, as is usually stated, but were large bowls. They did not represent what was then known of either the terrestrial globe or the celestial sphere. Modern research has revealed that the bowls surmounting the pillars almost certainly were vessels to contain oil, which could be ignited and would burn steadily.  Tops of the Pillars were in the shape of lilies.

2 Pillars were “by the vestibule of the temple” – Jachin on the “right side” (the south side) and Boaz on the “left side” or North side – therefore, as one is facing the temple pillars toward the West on one’s left is Jachin and on one’s right, North side, is Boaz.  Here we wish to confirm via the renowned archeologist Albright in his text, Archaeology and the Religion of Israel (pp. 139-144):  “…the names of the two columns Jachin and Boaz…which stood before the Temple of Solomon, represent the first words of dynastic oracles, which were inscribed upon them.  The Jachin formula may have been ‘Yahweh will establish (Yakin) thy throne forever’ (or the like) and the Boaz formula may have run ‘in the strength of Yahweh shall the king rejoice or something similar…some of these pairs of columns were used to support the roof of the portico, in megaron (i.e., “central room of a palace”) fashion, others were free standing, without constructional relation to the building.  There can be no reasonable doubt that the pillars Jachin and Boaz were of the latter type.”

II Kings 25:16-17

            18 Cubits in Length (2 ea) = 36 Cubits

            No Circumference Given

            3 Cubit Bronze Capitals (2 ea) = 6 Cubits

            No mention of lilies

            Describes Pomegranates around the Capitals all bronze no numbers given

26Jeremiah 52:17, 20-23

            18 Cubits in Length (2 ea) = 36 Cubits

            12 Cubits in Circumference (2 ea) = 36 Cubits

            4 Fingers was its thickness (2 ea) = 3” x 2 = 6” x 2 Pillars = 12”

            Pillars were hollow

            5 Cubits for the Capital atop the column (2 ea) = 10 Cubits

            96 Pomegranates on the sides

            100 Pomegranates all around on the network
